Shockingly enough, murder had not been her goal. It hadn't been part of her plan at all, but here she was, a body laying before her, blood pooling at her paws and a look of absolute fear on the smaller lioness (said lioness is not a real played SoA). Sabia peered, almost glared at the now still body, a last breath leaving in a sharp sound of sighing. The eyes were glued up and wide, her jaw was ajar in a soundless scream. The whole image petrified yet pulled Sabia in. She despised what had become of her and began a nasty job. The flicker of what happened played in her mind like a motion picture.
---
The sun was shining, bright and pure, Kupa, a lion she had taken a huge liking to hadn't returned from a hunt yet, so Sabia was alone to play her own games, what she hadn't realized was Kupa was taken to his homeland where he had run from. The news being set aside for now Sabia found herself wandering, a water hole was not to far from where they had stopped and so she went there, this was when the clouds pulled in. She climbed slowly, steadily into the water which slid around her paws and played between her toes then covered her to her stomach and she decidedly sunk in to just about her neck. It was cool and refreshing, just what she needed as the sun was still at a cool point in the sky. Here she spent many hours bathing.
After the hours past she pulled herself from the water, still not concerned of Kupa's where abouts, he was a fairly large lion and could take care of himself. She chose a nicely positioned rock and began the process of cleaning and drying her fur to begin sun bathing. That was when the other lioness approached. At first she didn't seem to see Sabia, her fur was a nice mix of brown and light brown undertones. It was her back that caught Sabia's eye, the marking was intricate and seemed 'woven' or dyed into the pelt, the female seemed sly, but unaware of her surroundings still as she dipped her head to lap at the water. It seemed to be a reflection that caught her eye and suddenly she peered up with a sneer. She was a haggish old lion, with a scare running clean down the middle of her face. The sneer and the scar should have tipped Sabia off that it would be a gruesome day, but thought nothing of it.
Beckoning the lioness over to share her rock, Sabia put on her nicest face possible and smiled all the while they had a conversation, exchanging names and brief pasts the two began to chatter like old friends. That was when the female mentioned something out of the ordinary. She mentioned Kupa, now Sabia was not very territorial, or so she thought, obvious this learned her. Suddenly the lioness got a smug look and began lying through her teeth. Smearing his name with her foul stench of a voice. Sabia growled and stood, becoming rigid as can be, that was when the storm hit. Rain poured dramatically upon the scene, the passion was fiercely alight in her eye's and the lioness realized quickly that Sabia meant business. Not to often she cared for things, but today was passed that and to her territory, her grounds and where her ownership of her man lay.
"Your slander is disgraceful..." The words slipped out before she could think, it made her stop and wonder was she even thinking, but that thought was so quickly gone that her mind slipped. Sanity disappeared and rage fixed itself right in place. Her Father, she was a the same, brutal, aggressive and hateful. Say one wrong thing and your guts could be painted on the canvas that is the Savannah. A growl seeped through her jaws, her eyes carried a blank expression, that was when she lunged. It was then that she blacked out and awoke to the scene, rain gone and blood pooling.
---
The task was completed, she gazed down, a pelt stripped free from it's now dead corpse, the blood and organs were spilled where the body lay and Sabia was breathing hard, tears running down her own pelt and beating against the dry ground. She looked upon where the face had been, she glared at the empty space. It was an empty space because Sabia removed the fur, meat and muscles away to reveal the bone structure, a face that would now be hers forever more, to show she defeated the lies and moved on. She growled fiercely and roared to the sky, her blind rage wiping away memories of Kupa momentarily and beginning a new phase in her life. A bold adolescent with a new pelt and a new mask and a new idea. Standing she picks up her new mask and carries it to the water, begins washing off the blood and remaining muscle that refused to be disassembled. It took a while of gathering, but given a bit more time she found some scraps of birds, extra teeth and some thick plant like substance to tie it altogether. She first wound the mask to her face, teeth making the plant like rope more sturdy and next came the pelt, she had brought it to the water and washed it thoroughly, cleaning all sorts of debris. The marking caught her eye several times, but she looked away stubbornly. "Stupid.." After the pelt had time to dry she had finished putting together the final pieces in place and pulled the pelt over top of her shoulders. She attachs the birds skull with some trouble, but is finished by the end of it. A craftsmen she could've been, not a good one, but one at all.
From that day forward she vowed to venge any liars and more. What she didn't come to realize was that she had become a tortured soul. Her Fathers actions were atrocious enough, but it was becoming a realty that.. Like Father, Like Daughter.
