What guides the courses of our lives? Is it destiny, fate, luck? What determines who we are or where we fit in? Some Pokemon seem to belong almost naturally, falling into a niche from practically the day they are born. Their lives are laid out in front of them. But for others, all life seems to be is one long fight- a fight for identity, meaning, and relevance. For as many Pokemon as seem to have their places handed to them, still more stumble through their lives grasping at thin straws of hope, the hope that someday they will belong. Grasp hard enough, and maybe you'll find the string among the straws, the cord that leads you home. Tie it tightly to your wrist and pull as hard as you can, and you can weave your way into the fabrics until the thread ties off strong, and you find your place. And isn't that all we ever really want? Just to know where we belong? Or if we even belong at all?
Solaris head snapped up from his desk, paper sticking to the side of his face. He'd fallen asleep again. Arceus, he needed to stop doing that. There was too much to do, so much needed to be done. The plans to repair the guild hall were in order, he was merely waiting for the construction crew to arrive. The fear of attack clung to the back of his mind, it would not let him rest for second without being jolted awake as he'd done a second ago. So much had happened, so much was going to happen. What could they do? 'For starters...' a small voice began inside his head, his conscience or something else, Solaris couldn't tell. 'Accept the past and move forward. Take a breath and hold it.' The Espeon stood as though moving on autopilot then, his eyes set forward in a calm but stern expression. Inhale, let's begin...
A Letter arrives at your team room:
Join us in the Garden to honor those who have fallen in the battle to preserve our world, and to honor those who have fallen in general. Do not think this is a time for mourning or regret. This is a time to stand together and let our enemies know we have not yet fallen. A social event will be held after the ceremony, we welcome any and all to stay and relax. -Solaris, Second of the Guild of the Sun
The Espeon starred at the letter between his paws in silence before a pale blue paw landed on his shoulder. He turned, lavender eyes wide and brimmed with tears. "Aunt Minerva?"The Vaporeon gave a slight smile before nodding once and only once "It's a nice idea, Solaris. They need this." With that the Water type slipped towards the door with a graceful trot, lingering only a moment to look back, "Good job" her tail vanished around the corner leaving the Psychic to his thoughts. After a moment he too left, a sigh escaped him as he went to prepare the last touches to the event...

 Solaris
The Espeon stood calmly in the courtyard, the area had been cleared for the event and filled with chairs as well as a few tables with only some food and drink on them. After all, this was hardly a party. From where he was perched Solaris could see both entrances into the yard, he could watch each team file their way in and take their seats. A feeling akin to remorse struck him, the Pokemon here were all so young. They didn't deserve this battle, this battle should have never even begun. Refusing to allow the feeling the sink in, Solaris shook his head and raised a paw to adjust the black color around his neck. It had been Selena's, originally, as Solaris did not own a collar befitting the situation and one was suppose to wear black in time or mourning. Still, it made him think of his sister and that quickly brought on thoughts of his parents and finally his uncle and cousin. He wondered, somewhere in the back of his mind, whether or not Venus would attend so shortly after losing both her brother and her daughter. He only hoped she would arrive in a composed manner. The Espeon had told himself he wouldn't cry. He was still guildmaster of the Sun, regardless of his probation. He was still someone they would look to for guidance. Even as he thought it, even as he reminded himself this, the tears started to fall again and his fur darkened in lines down both cheeks from the dampness. His face, however, did not change from it's calm and collected expression, despite the tears, despite the thoughts. He was, far all appearances, a statue that had tear ducts and like a statue he was motionless as he waited the guild members to arrive...

  Albus & Laura
Albus walked into the courtyard, his steps measured to Laura's as the two walked side-by-side. In truth, he had no one to mourn. He wasn't close to Elizabeth and none of his teammates had died. He... didn't really have any "friends" in the normal sense, either. There was no one for him to lose. But all the same, it felt right for him to be here. He was a royal; it came with his birth. He was a little bit early, perhaps. He didn't want to have to work his way through a crowd to get to his seat. And so, he looked over at Solaris and his eyes narrowed in annoyance plain as day. The Flareon's mouth opened and a spout of water shot out and nailed Solaris in the face. "Cut that out. You're the leader. Act like one." The Espeon shouldn't cry. No one else would have cried. Not his father and not his mother. Solaris would put on a face, whether or not he wanted to.

