 Game: Coloring Eggs
When: NOW until 6:00pm PST August 19th
Rarer than Elders, you - and a potential partner - have a shot at Twins!
This rare occurrence happens when two lanterns share the same essence -
and in this case, that essence is Egg.
...Egg?
So we're a little late, but this duo was meant to be for Easter.
The idea is that you get to pick the oil, keeping in mind that the color
property of the oil is what will 'stain' the Egg essence to keep with the
(belated) theme of dying eggs for Easter! You can pick anything you
want so long as it has a scent (as that is the point of the oil after all)!
You are allowed two entries for the Twins:
⇨ By Yourself, in which you enter your own unique oil that will be
paired with a second winner. I will pick the winner. Please do not ask.
AS WELL AS
⇨ With a Partner, in which you and a friend plan the oils to be in
tandem with one another for something complimentary, contrasting
or otherwise bearing a striking similarity/opposite effect.
At the end of the event, I will pick either two unique entries to win or
a paired entry that is most creative in terms of the Twins' outcome.

make sure they also post the form, preferably one after the other.

xx↳ Why? Lime is a crisp scent, packed full of energy and flavour, the sorbet makes it smooth with vanilla hints. Plus it makes for an interesting dipping color! Lime green with swirls of white? I think so.
Personality: Vani is bright and cheerful! Also happy no matter what, kinda of oblivious to the more serious of things, she usually just says stupid things and doesn't even know it is.

Oil Choice: Orange Juice (Or simply 'Orange', if OJ isn't acceptable)
xx↳ Why? Eggs are chock full of protein and are most commonly served as a breakfast food when not an ingredient to something bigger. Orange juice accompanies as it is both rich in Vitamin C and considered the most popular of breakfast juices. Put these two together and what do you get? A deliciously adorable breakfast Luxia of course! You could just eat her up!
Personality: I have some loose ideas for this one. For starters she'd be all about food. Cooking, eating...if it can be done with food, it will be done by and if it can be tried, it will be tried. Thanks to this, Pomona may very well be a glutton to some degree. I can also see her as rather big on feeding people and being overly boisterous like those who ladle more and more food on a plate even though the one being served is politely refusing to and growing more and more distressed by the extra helpings and the zeal of their host. In that regard she'd be something of a mother figure as well, caring for others and making sure they're fed and/or eating well, stockpiling them with food if they seem to not be either of those two things: no matter how much they deny it. What's more, she may even like experimenting with food she finds in the human world and passing around the result to any hapless Luxia she stumbles upon, for better or for worse. Finally, I could also see her being the sort who pays extreme attention to detail all at the same time, bordering on a perfectionist. Chefs do place a lot of emphasis on the presentation of their dishes after all!

xx↳ Why? Halva is a type of honeyed cake, often translated to "Sweetmeat" which is common throughout many countries. The colours and taste of Halva are simple yet faintly sweet, and in their simplicity they can call back to the simplicity of an egg. There are many types of Halva, so I picked out two specific images to help OTL x, x.
xxx Halva is a sweet dessert, while his twin's oil is sour; this combo adds to the nature of their relationship. They are meant to balance each other out. They also represent, in small cultural ways, the different places which their oils are from.
Personality: Given his oil and essence, Sevastyan is faintly nurturing, but he is quiet and can be strict at first until you understand his strictness is purely out of worry for your well-being. Sevastyan likes to listen more than talk, but when you get him to speak, he has much to say. Unlike his twin, he is easy-going and caters to milder tastes.

Personality: Arjuna is not one for others. He's easily annoyed by most and questions their intelligence often. If one were to try and strike up a conversation with him, they'd only get sharp sarcasm in return. Now, this does not mean he cannot be happy, no! Arjuna feels the best when he is with his twin sister. She seems so different than others, and he would do anything to protect her. So, if he doesn't like someone trying to talk with his sister, he'll let it be known quite loudly. He would not be adverse to beating someone up, either.

