Ooops! A Foal Contest!


Welcome to a contest for two of the foals picked above. This will be a name and personality contest for two of Rowan and Ruins offspring. Keep reading below for all the details of the contest.

The Family

The Father: Rowan
In his previous life Rowan was quite the ladies man. Mares fell over themselves hoping that the deep voiced Palomino would take them in even for just one night. Though now he is a changed horse. He is more reserved about his actions, especially around mares, knowing that his beaten hide and ropes are a turnoff. He still has a fire in his soul that rages over the wrongdoing the humans did to him and should he ever run into one he would do his best to exact his revenge. His loyalty to the Hell Herd and it's leader is never questioned. Should he be told to kill another horse, he would do so without any hesitation.
Still feeling the urge to have a nice mare at his side Rowan found himself attracted to both Ruin and Medea for different reasons. Medea and him had similar deaths being chocked to death. While Ruin he watched grow up from a foal and admires her for a number of reasons. Unable to choose between them Rowan divided his time between both. Of course he never expected to be a father twice over at the same time. Now he finds himself divided even more, between duties, his two mares and his four children. What's a stallion to do?

The Mother: Ruin
Ruin's face isn't the only thing that's 'ruined' in this little filly. Like her father Ruin can be considered a bit off in the head, unlike him however she does remember things - the important things at least. Ruin has a tendency to mix up or forget the small details in life, telling you she's off to eat water, or drink grass is commonplace and I wouldn't be surprised if she calls you by someone elses name..or a completely made up one either. Ruin however doesn't always understand why horses have trouble following her directions and can get viciously irate when corrected, she thinks herself quite smart and clever and everything makes perfect sense in HER head. It's not her fault your stupid. She also believes that her position in the herd deserves some respect, her father is an Alpha after all and woe to anyone who call's her the daughter of an 'outsider.'
Ruin isn't impressed by the fact that Rowan has his eyes, and affection and not to mention another foal, with another mare, but to her she has won. Her foals, unlike Medea's show signs of decay and she had three, whereas Medea has only one.

The Brother: Reaper
Reaper is a dominant little colt. He is very much the domineering and hard type, much like a war general, good with fighting and tactics. He's very much the kind of horse that no one really likes most of the time but when the s**t hits the fan they know he'll get stuff done.

The Other Mare: Medea
Medea was a witch in her earlier life - that is she spent her time practicing to become one anyways, she's cold hearted and doesn't seem to give a wit about other horses problems..as long as she benefits from something that all is good to her mind. Unfortunately for Medea she was then strangled by a druid herd for being a witch and sent to hell...thankfully while she was there she met up with her old Mentor Rasputin and the two of them found a way back to the earthly plain thanks to a rather dim witted if strong brute named Thorn. Now they're part of the hell herd and who knows what the future holds.
The foal that she had with Rowan was a bit of a surprise, but she plans to teach Nimue all there is to know about witchcraft so thatt he foal may earn her place in the herd.

The Half-Sister: Nimue
Nimue feels like a bit of an outcast in this mixed family. Her half siblings seem to get more of her father's attention than she does. And what's worse, they have decay but she doesn't. Being a normal looking horse in the Hell Herd is a hard thing to deal with. But Nimue is determined to secure her place among the horses and prove that though she looks normal she is far from it. Nimue is now posed to learn, as her mother did, the ancient are of witchcraft and use spells to find her place. It will be a long road ahead for her but Nimue does not give up easily.

The Grandfather: Thanos
Thanos was once an arrogant stallion who thought of himself well before others. He still does this from time to time but now his concerned are with the herd and getting them ready to conquer the lands.He is rough and heartless but does indeed have a soft side, though it is well hidden. Thanos’ mind is not all there, in a number of ways. He at times seems to struggle against his thoughts as if they taunt him with their broken information. Often he may be seen talking to himself, though he is actually talking to his two companions, the rats Peace and War, whom only he can hear.

The Grandmother: Regret
Regret was not always Regret, once she was happy,beautiful and lived life by a differant name. That name has long since been cast away however - shunned,exiled...betrayed by someone she thought loved her Regret has renamed herself as what she is now, a creature of..regret and misery. Since joining Thanos in the hell herd, not much has changed for Regret - she's still prone to depression, fervently trying to forget her past and the so called 'good old days' when she was young and beautiful. She doesn't bother trying to fit in with the undead horses at all, she either doesn't see the point of it or doesn't care what they think. Thanos seems to like her though she doesn't understand exactly why and since he won't let her leave she resigned herself to her lot in life...and even maybe come to like the black undead stallion, though she won't admit it - she's not supposed to care about anyone or anything ever again remember? The foals were a surprise...Regret had never fathomed an undead stallion being able to sire an, but here they were, rag tag, unreasonable and as messed up as the rest of their family. she's not supposed to care - so aside from the basics she doesn't seem to go to any extra lengths for them, though now and again she'll forget that she's not supposed to care and reveal that deep down - under all her amour -she really does.

Colts Name: Icarus- From the Greek Ικαρος (Ikaros), perhaps meaning "follower". In Greek myth Icarus was the son of Daedalus, locked with his father inside the Labyrinth. They escaped from the maze using wings devised from wax but Icarus flew too close to the sun and the wax melted, plunging him to his death. *total copy paste from behindthename.com*

Colts Personality: Blood-thirsty. He tends to be short and easily set off. He is gonna be a strong fighter for his grandfather's herd. Why would he want to let him down when he is so good at what he does. (Here is my hoping) He will be like a right hand man to Reaper. Icarus, being how he is, will be very proud and in that be slightly sexist... thinking males are the top while mares are stupid...

What does the colt think about his half-sister? She is a waste of valuable space. He blames Medea for the existence of Nimue. But he also holds a grudge against her for snagging any of his father's time. He tends to be brutish to any normal looking horse, his sister included.

Colts Name: Scourge -a person (this case horse) who harasses, punishes, or causes destruction (has his left eye missing after an incident with Reaper)
Colts Personality: Bloodthirsty. After his fight with Reaper, the colt has been plotting against his eldest brother to gain the ranking of being the dominant foal. Viewed as a weakling, Scourge seeks revenge by wanting the death of Reaper and becomes a possible murderer.
What does the colt think about his half-sister? He sees of her as worthless without any decay on her. With his hatred with his family, he blames Nimue and Medea for his failures in his life.

Filly's Name: Bane - a person (in this case a horse) that causes misery or distress
Filly's Personality: Jealous but the dominant filly of Rowan. Self-centered and rude.
What does the filly think about her family situation?: Bane has always been jealous of her siblings. Though most view mares to be under stallions, Bane will always fight to get what she wants with the colts - dominance. She carries Thanos personality of caring about herself first which usually leads her to trouble with Reaper. Being Rowan's favorite daughter, she torments Nimue and insults Medea though she is sometimes cautious because of her witchcraft.

Filly's Name: BloodBath-so named by Ruin- Flower-So named by herself-
Filly's Personality: Peace-loving. Picture the woman dressed in all organic clothing with a stoned up looking face. She likes to run around spreading flowers everywhere... much to the annoyance of her grandfather. She knows just where all the special mushrooms grow... and she loves her brothers and half sister.
What does the filly think about her family situation?: She doesn't... her opinion is 'spread the love' So she is kinda disappointed that her father doesn't have more kids... She likes to pale around with Nimue...