& & & & & ) ( Red & Blue & Purple & The Raven & Jay & Vertigo )The first of team Monochrome to be seen coming in was Blue, little Vertigo with her hand locked into his as she basically clung to his arm. "Mommy, why are we here?" "We're here because we should be. And I'm not your mother" He seemed to stiffen up at the "mommy" comment. Well, he just wasn't used to being referred to as a woman. Arceus knows he didn't look like one.
As they approached their seats, Vertigo yawned. "Mommy, I feel sleepy..." she mumbled, and Blue quietly picked her up and sat down, the Scraggy in his lap as he held her as a mother would a baby. She wrapped her arms around his neck, eyes half closed as she fought off the temporary tiredness. "When are everyone else coming?" she asked. Blue held her closer to him, "They'll be here soon, Tiggs." Oh goodness, this was a bad idea. He should have left her behind, she was just a kid. Newly hatched. He had no idea what the number of people that would come be, or what they might be like, and it might just scare her, or she might get hurt or-
He felt a paw being pressed onto his back. He turned his head, a Vulpix seated right next to him, a calm smile on her face. "Don't worry too much, mommy Blue. She'll be fine" she said, half chuckling. He only gave her a glare, "I am not a mother"
She smiled, turning away from him. It was nice to be able to find a little joy in something when things around them weren't so cheery. She shifted her weight onto her good side, the side she had gotten cut on was still pretty bad. They were running out of bandages, but at least it was healing nicely.
Some time later, Purple walked in, an annoyed look on his face. Instead of the teams purple striped collar he was wearing a black tie with a single purple stripe on the bottom, neatly tied and without a crease or wrinkle. "Stupid kid wouldn't let me put his tie on..." he mumbled, getting comfortable in the chair. Sometimes, when he was sitting down, he was glad he was tailless. There were some comfortable positions that would have otherwise either broken his tail or left it uncomfortable.
A little bit after the Rattata Jay strutted in, a completely black tie loosely hanging onto his neck, almost sideways and sloppy looking. He jumped up onto a seat behind Purple, snickering as he looked down at the mouse. Purple only turned, winced at him, and then turned back around. Him and Red were both devil children. Yup, both of them.
Finally, a purple Piplup walked in, eyes closed in a little arch as they always were. He hummed to himself as he took his own seat next to Jay, behind Red. The Zorua looked at him questionably, "What are you even humming?" He asked. The Piplup turned to him, "A little something for the guys and gals who aren't here right now, man. The ones who can't come back down" with that he began to hum to himself again, very softly so only he could hear.
Red looked over at Blue, the Sneasel gently rocking the sleeping child in his arms. "What about Goop and Alaisdair?" she asked him in a low whisper, best not to wake up the little headache. "You know how those two get around crowds. Its better to save them and ourselves the trouble"
It was supposed to be something to honor the fallen. Nobody needed a panicky Oddish or unpredictable Shellos around. And so, the majority of team Monochrome began to settle down, waiting for the rest to come. They already noticed Solaris crying. All of them knew there would be tears shed. It wasn't natural for one to stay quiet when those they loved fell. Many who had been loved were dead. Others were either half dead, severely injured, or on their way. Some young, some old. There would be tears all the same.
"...its not fair" He mumbled those last few words to himself, so low he barely heard himself say it. He didn't even know he had said it. It had been, like many things, an impulse. :: :: ✗ Basilisk :: Ren :: Jonah ✗They came in so quietly, they wouldn't be surprised if no one had noticed them. The three took their seats in the back, Basilisk quickly getting into his and Ren floating gently over hers. Jonah eyed it curiously, "How do you use these? Do you perch on this back thing here sticking out?" Basilisk groaned, "Ren" "I got it"
A pinkish glow outlined him as the bird was lifted and then dropped onto the chair in a sitting position. "You zit in it. Vutt on ze vottom and vack on ze ozer part" she instructed, a low "oooh" coming out of Jonahs beak. What a useful invention, chairs! He'd never even heard of such a thing!