Granita al Limone is a Italian desert which is sour and very cold. Unlike his brother his colours are very bright however the colouration is still natural which is what links them together. Though the deserts themselves have two totally different flavours and originate from two totally different cultures which represents how different the two personalities are.
Personality:
You should never really judge a book by its cover however in Savio's case his name pretty much sums him up. In Italian it means 'bright' which fits perfectly with his outgoing and sometimes flirtatious personality. He is very vain, especially when it comes to his appearance and he gets jealous very easy if he sees someone getting more attention than him. He is very loud and everything he does has to have an air of extravagance about it. When he is nearby he is very hard to miss because of his shocking colour scheme and dramatic personality. Admittedly he is not to the tastes of everyone and is at times hard to swallow.

Oil Choice: Prickly Pear
xx↳ Why? The prickly pear fruit on its own is hard to get at covered with thousands of small hairs and needles; but once you peel away that outer layer you find it has a tart gooey taste with a hint of sweetness. The pear is full of thousands of small crunchy seeds that give it a fun texture, a bit like tapioca. It has a wonderful smell, very akin to figs, and comes in a myriad of dark purple, red, and orange colors.
The colors seem perfect for Easter egg dipping, and prickly pear fruit makes some of the best candy, a favorite Easter treat!
Personality: Morrow can be callous at times, careless with his actions and words. He doesn't realize how 'prickly' his personality is, and has to put a lot of effort into being kind and gentle with others, when he does try. Morrow is also quite clumsy, always tripping himself up and making things awkward. Not that it phases him any; it'd take something drastic to ruffle his feathers.

xx↳ Why? Wisteria a mild, but light and airy fragrance, a delegate fragrance one might say. I've chosen this not only for the sheer beauty of the flower, but also for the lore behind it; though for the life of me I can't find the exact version Im looking for.... The gist of the tail was a young beautiful maiden fell in love with a sailor who vowed to return to her. Everyday she would wait for him looking out at the sea from a clif, until one day she heard of her loves passing. She was utterly heart broken and devoted to only him and so she threw herself off the cliff to rejoin her love in the sea. The gods admiring their love created the Wisteria that grew up the cliff side for all to see and admire...to be inspired as they were.(sucky description, if I can find the original story Ill edit it in if allowed)
Personality: She is devote in her ways and very kind and caring to all she meets. She is steadfast and headstrong with a strong heart, she believes in doing what's right and in helping those less fortunate. She loves young ones, and looks to forward to having a family..a love of her own. She is deeply devoted to her friends and does everything possible to help them. She does not take lightly to other taking advantage of and looking down on those 'weaker' then themselves, no matter who they are and no matter how strong...she won't back down if its protecting an innocent.

Personality:
Quiet, but sweet, Saria sees the world through the eyes of a child, in the simple and plain terms of black and white. Hearing of Toa's plight, she desperately wants to do anything she can to help, and though she may fear Azael, her heart is a stranger to the emotion of hatred. Her emotions are very simplistic, and her world views are very idealistic. Her sense of basic trust, unfortunately, also means that, generally, she's rather easily led astray, especially by those of her own kind, and quite gullible.

