Penelope brushed the sweat from her brow as she placed the last row of books back on the shelf. It felt good to be helping her father out at the library, especially since she hadn't had as much volunteer as she had hoped. Becoming a Senshi, meeting her allies, and fighting youma had taken far more of her time than she would have liked, and she was keenly aware of how much she had let those around her (and herself) down. Very little time helping at the library, far too little time establishing the debate team she had set off to create at the beginning of the summer... failures that weighed heavily on her heart. Yes, she was doing important work, but... it still was hard, sometimes, to accept the fact of how much her life had changed.

There was no more evidence of this than when she walked out of the library to go grab a mid day snack now that her job was done. Almost as soon as she stepped outside, she felt a by now familiar energy signature--that of a Senshi. Without a moment of hesitation, she turned back around, heading for one of the bathroom stalls. She had little fear of someone overhearing her transform--sadly, she found that the library was often under patronized--and as soon as her fuku appeared she began making her way to the roof. Sailor Pasiphae didn't know what the Senshi up there might be doing, or even really which Senshi it might be, but she felt it her duty to check and see what was going on. Just in case she could be of assistance, since other than herself and the mysterious Senshi on the roof, she felt no other Senshi around that she could call on. So, whether she was the best choice or not, Sailor Pasiphae would have to do.

Sailor Kallichore had powered up during the day - something she rarely, if ever, did. She sat on her right hip smack dab in the middle of the library's roof such that no one from below could see her. It was rare to see or feel another powered individual at this time of day and therefore Kallichore took it upon herself to set up a vigil over a frequently-targeted place. She sat amongst several pieces of paper scattered all over; they were various notes, diagrams, charts and other scrawlings she seemed to be referencing by glancing at each one every few minutes. She was writing on something in her lap and had her back turned to the other senshi until she drew near.

The senshi of madness could sense her, but likewise had no idea who it was. Knee deep in research and compiling, she didn't even look up when approached and spoke over her shoulder. "Yes, can I help you?" The day was kind to them both - partly cloudy and without much a breeze, making it infinitely easier to reference all her paperwork. Kallichore was constructing a timeline for herself and others, and wondered what kind of holes were present in her research. She hated holes, and considered knowledge to be an irreplaceable way to mend these cracks.

Sailor Pasiphae hadn't known who she would find waiting for her on the roof, knowing only that it would be a Senshi like herself. She was genuinely happy when she saw the telltale white, blue, and red fuku, exlaiming immediately, "Kallichore!" She hadn't seen the Super Senshi since their last meeting on a roof, but she had never forgotten all of the information Kallichore had happily shared with her. Seeing her again was a great surprise and one that made Pasphae's day a little brighter.

The Shame Senshi's movement towards her fellow Jovian was slower than her greeting, however, since she saw a great deal of paperwork around and didn't want to scatter them. Step by careful step she manueavered towards her friend, and she couldn't help but ask, "What're you working on?"
PostPosted: Fri Jul 29, 2011 6:03 am

The exclamation of her name came as a surprise for Kallichore, who blinked and shifted to the point where she could see behind her. It was none other than Pasiphae, in broad daylight (which made her fuku look more lovely, the super senshi thought). Quickly gathering up her papers into a stack, Kallichore set her pens and pencils on top of them to give them weight. That way, Pasiphae didn't have to worry about kicking up a breeze. Standing up, she went to greet her fellow Jovian senshi. "Pasiphae! It's been a while. I hope you're well?"

The question about the papers was easy enough to answer. This particular primer had nothing to do with the BMC, so it was safe, she thought, to share the information. "I'm working on a timeline for those of us that have only been awake recently. The war's been going on much longer than I thought. Years, in fact, with several major events happening all while we were completely unaware of them." Kneeling, she scooped up part of the stack filled with scribbles and notes on various factions, such as Chibimoon and the Zodiac Court. "I thought that it would only be fair to be as in-the-know as someone else that awakened several years ago, don't you think?"

Pulling out one paper in particular, she read off some of the information as an example. "There's a Court comprised entirely of senshi representing the Western Zodiac, including Leo, Aries and Cancer. They're headed by a princess by the name of Chronos." Shaking her head, Kallichore sighed. "Not that their Court's existence changes anything, but I'd like to know who and what all we're dealing with during this war, you know?"