.::Stark & Rem & Luna & Geisha & Drift & Will & Mako & Siegfried::.Stark led his team into the Garden. In truth, they hadn't lost anyone close to them- it was out of respect for those who had, therefore, that Team Blacksteppe had decided to attend this event. Luna walked hesitantly next to her father, her mood obviously colored by the grim atmosphere. Stark sighed- Luna had been different since her evolution; almost as though her mind had been altered, accelerated, by it. He sighed again as he pondered this. It's almost like I've been robbed of something- of experiencing those moments. Regardless, the group proceeded into the garden and took their seats. Rem floated down and landed with a sigh of relief. He still hadn't completely recovered from his injuries, it seemed. But he's alive, silly. Enjoy that. Stark, for once, didn't react to Boros' intrusion. He had been different lately, as well- yes, he was still the same maniac, but... it was like he did it with a purpose, now. Like when Stark had almost killed that Metagross... "...Mr. Dravin?"Stark looked up at Geisha's address. "Hm?" Geisha's look was one of concern. "You look sick. Is something wrong?""I wouldn't worry," grumbled Will. "He's always moping about one thing or another.""Shhhh," cautioned Sieg. "Those bickerings can wait until another time. This is a time to respect our fallen comrades. Master Dravin is likely simply pondering that fact- as we all must." And with that, he closed his eyes and bowed his head, as though the conversation had been ended there. Mako looked up nervously at Stark, but otherwise gave no other sign of his concern. Stark looked over at Rem, perched tenderly in his seat, praying under his breath in Spanish. We almost lost him. We almost lost a lot of people...
...Is any of this worth it in the end? Can we really survive all of this chaos?A short laugh echoed in Stark's head. That depends on if you can take it, Whitey. Stark rolled his eyes, but otherwise didn't respond. He just needed to be alone with his own thoughts for the time being.

Epitaph -- Ver -- Freya -- Alice -- Saileithe -– RufusSai and Ver entered the courtyard side by side in silence. Behind them came Freya as usual, but with a Pikachu by her side. He joined just recently, but requested to come regardless for, like many before him, just came for the sake of respect. None of them spoke and none rushed about. Ver merely looked up as Sai nudged his side and his lone eye met Epitaph and Alice at a nearby table. They smiled at him as they always did, but the expression was off. It felt fake almost, forced. Epitaph had a pain filled edge to hers, and Alice just seemed uncomfortable. Ver sped up into a trot to meet the two females as he propped himself up onto a seat across from the two. Sai sat next to Epitaph respectively with Alice at the Flareon’s opposite side when the team caught up while Rufus and Freya sat at Ver’s sides. They exchanged glances quickly, awkwardly as Sai’s attention instead fell on Solaris. “He looks awful.” Epitaph’s ears twitched. She looked over at Solaris, knowing who her daughter referred to but she just smiled and glanced down at her daughter as her attention returned to the table. “He’ll be okay. He just has to get through this.” Sai frowned. Solaris hardly fazed her until that encounter with the relic carrying Froslass. Where she’d so casually insult or feel disgusted with the Espeon she instead just felt bad. Epitaph seemed so collected though. Sai turned her attention back to her mother. She was just looking down at the table with that weak, exhausted smile, probably lost in her own thoughts. She never worried for herself; her worries were always for those around her but there was some sort of strange faith she had in the Espeon. Sai didn’t really understand it. She didn’t want to try to.