Every year, millions of easter eggs are boiled, coloured, hidden, found, delighted over - then thrown away because no one wants to eat yucky old dyed hardboiled eggs. If only there could be some way to prevent this eggy tragedy - this hardboiled egg genocide...if only...if only they had come packaged with some salt. And not just any salt: the queen of salts - Fleur de Sel. Hand-harvested by dedicated paludiers from the exclusive salt ponds of Brittany, only the uppermost layer of floating crystals may be scraped for this artisanal condiment - with such a gourmet accompaniment on hand, not only will the Easter Eggs you have hunted never go uneaten, you'll be raiding your neighbours' baskets for more - more - anything to eat with Fleur de Sel...or so I have heard. But that's not all: coming in the sparkling crystal colours of pure white, faint grey, and pale pink - thanks to convenient mineral and algae (completely edible!) traces - oil of Fleur de Sel would colour an egg most enchantingly; imagine, the delicate tints and streaks - how ethereal, how exquisite, how...expensive-looking. Perfect! And to top it all off, more than perhaps any other salt, Fleur de Sel is scented most nostalgically of the Atlantic from whence its waters flowed...and the drifting hint of violets from whence it earned its name. Could you get any more ridiculously romantic than that?
Personality:
Ah, how perfect it would have been if the scent of the queen of salts had attracted a queen of souls…unfortunately, lanterns don't always work that way and anyhow twins come in pairs. And so it was that the delicate oil of Fleur de Sel landed a no-nonsense, fussy, exacting, finicky, precise wet blanket with all the charisma of your financial auditor. In his past life, he may well have been your financial auditor. (Can Luxia wear glasses? 'Cause he keeps reaching for some to peer disdainfully over.) Gwenrann Does Not Approve. Of Anything. But don't take it personally - he's just a perfectionist who sets his standards high. And the one being that suffers the brunt of his disapproval is naturally that troublemaker, that rabble-rouser, that insufferable no-good hellion: his twin brother, Calicut. Much of his existence has become devoted to following the chaos his brother has wrought and attempting to straighten out the mess - and he does complain, oh, he does complain. Half the soundtrack to 'Cut's life consists of Gwen's endless tirades about the trouble he's been, usually culminating with a scornful 'what would you do without me?' But deep inside, anxious, clingy, insecure, a neurotic wreck - in other words, the dark flipside of an exacting perfectionist - Gwen knows the real question is what he would do without 'Cut, and if he can help it, he's never going to need to find out…
As half of egg twins, Gwen's personality symbolises the aspect of 'protection': the shell shields its content and keeps it safe - but also closes it off from the world, and cages it from freedom.
Name Note: Gwenrann is the original Breton name of Guérande, the medieval town from whence Fleur de Sel hails. I chose the Breton version rather than the French for less linguistic dissonance with his twin's name.

Pepper goes with eggs like salt goes with either. For true flavour, only the King of Spices will do. It speaks volumes of the plant native to India and several parts of Asia that by the Middle Ages - the Middle Ages - that Europeans were snitching trading pepper, colonalising inviting the noble Pepper into their households, making their children and future generations believe that they'd had pepper to go with their eggs for breakfast all this while, and confusing their kidlets by calling capsicums pepper. No - those cannot compare to the delicate potence of precious peppercorn, in their varied colours: black, white, green, red...colours you would certainly expect to see on an Easter egg, bold, exotic streaks of brazen colour. Just like its fiery flavour!
To go with Fleur de Sel, only the most premium of pepper will do. None of that pre-ground stuff, packaged into sanitised, unexciting shakers; peppercorn should be freshly ground to release its piquant impact upon hitherto-abandoned Easter eggs.
Not to mention, if your neighbour won't give up their damn eggs, they make pretty good sprays, too.
Personality:
This sort of flippant behaviour and bold, yet casual, personality can only come from a man so privileged that he can afford to be so. And privileged he probably was, in his past life, perhaps a young CEO who inherited his father's company, fairly good at the business when he wanted to be but wilfully ignorant otherwise, leaving his brother financial auditor to deal with it. But Calicut lives in the now, and he lives in the now, flirty and flighty and defying stuffy social conventions for all he's worth. His brazen confidence comes with disarming honesty; you'd have to be very confident to straightforwardly tell others what you think, and to readily admit your shortcomings and mistakes - not that he finds them problematic for long, he's moved on already. Enjoyment is the priority, and if you can, which he can, leave the little fussy details to someone else (hello Gwenrann).
As the other half of egg twins, 'Cut's personality symbolises the aspect of 'potential': the embryonic emergence, ability to make new things happen and forge a new path. Though, since it's been hardboiled, I guess the potential is dead, which is why he keeps squandering it...
Name Note: Calicut is the Anglicised version of Kozhikode, the City of Spices where pepper was grown and traded. I went with that to match his twin's name better.
