It had turned out to be an incredibly hot day at the pound, hot and dry, and he didn't like it one bit. His ears twitched, sending droplets of water skittering across the pond he had claimed as his own, temporarily of course. After another moment of peering across the surface of the pond, he dove under the water reveling in the feel of it against the scales on his tail.

He missed the lakes, streams, and rivers sometimes. Really missed them. But here, the temptations were slim while there, well, they were a lot greater. He spun around in the water, flicking his tail to send him speeding across the pebble covered bottom. He let loose the air from his lungs through his nose sending up a slew of bubbles and surfaced with a grin.

User Image "Oh not again..." Alexis whimpered softly, treading carefully down a trail. Gazing around he found himself on an unfamiliar path. The poor boy always took the same two paths and rarely ventured off of them for the sheer fact he would end up like he is now... lost. One of his hands idly fiddled with the pink cell, pondering on calling someone in the house he lived in.

"No, no..." The boy frowned. It wouldn't do any good. That house was full of lunatics, anti-social people, and those who would help were always too busy helping others out. Alexis reminisced on the first time he called, got some strange garbled language spatted at him and has been horrified of calling again.

"...H-hello?" he called out in hopes someone, even if it was his imagination, answered.

The young kelpie let out a satisfied sigh as a breeze skittered across the pond chilling his wet skin. He debated diving again as it passed but a timid voice caught his sensitive ears. They flicked, and he hesitated a moment before swimming to the ponds edge and turning in the direction the voice had come from.
"Hello?" he called back. They probably weren't talking to him, no one talked to him, they were too afraid. But the sheer amount of uncertainty and even a little fear had tainted the words made him feel as though they might be directed toward anyone that was listening. After all, it was a potential victim... "No, not victim, friend, acquaintance..." He shook his head, some seaweed shedding from his long black locks and waited. Habit forced him to keep to the water, to bring this unlucky person to him.