"I've been alright; busy fighting youma and meeting other Senshi. Polaris had this contest to see who could beat the most--I didn't really compete. I mean, fighting youma is our duty, right? But I helped out some of the others who were competing," Pasiphae explained, giving the Super Senshi a soft smile of greeting as they played catch-up. "Lately, it seems like every time I get in a fight, there's always another one brewing, so it's nice to have a break."

Pasiphae listened carefully to what Kallichore had to say, nervous hands smoothing out her skirt as she too was caught up to speed. What she heard was almost enough to sober her good mood right out of her. Years of warfare that she didn't know about... she had always known that the war had been fought before she joined but she had honestly been so busy getting used to being a Senshi that she hadn't stopped to think about just what that implication meant. Major battles, major players, that she may or may not know... so much to learn and, always it seemed, too little time to learn it. Zodiacs, for example, and another royal Senshi--Princess Chronos. She only barely knew of Prince Castor and still didn't really know what the royal ranks meant.

She chose her words carefully, trying to capture all of the thoughts that scrambled for dominance in her mind, "Yeah, we should definitely know as much as everyone else; I don't see how we can fully help them out otherwise. And I don't know anything about the Zodiacs or what their court could mean. I've never met anyone from it. I mean, I'd still help them if I did--they're basically Senshi like us, right? Not... allies of the enemy?"

The mention of Polaris' name made Kallichore's eyes light up. It was all because of the information Polaris had given to her that she was enlightened. Folding more of the papers beneath her arm, the super senshi saw how nervous and outright tired Pasiphae seemed to be. She knew how that felt and felt it in ever increasing ways. "I think we're all pretty busy on that front. There doesn't seem to be a shortage of youma or Negaverse officers to ruin the lives of people. It's sickening. I wish I knew if we were even making a dent." Kallichore sighed and shook her head, knowing that wondering would do them no good.

Once Pasiphae had commented on the Zodiacs, Kallichore nodded in agreement. "I don't know any of them either, but as far as I know, they're on our side in at least some capacity." Digging out another sheet, she examined it before putting it back into the stack she was holding. She had hardly any information gathered on the Zodiacs and relief heavily on other people's experiences. It was almost offensive that there was no primer on these subjects but Kallichore was determined to make one. It was only fair to assist and educate the new senshi being awakened every day.

"I just wish I knew more. I've learned a great deal from other people, but that only goes so far. I'll have to conduct several more interviews to flesh out this primer I'm working on... It will be for the good of all senshi to have a generalized knowledge, don't you think?" Once all the papers had been gathered, Kallichore had a sizable stack, but it still needed compiling. She'd been tirelessly researching in books and interviews with other senshi and was only just beginning to form the whole picture. "There are more factions involved in the war than I had previously thought."

Pasiphae closed her eyes slightly as Kallichore commented on the amount enemies they had encountered and continued to encounter. It did seem that nowhere in Destiny City was safe--not the mall, or the library, or even the park. Still, as exhausting as it was... the Senshi would not be called upon to patrol, to fight, unless there was a reason. Even if the enemy was growing, so too was the Senshi ranks (a newbie like Pasiphae was somewhat a testament to that) so at least people had someone to rely on. It was a kind of carrion comfort, but a comfort nevertheless, and she tried to share it with her fellow Jovian, "As long as we're working together to help people, protect them, that's the most important thing."

She reopened her eyes and moved to take a seat on the roof, smoothing down her skirt. She didn't want to draw unnecessary attention to the two of them, especially when Kallichore was doing important work. Pasiphae did believe in what the Senshi of Madness was doing even if... well, compiling so much information did seem like an insanely difficult task. "I'm sorry that I can't be of more help, but I do think haivng this resource will help out others."

Pasiphae tilted her head slightly, and confusion was evident in her voice, "More factions? I only know of three--Negaverse, Senshi, and now Zodiacs. Are there... more?" It was a slightly worrying thought, but the Shame Senshi knew, to some extent, that there was a problem with Senshi working togther. It had been hinted at by many people that she met--including Polaris and Masahiro. But surely they all had similiar goals, even if they didn't necessarily play nicely together?

"What I find disheartening is the fact that most Negaverse officers think we're aliens hellbent on enslaving the entire Earth or some such nonsense." She thought back to the battles she'd fought where an officer would actually speak to her, or explain what his or her motivations were. Zinkenite struck home when he said that the senshi were responsible for their own world's destruction, not Beryl. But that made no sense - why would senshi systematically decimate their homeworlds? And when did they get such power? Kallichore didn't think herself capable of leveling a house let alone her whole damned moon.