~Aidan & Nadia ~Kyle
Per request of a formal invitation that almost seemed as if it were specifically designed for the trials their team was facing; Aidan, Nadia, and Kyle of team Kusa arrived at the outdoor gathering in acceptable time amongst the other guests. After the last attack on the guilds the mentioned twins arrived back at their living quarters, rather beaten up themselves, to find themselves in the face of some rather troubling news. As earlier word they had received alluded to, their home was entirely unoccupied, the lot of their former teammates having been visiting the Kingdom Hospital in the moments of its own demise. Their whole upbringing taken from them without warning. The somber thought still stabbed at the two of them, Nadia more so. All that remained were themselves, Kyle, whom was evacuated as a patient during the attack on the hospital and managed to come out of it all unscathed, and that peculiar Luxio which had a tenancy to do things on his own accord and remain aloof from his team, explaining his absence from the gathering in this moment. Looking around the trio couldn't help but feel out of place; none of them actually dressing for the occasion as the pretenses of the gala were a little vague to them. Some guests appeared to be enjoying themselves as any party should include, others however were either indifferent to it all or giving off vibes of somberness which the two Riolu specifically were attune to picking up on. Kyle was even stricken down from his commonly chipper disposition ever so slightly through recent events and potentially the fact that his normally fluffed out tail was heavily bandaged into a peculiar looking cone shape. The two males accompanying her not particularly looking for anyone in specific to interact with, Nadia was left with the initiative in mind to seek out the team that had aided her recently when her brother was injured and more formally thank them and as per the premises of this gathering give gratitude to those who had fallen in the long run for the sake of her guild.

Era & Eon Out of all the usual members of Team MistMelody who normally would have attended an event such as this, the only representatives today were two Pikachu, who made their way in quietly with the rest of the crowd, neither drawing any attention to themselves. They were the only two who came because they were the only two fit to do so. The others on their Team were either being nursed back to health, doing the nursing themselves, or were too young to attend such an event, and although many regrets were made by all, Era and Eon ended up alone with no one but each other for comfort. True, MistMelody had not suffered any losses itself, but they all wanted to pay their respects to those who had been lost. In a sense, the two Pikachu who were the representation of their Team were the best suited for the situation; aside from all obvious likenesses they both possessed tender hearts that were empathetic to all that was going on and all the suffering that was felt around the Guild. Era felt the sadness as keenly as if it were a physical thing, cutting into her like the blade of a knife, and Eon, although he was still relatively new to the Guild, felt the same sadness that was so evident to Era, and shared in it as well.
Era stood on the left and Eon the right in the back of the area, the pair looking about at the scene with pained expressions. The female Pikachu's wings were tucked back, their usual glow dulled by the lack of spirit in Era's heart. She wore no adornment, the occasion unsuitable for anything like that, but she held a small object in her paws that she hadn't shown to anyone. The male Pikachu was similarly equipped with an item in his paws but nothing else on his person, this having been done at Era's request. The pair exchanged a silent glance and made their way forward to where the chairs were, sitting down together near the front and looking forward at Solaris. He had been crying, there was no question about it, but neither one felt any bit of scorn that their Guildmaster had teared up as such. It was right to cry when they were gathered for such an event as this; mourning went hand in hand with tears. When Albus shot the water at Solaris both of them turned their eyes on the Flareon, and whether it was their place or not they spoke together, "It takes a strong Pokemon to hide his emotions, it takes a stronger one to show them." Whether Albus heard them or not, both of them looked at him a moment longer before turning back toward Solaris. Era felt a pang of terrible sadness as she thought of everything that had happened, and everything that was still to come, and her paws trembled slightly as she held them in her lap. In less than a moment Eon's paw held her own, a reassuring look on his face. She made a half-hearted attempt at a smile and they waited, together, for what was to come. Tris Tris arrived silently toward the back of the group, and remained toward the back as the others poured in. The Ditto was the sole representative from his Team of two, as his partner couldn't be bothered with such trifles as this. He'd tried for a long time to persuade Maestro otherwise, but the Zorua had refused to listen, insisting that he could care less about such a ceremony as this. So, tired and defeated, Tris had made his way, alone, to the memorial ceremony. He'd taken on the form of a Whismur this time, which reflected his state of worry and uncertainty. He wanted more than anything to help the Guild, but his partner refused almost constantly. Well Tris had decided that he wasn't going to listen anymore. If Maestro wanted to skulk in the Team Room and do nothing, that was fine by him, he would just have to go without the stubborn Zorua. Taking a seat, the Ditto waited for the ceremony to begin, silently paying his own respects to those who they were there to pay their respects to.

