 Ming Yue was feeling fidgity. No matter how hard he tried, he just could not stay asleep. Sure, the sun had already risen, but the panda-fox was not used to waking with the bright ball of light. It almost hurt his eyes to see it this early.
With a grunt he decided to just give up the fight. Ming Yue slipped out of his warm bed and headed outside. He figured that if he was to be up like everyone else, he might as well be amongst everyone else. At least then he could find entertainment by coming across a friend. "Maybe I can find Layfae," he decided, his steps already becoming lighter with the prospect of such a happy meeting.

 Layfae peaked her head out of the tree hole. Sunshine! How lovely. She quickly walked out to the end of the branch. The sun felt nice on her fur. She quickly bounced into her home and down the tree that was completely finished with rooms and carvings.
Where the Tree disappears into the ground there was a door. She poked her head out and seen Ming walking around. She decided to play with him a bit. She started to follow right behind him with occasional bamboo tossing in front of his walking path.

Truth be told, Ming Yue had gotten a bit distracted on his way to his friend's house. But, then again, it was a natural instinct to run from a bee. Plus he hadn't gotten to far off track from Layfae's tree. He had just turned himself around when he spotted a small shoot of bamboo on the ground.
"Oh! Lucky~" Ming Yue said with a smile. He happily picked up the treat and started to nom on it, his hunger getting the best of him, when he noticed another one a few steps further. "Huh..." He was curious, but decided not to question it.
Ming Yue deftly picked up the next piece and tucked it into the back of his collar, planning on giving it to Layfae when he found her. As soon as he was done he saw yet another bit of bamboo. "Alright, now I'm curious." Quick as he could he looked up in the trees but saw nothing. He then glanced all around and saw a bit of a squirely tail. "Layfae, is that you?"

Layfae was laughing softly. She didn't want Ming to see her just yet. So messing him was a bit more fun, always likes keeping him on his toes. She started toss bamboo chunks ahead of him. She watched as he picked up the first one and nommed it down. She giggled and threw another.
She was hopping it would make him curious but the second one he just tucked in his collar. She giggled behind the tree. Watching him get confused was fun. She thought she was tucked behind the tree, but he must of seen her. She looked behind at her tail and it was tucked behind her gently, so was it her. She peered around the tree and threw a nut ahead of him and she must of missed cause it bounced off the tree and flew right by him. "aww nuts." She said.
She quickly climbed the treed and jumped from branch to branch. She was going to get ahead of him to scare him a bit. She jumped down and landed behind him..She waited and wait and crept closer to him. "Boo!" She said and poked him. "Finding anything interesting?" She said with a giggle.

When no one imediatly replied, Ming Yue shook his head. It was silly of him to assume that it had been her. After all, there were other creatures with tails just as fluffy. Like squirrels! The very animal that was a part of Layfae's creation. It must just have been a normal squirrel.
Ming Yue decided to continue on his way, though still curious about the bamboo, before a nut suddenly came sailing at him. Except for the quick movement of the small object, he didn't know what it was till it hit him in the cheek and bounced to the groun. "Oww," the pandafox rubbed his cheek as he stared at the ground.
He must have insulted the squirrel, Ming Yue concluded. "Sorry!" he called up into the tree. He figured it would be best if he kept moving and did just that. He hadn't taken but a few steps, though, before a figure appeared before him.
"Ah!" Ming Yue stumbled back over his paws before crumpling to the ground, his legs entangled. "Oh! Layfae~" He smiled up at his friend, happy to have finally found her. "I came across a path of bamboo... Did you drop them before?" He reached back into his collar and grabbed out the piece he had saved for her.

Layfae watched as he waited for that 'squirrel' to respond. Little did he know, it was her, only she climbed up the tree. It was either that or pretending to be an old squirrel. Her thoughts made her giggle a bit and her mouth fell wide open when the nut flew at him by accident.
Layfae giggled, "Hey there!" She said perkishly and held out her claws. "Need help up?" She giggled, "Bamboo where?...A path you say..Where?" She looks around, she didnt she a path. She was playing a bit dumb. "Nice bamboo! You may eat it though" She said with a smile.
"Want to come over to my house? I made lemonade and i have bamboo nut cookies. It's a new recipe." She smiled at him.

Ming Yue looked embarrased for a moment before grabbing on to Layfae's offered paw. "Thanks," he said his laugh joining her giggle. His eyes followed hers and he realized the path did not continue on like he had thought. "Huh, must have been a mistake."
At the mention of cookies and lemonade, Ming Yue brightened up emensly. "Oh, yes, please~ I would love to try your cookies." He easily returned her smile as he waited for her to lead the way back to her house.

Layfae giggled at him. "Mmm cookies lets go!...Oh Ming, those bamboo stalks where meant for you." She smiled back at him leading the way to her home. "See i seen you and thought i would play with you and work up an apatite. " She smiled at him as she sat in front of her house.
She thought for a moment. "Oh you haven't been in my house lately have you!?" She perked up inviting him in.