The senshi of madness knelt down like her Jovian counterpart and laid out the papers again. "Beryl is doing nothing but feed her people lies and poison as far as I'm concerned." The papers around her were littered with bits and pieces of information, including very basic things about the Blood Moon and Ares, as well as parallel universes, Chibimoon and Rainbow Crystals. She desperately wished to know more. "As far as I know, there are several factions, or even just smaller groups involved in the war. Chibimoon, the moon princess' daughter, is out and about, though I don't know if she has a faction backing her or not."

Kallichore blinked. Did she tell Pasiphae about Chibimoon before? "Apparently, the one called Super Sailor Chibimoon is the moon princess' daughter from a different timeline. How she came to be here, I don't know. All I know is that the Blood Moon Court isn't willing to work with her for whatever reason. She's not forceful or aggressive enough for their tastes..." Her voice trailed off and she sighed. Was this really the best idea? To join forces with them only to find the Court was falling apart faster than she'd expected?

"Not just Negaverse officers--corrupted Senshi too," Pasiphae added quietly. She hadn't had a chance to Kallichore about her run-in with Carnelian and, in truth, it was not a memory that she wanted to relive in too much detail. "At least, one of them that I had a run in with. He said we were enslaving the Earth and something about the Moon Princess but... I hadn't heard anything like that before. Apparently, if this Chibimoon is real, then the Moon Princess is too?" From a different time line too--thank god for reading fantasy and science fiction novels her whole life or her mind would be even more blown than it already was.

As mindblowing as it was, though, it was also... exciting. It meant that there was a potential leader, an organizer... someone who might know something more to help them in their struggles. But it didn't make the royalty any clearer--how was this Princess different from Prince Castor? What role did they really have? Pasiphae was curious but assumed that her companion, jumbled as her thoughts may be, would tell her if she knew. Another name, however, caught her attention immediately because she had never heard it, and she repeated it, "Blood... Moon Court? What on earth is that?"
PostPosted: Wed Aug 03, 2011 5:28 pm

Kallichore nodded absently as she was dividing and then subdividing the papers scattered around her. She needed a hole punch and a three ring binder or something. As she collected information, it needed to be categorized and further studied to be of use to anyone. As it was, her idea of a Blood Moon primer wasn't exactly a hit or a success, as the Court seemed to simply further fracture as time went on. Pasiphae's question about them made the senshi of madness still and look at her companion square in the eye. "They are..." A fractured and disintegrating group of vigilantes without the power and numbers they used to have, following a queen from another world just like Chibimoon was. she thought, and bit her tongue. "...they're a group of senshi who wish to turn the tide of war no matter the means. Gray morality at it's best, I suppose you could say. Out for blood like their name suggests."

Picking up another stack of papers, ones with little information on royalty and what it meant to be so, Kallichore sighed. She didn't like to call herself a Blood Moon senshi any longer. If anything, she was extremely disappointed. "I'm... almost sorry to say I'm part of the organization. They captured some Negaverse agents before I was awakened and tortured them for weeks, or so I hear. Like I said, I wasn't even awakened when this was happening, nor did I know about it before I joined. At the time, all I wanted to do was make a difference but... time is wearing them quite thin."

Changing the subject away from her own shame, the madness senshi picked up on Pasiphae's earlier question. "I do not know if Chibimoon being in this time would prove the Moon Princess' existence because several factors do not add up - apparently, her father, a man named Endymion, has appeared as some point but is not sympathetic to the senshi. I don't know what this means, but it makes me think that perhaps Chibimoon was not meant to exist in this timeline. How she got here from wherever she's from is anyone's guess though."

Pasiphae listened carefully to all that Kallichore had to say, used (even after only two meetings) to the way the other Jovian jumped from topic to topic. What she heard, however, was not news that inspired hope. Chibimoon was their princess... but also not quite their princess. Endymion, who should (if she took Kallichore's description correctly) be an ally... spoke out against the Senshi. And then there was this Court, this Court that was unafraid to spill blood. That bothered her most of all. Her mouse pursed into a hard line as she spoke, "Let's... forget the Moon Princss for a second, Kallichore. We've got to talk about this Blood Moon Court."

