Movie Club is just for you!

Come join us for some...
Action, Adventure, Romance, Comedy, Thriller/Suspense, Horror, Musical, and Drama.
Whatever tickles you fancy, we shall provide!
So, grab some snacks, take a seat and snuggle down!

Commenting during the movie is encouraged!

Meeting Location: In one of the Dorm Lounges, depending on whose turn to bring the movie! (or not)
Requirements to Join: Just show up and sign your name! Must be willing to watch any genre of movies showing. You do not need to come to every single meeting, but movies are always more fun with more company!
Concept/Aim/Purpose: Giving the students a break from school work at the end of each week, have fun, enjoy themselves, and bringing students together! A select few movies will give the students to vote for which they want to watch each week. Movies will be chosen based on majority rules.

((OOC:
- Club meets once a week (thinking friday or saturday) for one movie.
- Movies can be suggested by anyone in the club!
- Each movie NEEDS to be on Netflix or owned by whoever suggested it.
- Students come together to vote on which movies they want to watch, majority rules.
- ONE student per person can join. (if you have two or more, only one can join)
- While watching the movie in Livestream for movie club, you must comment ICly
- You MUST have an AIM user. (for easier logging purposes) Please IM Scyerline06 to join the chat.

- IF you want to LiveStream, you MUST TELL Scyerline before doing so...

- You do NOT need to be able to stream to be a member, just show up!
- You do NOT need to come to every meeting, though it is encouraged. More people the merrier! ))

Questions and Clarifications

Q. So while we actually watch the movies, how do we keep track of the RP?
A. All IC RP will be in the AIM blast (group) chat. I'll be recording the chat as the movie is going, don't worry.

Q. What if I want to talk OOC?
A. You may use the Livestream chat box for all OOC chatting. Please keep the AIM chat strictly IC if possible.

Q. I can't stay for the whole movie, can I leave early?
A. Absolutely! You can just make an excuse for your character to leave, or even say your character was sleeping for the rest of the movie. No worries!

Q. I have other things to do before the movie, is it okay if I come in late?
A. Sure, but you might be missing important parts of the movie! It's understandable if you are busy, no one is going to hold it against you. Well... Maybe your movie friends.

Q. Also how are the students getting a hold of human world movies? OR are we watching movies and giving them an appropriate halloweentown twist and if so who is going to summarize the altered movie plots?
A. Halloweeners do not have access to Human movies. These movies have a Halloween Town twist with the title and/or all "human" characters are portrayed by reapers . The person who presents the movie, can be the one who has fun altering the movie's title and such if they want...

My suggestion? Assume that the human actors are all Reapers and that it was made in Halloween. Why? Reapers look quite like humans, and they're easier to dress: no need for complicated wardrobes since their bodies lack wings (except Valkyrites)/tails/spikes/what have you. That and they don't stink up the set (sorry undead), the camera can't lose them (sorry ghosts), and they're a LOT easier to negotiate contracts/deals with (sorry Prima Donna Demons).

However~ I think if a film is VERY popular IRL and doesn't fit into the Halloween theme at all like Star Wars and Star Trek? I'd call those human bootlegs, if only because Halloween lacks robots/all that future-y tech.

And really bad movies like Twilight can be bootlegs too. I'm pretty sure several vampire and werewolf clans boycott that movie just because it misrepresents their races. C:

Whoever is hosting the movie can log the Livestream chat. just copy and paste the chat from time to time. (since I think it disappears when there is a lot of chatting going around?) Just be sure to change your nicknames to your character's name while we watch the movie, so it's easier to log.

Generally if it's a 'human world' movie I believe it would be like.. a really bootlegged copy of it/not an accurate representation of the human world/etc. It'd kinda be like importing Backstroke of the West. XDD