Ming Yue followed closely behind Layfae after he had tucked the bamboo back into his collar. As she explained herself, he laughed with her. "You had me going, Layfae~" He was tempted to eat the bamboo he had pressed against his neck, but the prospect of cookies was more appealing.
"No I haven't!" Ming Yue replied to Layfae's question. He was rather shocked at the realization. "Have you done any of the add-ons you talked about before?" He was curious to see what she might have been doing during the time he hadn't been in her house.

Layfae giggled, "Yes, I did, It was rather cute." She smiled at him warmly. She walked in her house with him behind her. She shut her door to the outside. "Why, yes, I have actually. Right now your standing in the greeting area and your coat drop off. If you had a coat." She looked to the right."That door leads to the underground storage of bamboo and nuts galore!" She jumped happily. " I also store other things down there too." She smiled and climbed the stairs that were craved into the wood. "This is the second floor. " She smiled. "This is the book room. Recipes and all that fun stuff is here." She smiled and climbed the other stairs that lead to the kitchen.
"Ah the kitchen please make your self at home. "She said pointing to the table. On the table was a delicate flower place in a vase filled with water.
Layfae opened her refrigerator door and grabbed the lemonade pitcher. She poured two bamboo cups filled with lemonade and ice cubes. She walked over and placed them on the table. Then she walked over to the stove and pulled out the Bamboo nut cookies. They were mixed with everything that regular cookies are made with with bamboo shavings and tiny nuts mixed in the batter. Layfae smelled them.. Oo good, they smelt good. She placed them on her wood plate and sat them gently in the middle of the table between where her and Ming were sitting. She grabbed a cookie and nibbled it. It took her a minute to think if she liked it or not. "Hmm, I think it needs more bamboo..Or Nuts...or Both..." She paused and looked at Ming, "What do you think?"

Ming Yue listened quietly as Layfae gave him the tour. He followed behind her obediently as they made their way to the second floor. Ming Yue gazed around at the various books, a little awed by the excessive amount, then wandered up to the kitchen with his host.
"Thank you," Ming Yue said while taking a seat at the table. His eyes moved around the kitchen, happily taking in the ambiance. It felt very homey and Ming Yue felt instantly comfortable. It helped that the place smelled of cookies.
Once the cookies were placed before them and Layfae had taken one for herself, Ming Yue swiped up a warm one and nearly scarfed it all down. But then he remembered he was supposed to be tasting a new recipe and slowed down his chewing. It was almost agonizingly slow until Ming Yue finally swallowed. The pandafox donned what he hoped was a serious look. "You know I'm usually one for bamboo," he said with a nod, "but I think it already tasted really good."

Layfae smiled at him, "Yeah, but I know you are not one for nuts. So that is why I would like to know if i need to change the recipe, but if it is good then i will keep it?" She looked at him while she sipped her lemonade. "Mmm Lemonade and Bamboo cookies, such a perfect combination" She smiled.
"Oh once you finish, i will have to give you the tour of the rest of the house." She smiled so happily.

Ming Yue nodded as he slowly took another one. He chucked it in his mouth and barely remembered to chew and swallow before he spoke. "These are delicious! You should definitly keep the recipe." He nearly coughed from the effort of swallowing quickly, so Ming Yue took a few sips of lemonade.
"Alright." Ming Yue took his time and ate two more cookies before finishing up his lemonade. "Mmm~" He finally returned Layfae's smile and added an embarresed laugh. "Okay, I'm ready for the rest of the tour, Layfae."

Layfae giggled, "Alright, if you say wish. I will be making ginger bamboo snaps come wintertime." She smiled at him and cleared away the table. She got up and opened the door. "This is where we first met." she smiled at him as she pointed to the branch. "Do you remember that time?" She remembered it like it was yesterday. She looked more at him. He was a really good friend.
She climbed the more stairs. "Up here is Lounging room. Where we could sip Bamboo Cappa and watch the weather and things like that. I built in a fire place and carved out a nice window." She walked up the other stairs after a few moments. "This is the guest bedroom. Well when you walk in that door it is." She smiled as she walked up more stairs. "This is the playroom for the kids. " She hoped he wouldn't hear what she just said. She hastily climbed more stairs. "This will be the nursery/kids bedroom." She still walking up the stairs to the end and opened up a door to a large spacious room. "This is my bedroom. Bamboo and Nut art all around." She walked over to double doors, "And this is my balcony. With a great view." She smiled as she looked at Ming.

Ming Yue began to already look forward to winter just at Layfae's mention at yet another recipe. He wondered for a moment if he should concern himself with getting fat, but decided that if the winter was bad he might need the extra fat. And in any case, now was not the time to be getting lost in thought.
The pandafox got up quickly so as to follow Layfae as she looked out an opened door. "Oh, yeah! You were there and I climbed up to find you." Ming Yue beamed at his friend, happily recalling that day with her. "It was a fun day."
Layfae was on the move again, and Ming Yue followed behind her. He glanced into the Lounging room, admiring the coziness of it all and giving it an approving nod, before they continued moving up. The guest bedroom looked nice as well, but they moved almost too quickly past two other doors. Ming Yue barely caught what Layfae had said before they were arriving in her room.
"You have kids?" Ming Yue asked while joining her on the balcony. His question was tinted with both excitement and confusion. Had he been a bad friend and never knew she had babies? He would love to have met them and played with them; Ming Yue had always loved kids.
