Laying in deep, soft grass by a small lake Prism was having another lazy day. Rarely did he do much but laze around wherever he happened to be at the time. While he did travel it was rare for him to venture too far. In Prism's opinion there were better things to do with his time than wander about. And today the best thing to do was to relax by this lake with his wolf companion Spectrum. Funny how the wolf was just about as lazy as he was. Even watching the canine hunt for food, Prism could tell he would much rather be lounging in the shade of a tree that work for a meal.

"This is the life huh Spectrum." The stallion turned his head to look over at the wolf, who was currently laying on his back, paws flopping over his belly. He couldn't help but let out a chuckle at the sight. He himself had laid like that once or twice, but Spectrum seemed to be like that almost constantly.

Sunning himself Spectrum was thoroughly enjoying his day. "Boy you said it Prism." The wolf said after a long pause, almost as if he though about whether to waste the energy to reply to his friend or not. His eyes moved over to the stallion, the wolf smiled, his tongue lolling out of his maw.

"I was really looking forward to training today." The lioness said as she padded along beside the large rainbow stallion. It had been highly disappointing to show up this morning and then be told that it had been canceled. As they walked she could hear voices up ahead, ears swiveling towards the sound. "Hey what's that?" She asked curiously and increased her pace a bit.

That was not the first time today Atheya had said that and it likely wasn't to be the last. The lioness was about as eager to train each day as he was. It is no wonder he liked to have her tag along. Her positive attitude certainly made those long days of training and Ironforge's occasional gruffness all the more welcome. He would never complain about training, even on the tough days, it was something he had committed to and he would not turn his back on it, not now, not ever. "I know Atheya. However Ironforge was called away for an important meeting for his herd and we must respect that. The herd is his top priority, and we must exercise patience while waiting for him." Likely Ironforge would be tied up the entire day, but they hadn't wandered too far just in case the meeting went quickly and smoothly.

"Atheya wait!" The stallion called out as he hurried after the lion. Sometimes she was just too eager for her own good. But Atheya was young still and she would learn soon enough to be patient and not run off after every sound and sight. Spotting a Cerynei laying in the grass, and a wolf not far away, the large stallion brought his hooves to a stop. "Good afternoon." He said with a bob of his head though he wasn't sure if the other stallion had seen it or not.

Prism barely blinked an eye when a mountain lion came bounding up to them followed by one very large and colorful stallion. Hopefully they didn't want this spot for themselves as Prism wasn't in a get up and go move and with a quick glance at Spectrum neither was the wolf. "Greetings." Prism said after letting his eyes inspect the large stallion. He was obviously well muscled, probably rarely stopped moving, likely was one of those stallions who dedicated his life to some sort of training too. Prism had met a few of those in his lifetime but had never ever considered that life for himself.

"Sure is warm out today." He said idly, half considering moving to the shade. "I'm Prism, and that's Spectrum." He motioned with his muzzle towards the wolf. "So...what are you two doing way out here?"

His one ear moved slightly as he head the sound of approaching paws and hooves. Spectrum didn't bother to roll over or look to see who it was. He heard no sign of immediate danger and so stayed put. Of course when Prism introduced him the wolf lifted his head slightly, peeking between his front legs at the rainbow stallion and the lion, before setting it back down. He had seen who was here and now it was back to his afternoon nap.

The lioness skidded to a halt and slowly returned to Kaleidoscopes side. She knew better than to run off like that but sometimes her legs got moving before her brain fully thought things through. Luckily there had been no dangers up ahead, just two lazy looking beasts. Atheya couldn't help but smile as she watched the wolf lift its head, look at them and then lay his head back down. "My name's Atheya." She introduced herself to the stallion and then glances up at Kale.

"Kaleidoscope." He said with another bob of his head. "But feel free to call me Kale, most do." Much like Atheya, Kale found the wolf to be a bit funny. He had never seen a wolf look so lazy in all of his travels. Normally when he came across one it would come forward and greet him or make a quick escape if it was shy. But this wolf barely put the effort in to look at them. "It is a touch warm today, though the weather has been cooling down lately, perhaps a sign of an early fall." Kale glanced down at Atheya for a moment, the lioness looked up at him but remained quiet.

"We had a bit of free time." He began to explain as his attention returned to the antlered stallion. "Our training was postponed for a time so Atheya and I decided to wander for a short time while we waited. And what of you two? Do you live around here?"

Prism's eyes settled upon the lioness for a moment. She seemed a bit high energy, something he never understood completely. Why spend your life constantly moving around doing things? Where was the fun in that? Slowly his gaze moved to Kaleidoscope, a rather fitting name for the stallion. "Training huh?" Prism said in a slightly amused tone. He had totally called it, the second he saw the stallion he had known there would be a life time of training behind those muscles. "What kind of training would that be?" Not that being told about it would change Prism's lazy ways, but he was willing to chat with Kale for the time being. Why not? It's not like either of them had anything better to do for the time being.

His attention turned to Spectrum for a moment, when the wolfs paw flicked in the air a few times. Slowly a smile grew on the stallions maw as he realized his friend was starting to fall asleep. "Some predator you make." He jabbed at Spectrum but was doubtful the wolf even heard, or cared. With a shrug of his shoulders Prism turned his focus back to Kale and his lion.

Oddly the stallions deep voice was extremely soothing the Spectrum. It was the type of voice that could put him to sleep. And that is exactly what was happening. As Kale began to explain about training or some such thing Spectrum's eyes began to close slowly. Next his left front paw flicked a few times. A few moments later the wolf was snoring softly, having not even heard Prism's comment.

Settling down on her haunches Atheya was willing to sit quietly while letting the two stallions talk. But her attention kept turned to the wolf lounging in the grass. If she was really exhausted after a day of training then perhaps she could fall asleep that easily, but Atheya doubted this wolf had done much today, or any other day lately. As Spectrum started to snore Atheya could no longer just sitting there, slowly she got to her paws and padded over to the snoring wolf. "Kale...he's asleep." She told the stallion in a quiet, but amused voice as she circled around the sleeping wolf.

Giving a smile Kale recognized the look on the other stallions face. It was the look that said 'oh you're one of those stallions, you wouldn't catch me training' and it seemed to fit Prism perfectly. In fact the Cerynei hadn't even bothered to answer his question earlier about whether or not the pair lived around here. Likely they did for Kale didn't think Prism would travel far to laze around for an afternoon. "Well I have been training for the last few months to become a Knight and serve the Soquili of these lands to the best of my ability. There is still much to do, however my mentor was called away this morning for a meeting in his herd and so the training has been delayed for the time." His attention turned to Atheya as the lioness moved towards the wolf.

"Atheya." Kale called out in a warning tone, reminding her that was the second time today she had wondered off to sate her curiosity. Of course when she stated that the wolf was sleeping, Kale couldn't help but chuckle. He could hear the canines snoring quite clearing. "Yes, I can see that. Now leave him be, you don't want to wake him up." Though Kale wasn't sure the wolf would be so easily roused from his slumber.