She didn't mean to make her fellow Jovian feel bad; it seemed as though she was having enough problems with the Blood Moon Court without Pasiphae's interference. However, as quiet and as mousy as the Shame Senshi could be on some topics, she could be adament about what she believed in. And she believed in the goodness, the justice, of the Senshi cause. She met Kallichore's gaze steadily and spoke quietly, "What they're doing... that's not right. Torturing people? Being willing to kill, if need be--since I assume that's part of 'no matter the means'? Those Negaverse officers... the Corrupted Senshi... they're human, like us. And maybe they can be saved."

Pasiphae licked her lipstick covered lips, some of her resolve melting slightly. Kallicore had been a Senshi before her, and she didn't feel right... well, lecturing her. That wasn't her intention. She owed a lot of what she knew about the current conflict to her frriend, and she didn't want to seem ungrateful. In fact, she looked up to Kallichore, as she did all of her teachers. Chaonis, Europa, Kallichore... all of them had helped make her into the soldier, the Senshi, that she was now. So, she reached out and placed her hand softly on the Madness Senshi's shoulder, and hoped that the softness of her voice would help to curb what could be considered a personal blow. She believed in the Senshi cause... but what that also meant was that she believed in the Senshi she had met. She believed in Kallichore. "I know... it's a war, and I know people are going to get hurt as we fight. I know that we're at risk. But... but if we willingly hurt other people... are we really any better than the Negaverse? You're better than that, Kallichore... you're better than them and what they stand for."
PostPosted: Mon Aug 08, 2011 5:30 am

Kallichore turned to match Pasiphae's steady gaze and her expression softened a bit. The hand on her shoulder and otherwise soft voice made Kallichore understand her fellow Jovian's real concern. She frowned slightly and looked away as more of an attempt to keep herself level-headed than anything else. "You have to understand, Pasiphae, that at the time, no one else was doing anything, bad or otherwise." It almost hurt to say it, like she was betraying Ares herself, but as it stood, she was rather unimpressed with the Blood Moon despite all the effort she put in. They simply weren't the powerhouse they used to be. "At the time, it seemed like the best idea, though I didn't know about the torture until after I joined. I suppose I willfully ignored it, but..."

Turning to face the senshi of shame, Kallichore's brows furrowed. "Could they really be saved, Pasiphae?" Her question came with a quiet voice. None of her research indicated such a thing were possible, but the reverse was definitely true - she'd seen her fair share of corrupted senshi. "They can so easily turn us to the darkness, but I have no idea how it's done. Do we have some kind of beacon of purity we could use to turn them back? I don't know. I wish I could know, especially if what you say is true."

Shaking her head, Kallichore picked up one of her research papers and seemed to look right through it. She was thinking, instead, of what she had done in the past few months. Was it worth it? What did she really accomplish with the Blood Moon? The answer was nothing, and Kallichore hated wasted time. "But... perhaps you have a point. I hate to go rogue since one senshi cannot do much against an entire evil organization. So what can we do? Do you have an idea, Pasiphae? I hate spinning my wheels and not getting anywhere." Kallichore's face relaxed a bit and the tension in her shoulders subsided for a moment.

"I'm not trying to make you feel bad, Kallichore; I'm sure you did what you thought was right," Pasiphae replied quickly. She gave the other girl's shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "I mean, I've only been doing this for a little while, and you've probably gone through a lot more than I have. But... if you know now, I think you need to act on the knowledge."

The Senshi of Shame nodded ferverently on the subject of purification. She may not have seen a purification happen before her eyes, but she had seen someone who had been saved--Knight Lina. And she had seen the disagreement between her and Prince Castor over whether they should even try to save others in the Negaverse. She did her best to catch her fellow Jovian up to speed, "I'm absolutely sure. I met someone who was saved... purified. I don't know exactly how, and there's some argument over whether it's possible for anyone else, but... if it's been done once, surely it can be done again? I... I think so, anyway."

