Now Introducing,
Tiamat!
╚══════════════╝

xxxxxOnce a fast talking and self-absorbed waitress, Tatiana was abducted by a group of four men trying to strengthen the link between Science, Magic, and the Spiritual World. Though the experiments were basically a success, they didn't realize that Tatiana, or Tiamat which is her dragon name, was still conscious of her human life. Now, instead of getting nobel prizes the men got shallow graves when she finally broke out to reck havoc on the city that allowed these injustices happen.

Unable to return to her human form without a very specific combination of technology, magical ritualism, and spiritual sacrifice, fate has only repaid her with the ability to spew fire from her mouth, fly through the air, breath under water, and shatter earth with her tremendous weight. And to think, before the transformation she only had to worry about fitting into a size zero.

☯☁ Luciana ❦ ☆Tian Li ♬✦Alverstein
Known to all as...ϟPhoenixϟ
There is no such thing as a lost battle☮ There is only a loss of heart

Her black hair flowing out in strands behind her, Luciana 'Phoenix' Alverstein more or less sauntered down the street, catching quite a few looks from passerby. Her gait was lopsided and uneven as usual, yet there was a new found bounciness to her step, as if she couldn't stay on the balls of her feet for too long. Looking at her, no one had known for all the world that this seemingly happy go lucky girl was getting ready for a certainly difficult, maybe almost impossible mission.

She herself wasn't exactly quite sure why she felt so relaxed in the wake of impending doom. Phoenix was by no means, cocky. Alright, so she wasn't the most down to Earth person, that was a given. However, she was never quite over her head either. This emotion seemed to manifest itself more as cheerfulness rather then confidence. Somewhere in the back of her mind, Phoenix knew that the chances of succeeding in this mission might not be high, and yet somehow, her good spirit wasn't going to be dampened. I just hope that the others aren't going to be all gloomy about it. She thought, tilting her head to the side and flexing her gloved hands experimentally.

For a mission like this, Phoenix knew that she couldn't wear anything flashy. No necklaces or scarfs, as they might impend a choking danger, and high heels and hoop earrings were certainly off the list too. Yet, even without those options, she still managed to pull off a seemingly fashion show worthy wardrobe. Her trademark black leather gloves were as usual, in place on her hands and she wore a flapping, denim jacket with a complimentary gray V-neck shirt underneath. Instead of her usual jeans, Phoenix had decided to opt for some Capri pants for more flexibility should the need arise for running. On her feet were a well worn pair of black and white sneakers with a checkered pattern.

As Phoenix headed down the street, she folded her hands behind her head and tilting her neck back, whistled slightly as she strolled on ahead. The trio had promised to meet at a location well out of the center of the city, around a back alley. It was perhaps only a few blocks down from where the dragon was said to be housed. While Phoenix had lived in the city for some years, she hadn't exactly been in these parts before, and her cheerful enthusiasm partially melted away to alertness. Of course, Phoenix, having worked on a place like Dresden Street for years, wasn't a stranger to the odd come and go, but that wasn't going to exactly make her relax. Stepping into the alleyway, Phoenix's foot immediately came into contact with a puddle and she recoiled slightly before standing around in a drier spot, waiting. As she loitered around, Phoenix took a look at her surroundings. Certainly, it was the perfect place for an out of the way science experiment like a Human turned Dragon.

Luna was still trying to decided why she offered to go on this mission. Mostly it seemed like a good way to make she survived another day and part of wanted to prove to herself that she could do some good with this "gift" of hers. It had taken her a good bit of the morning to decided on what she was going to look like. The outfit itself was simple enough, black turtle neck tanktop, black gloves that went well past her elbows, thick black leggings and black boots. She knew many heros and villains had masks, that had been an option too but she thought of using her own spin instead.

"This is going to hurt...." She muttered to herself. Then she began the transformation. Screaming in pain Luna let her mouth grow into something more resembling a wolf snout and her ear move up her head and take on a wolven shape. But the thing that hurt the most was the tail, growing out of a tailbone that should never grow a tail. Gasping for air once it was all over Luna looked at herself in her apartment mirror. She smiled, no blood around the muzzle or ears. Pulling the turtle neck part over her lower face Luna made her way towards the back door. "Time to stop a dragon." She muttered.

While her speed did not change at all when she partial transformed Luna felt somehow like she could hold it longer, though that might just be the adrenaline pumping through her vains. As she ran towards the destination spot she let out a loud howl. Maybe she had changed too much. Luna shook her head, no her mind was still all there. It must be the excitement of doing something bigger then just herself. Yes that must be it.

Luna slowed as entered the block where the alley was that they were to meet. The team, Luna prayed to god that would not be the weakest one, nor that might need to lead them. Being a voice of reason was one thing, being the leader was another. She began to pray that Jewish standard time had kicked in for her and that she was the last on there. As she entered the alley she saw another girl already standing there. "Glad to see I am not the last." Luna said calmly, making her voice heavily accented, something she had not done since she had started college.

How do I look?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mac sore under her breath as she rushed to put paint the dot around her left eye on with a make up sponge. She powdered her face and shoved her dark red human hair wig on over her black mop. She looked great, but in her head she was second guessing everything. That's what being late got her. The little hero checked her guns one last time before leaving her dorm. Once off campus she started to run. In her super suit running wasn't hard at all, but with her mind full running was a task indeed. The meeting place was only a couple blocks away but she just knew the other two would be waiting on her, she was always late. It was like a rule.

She started walking rather then running when she was only half a block away. Not wanting to look out of breath or nervous she ran a hand though her wig and checked her face in a window she passed by. Everything looked good. She could do this. How hard would it be to take down a dragon? Just shoot it in the head right? She'd figure something out.

When Mac arrived at the ally, she walked right down and saw two other women. The ones that were assigned to this mission too. The college student gave a one sided smile, the left side of her lips upturning. They both looked green... This would be harder then she had thought.

"Okay ladies. My name's Mac, Sort for Macintosh. I'm a technopath. What can you two do?"

She put her hands on her hips and looked from the wolf girl to the Asian beauty, What could the wold girl do? that's what Mac wanted to know, was her power... be a wolf? Because if so that wasn't very helpful. Maybe she would get a surprise though. Maybe the girl would shoot blazers out of her eyes. Asian girl probably had some kind of ancient Chinese mistisim going on.

Luna's ear's perked up as the third and final member of the group showed up. Turning her slightly she watched the girl enter. Brilliant Luna thought almost darkly after the girl introduced herself. A Technopath... was she planning on choking the dragon with wires? Luna prayed this girl came with some weaponry.

"Name's Moonlight." Luna said coolly her thick Israeli accent shining through. She made a mental note to herself to have her nails become claws once everything had started. Even though it did not really hurt, the only transformation that didn't hurt simply because it was just speeding up a natural process, it never felt quite right, like having your hands fall asleep only at the tip. "I am a were-wolf, since you asked. I am best at close combat." Like she really needed to explain her fighting style, which was mostly biting when it came down to it. Biting and scratching... and making ear-piercing howls.

Moonlight looked sideways at the Asian girl wondering what she could do. Otherwise this may end pretty. Her self-preservation instincts were starting to kick in. At the first sign of real failure she would run. They was no point risking ones neck unless there was a good chance of winning. Moonlight could already that her skills as a close range fighter might not be too helpful, though distraction with the howling might be slightly more useful. Mac's power of technology also left something to be desired, what could a technopath do besides hack anything?

This was going to be a great team. There was too much self doubt and that was going to make Moonlight weak. A wolf was a strong confidant creature able to take on creatures many times it's size. Shame I had not gone full wolf, might have been more useful... No bad Luna, you are fine like this. That running thing might not have just been adrenaline. Moonlight let out a low growl. She wanted to get this started before she lost her nerve and thought this was worse idea then she already thought it was.