Pasiphae sat back and fiddled with her gloves as she thought about Kallichore's question about the future. In truth, she didn't really have any idea about what to do. She hadn't tried to do anything in terms of organizing the Senshi, although she had always thought of them as a team. She had participated in the Youma Hunting competition, and that had led to her making more connections and solidifying her judgment that all of them needed to help one another. So, she replied, "All I can think to do... is keep helping the other Senshi, Kallichore. Maybe... we could find this daughter of the Moon Princess or talk to Prince Castor? They've got to have some kind of power and authority. But it seems like, whatever else we do... we've got to all work as a team. Fight together, share information... support each other. Maybe... maybe that's too simple a way to look at it?"
PostPosted: Fri Aug 12, 2011 5:44 am

"I don't feel bad, per se, Pasiphae." she said quietly, turning away for a moment. Guilt was not something Kallichore was used to dealing with because she was so meticulous in her research. She was usually wholly convinced that what she was doing was right. But it was at this time that things were becoming more complicated. More information was coming to light in spite of all the research Kallichore tried to do - royalty was appearing, people from other timelines were appearing and the Blood Moon was falling apart. Part of her was extremely disappointed, and a sliver wasn't surprised in the slightest. That was what made her so upset. "Perhaps... there is something to all these other Jovians appearing. Perhaps it's destiny. I don't really know."

Pasiphae's story about one Negaverser who was purified - Knight Lina - she sounded promising indeed. But why would purification only happen to one person when others were being corrupted in droves? That made no sense. "I believe I will need to speak with this Knight Lina. And perhaps you too, since purification can obviously happen. We need to find out the mechanism. If the Negaverse can snatch anyone up off the street and pump them full of Chaos, who's to say we cannot snatch up a Nega and force the Chaos out of their soul?" Kallichore was explaining all this with a very clinical tone to her voice. Perhaps Knight Lina would know the opposite force to Chaos - something Kallichore had been trying to find for some time now.

Organizing and reorganizing the papers in front of her seemed to be more of a soothing action rather than something useful, which was very out of her character. It seemed as though Kallichore was trying to calm herself down. Like she was scared. "I definitely agree with finding the daughter of the Moon Princess. I've been told that she thinks she's nothing special, but how could that possibly be? I can't imagine being ripped from my own timeline and being placed somewhere where my parents either don't exist or don't know me..." Another stack was assembled, disassembled and then subdivided into several categories for no real reason. "I do agree that we need to support each other as much as possible. We need a united front."

Pasiphae pulled her knees to her chest and stared up into the sky as she considered her next words. She had more than her own fair share of insecurities about being a Senshi, about why she of all people had been chosen... but she tried not to let these show, at the moment. Kallichore had enough on her mind at the moment without dealing with her fellow Jovian's problems. "I don't know if I believe in destiny, but... I think there's certainly some reason that we Jovians are meeting each other. Maybe we're united by our past lives, maybe we're just... supposed to be the first to support one another. Be the strong base that allows us to branch out to other Senshi. I don't know--I really don't. I won't lie about that."

The Shame Senshi turned her head to look at her companion, and again, she hated to admit that she couldn't answer any of her questions. "I scanned Knight Lina into my phone, so I could contact her and see if she would agree to meet with us. I could contact Prince Castor, also, if you wanted to meet him. You'd probably be better able to speak with them; you've got much more information than I do. But... I'll go with you, if you want me to be there. I don't know if I'd be of any help, but if you want me there... I'll be there." Her observant eye had caught sight of Kallichore shifting the papers around, seemingly at random, and since their conversation had begun with a lecture, she felt that she still needed to reassure the Madness Senshi that she was there to support her.

She twisted her thick, black hair between her fingers as Kallichore continued to speak, not intending to dismiss her observations, but not truly knowing what to add to them either. "Well... I don't know how the daughter of the Moon Princess couldn't be special, particularly if she's from another time line. But... even if she's not our final leader, she can at least know that she's not alone here, that we'll help her. I mean... I can't help but imagine that she'd be lonely."

Pasiphae stopped there for a moment, biting her lip in consideration. She wondered if Polaris would mind if she told Kallichore about the team she had invited her to join. If her friend was thinking of leaving one group... she may not want to join another quickly, anyway. She prided herself on her discretion, but the Eternal hadn't indicated that the group was supposed to be a secret... and she certainly wouldn't push her companion to join something she didn't want to. Still, Kallichore seemed to find comfort in information, and she didn't see any harm in sharing it. "Maybe, while you're out and meeting people, you could try talking to Polaris? She's pulling together Senshi to help each other with information, training, general back up... I mean, if you don't want to join the team, I don't think you need to. I think of Senshi as one, large team so... I'll help anyone that asks, including Polaris's group."