Phoenix didn't expect to wait long for her other teammates, but when Luna appeared at the start of the street, the young Chinese girl couldn't help but give a small jerk of surprise. She hadn't expected anyone to come along so early. Pulling herself away from the wall she was leaning against, Phoenix gave Luna a half smile. It wasn't a comment that really needed an answer, and with the mission looming literally in front of them, she wasn't exactly in the mood for lighthearted prattle.

For a few moments, the two stood in complete silence, two strangers that had just met and weren't quite sure what to make of each other. Just as Phoenix was about to reconsider and actually try to strike up some conversation, the last member of the team finally jogged up. Before she could say a short 'Hello' or even nod her head in greeting, Mac was already shooting off her introduction, her abilities and asking what the other girls could do.
A technopath, huh? Phoenix thought to herself. Not that that's not cool or anything...but how is that going to help us? Maybe this Mac girl had a lot more up her sleeve then she let people think.

Realizing she should properly introduce herself, Phoenix crossed her legs slightly and leaned against the alley wall once again to maintain her balance. She wasn't going to risk an embarrassing fall here. "My name's Phoenix," She introduced herself lightly, the traces of a Chinese accent still visible even after years of loitering around in America. "As to what I can do..." Phoenix paused for a second, hesitating. What were the other girls going to say if she told them. Would they be disappointed, surprised, scornful even? She wasn't exactly sure what they expected out of her-maybe Chinese magic of some sort-but they probably weren't going to get what they hoped for.
No more stalling you big baby. Just tell them...
Taking a deep breath, Phoenix rambled on, "My ability is Earth bending...but while it's useful, just don't expect anything absolutely fantastic out of me,"

Whenever she said 'Earth bending', Phoenix could particularly see the awe and the admiration in the eyes of others, but whatever they were visualizing probably wasn't something she could pull off. Collapsing the ground in various places, yes. Bending the Earth slightly to her will, yes. Full scale earthquakes or even just letting walls fall in? No.

Moonlight smiled under mask, knowing that they had someone could fight from a distance, she was likely the most powerful among them. This may not end up being so bad after all. Luna thought of how their chance might have gone up. Now all they need to do was come up with a plan.

"So do ve know know about this dragon beside her history and what she looks like? Ve should come up with a battle plan before ve being." Moonlight said flatly. They would have a work to do to make sure that city was safe from this dragon. A dragon that had once been human. It was kinda ironic to Moonlight, fighting someone who had been forced to become something, like and becoming a werewolf.

Moonlight did not see a way for them to be able to save this dragon from herself. But did they have the power to stop her? Moonlight could not guess. They had a technopath, a werewolf and an earthbender, would that be enough to stop a dragon? Moonlight looked at the other waiting for an answer.

If there was anything Phoenix hated, it was admitting that she didn't know something. However, she wasn't a liar or a pretender, and wasn't about to go around fooling herself and others into believing she knew something she didn't. In the case of the dragon in question, Phoenix understood next to nothing. Aside from the little information that had been given to them, there was nothing else she knew. Of course, she had attempted to 'do her homework' and scope out some other information about the dragon, but that info wasn't exactly something that could be found on Google. It would require massive hacking skills and a lot of knowledge. Hopefully, their technopath girl had somehow managed to seek out the information Phoenix couldn't.

"To be honest, I know no more then you do," She disliked charging into battle without a plan, but their enemy was a figure enclosed in top secrecy and shadow. Despite hours of searching on the internet, she had come up with nothing but sore eyes and stiff fingers.

Another, more pressing thought was occupying her mind anyway. If they could kill the dragon-it was a big 'if'-could they restore the lady she had originally been back to her true form? Or was that not going to be possible? Were they going to have to shatter her human self as well as the dragon beast dwelling inside her? While Phoenix had no problem in slaying a trouble making dragon, she wasn't keen on killing the all too human soul as well. But if that was the sacrifice they'd have to make...