xx xx xxx xx x xx Andrew && Rani && Thomas && Judas && Isanna && ArdenxxxxxThe group of six shuffled in quickly, yet very quietly, with only a nidorina holding her head up high even with the weak limps in her step. At such at loss they suffered, they thought it only right if each of them attended; They left all their garments at home and wore no black, such an unpleasant and dreadful color couldn't be worn at an event where one had to stay strong. They found their own table, Arden stuck to the ground and Andrew hovered persistently. "Well, this is nice." Thomas piped up, trying to keep the majority of his teammates from brooding. He started to poor a small glass of water and sip it carefully, not wanting to take it in too fast. The pupitar let out a sigh and glanced the other way. They had only just got here and one of them had already begun to cry, there was such an eerie silence aside from those kept inside the teams. He didn't want to be here. He didn't like it. He had come because he felt like he had too, to pay his respects along with the rest of the grieving guild, though he was almost certain that was the wrong reason. Still, it was better then sitting at home and doing nothing. Rani stole some water from her tepig friend while the remaining three members huddled together at the end of the table, waiting for something to happen.

Solaris---Tempest Solaris sputtered, paws flailing at the water that suddenly struck him and he cast Albus a glare that was somewhat dampened by his sopping wet face. His fur tended to darken when wet as well as stick to him so the Flareon got a very soggy, angry expression. It was only after a moment that the Espeon realize why he'd done it and raising a paw to his face he shook his head to send small droplets of water flying everywhere. "Behave yourself..." He commented lightly, restraining a small smile. Honestly, he wasn't going to allow himself to relax for this, but at the very least he'd stay composed. His eyes went to the gathered members, landing on the two Pikachu who spoke in a very twin-esque manner. For a second he thought of his sister again, but it passed and instead he gave the two a brief nod before lifting his head to address the guilds. "We have candles on the table in the back, light one for your friends and family who have fallen or just light as many as you like regardless. This is not just a time of mourning, but a time to embrace eachother. We are from different guilds but we all fight for the same 'cause. Together we'll stand against this and next time...next time we will launch the first attack..." With a dip of his head the Espeon stepped from the stage to make his way to Epitaph. Without a word of greeting he sat next to the Flareon and tilted his head down to rest on top of hers. "Touching..." A voice commented from behind the Psychic and a pale, yellow Pikachu stepped out from the archway of the courtyard's entrance. The right side of her face was plastered in bandages, her right ear missing entirely. She walked at a hobble, metal splints on her forepaws and her tail dragged the ground behind her with no effort made to lift it. "T-Tempest! What are-" "Shut up. I needed the air." Blinking rapidly, the near blind Pikachu tried to pinpoint the Pokemon in the crowd she was looking for. Without her glasses the world was a blurry mess. It was gross. She wanted them back. Shouldering past the Espeon she padded her way to a distinct golden mosaic ahead of her. It had wings, or maybe that was some kind of glowing tumor, hell if Tempest knew but she was going to find out. Wincing with each step the older Pikachu approached her younger counterpart from beyond before pushing back to her hindlegs and raising a paw to tap on her shoulder. "Era..."

Harumi - VictorLittle footsteps trotted across the grass near the entrance of the Garden, slightly irregular in pattern. This was because the small Pokemon, Harumi the Eevee, was being pushed along by the flat end of a scythed arm and couldn't get her bearing right.
"Victor, stop pushing meeee! I'll walk on my own now, I swear!" The young female whined, fighting back against that flat arm. Victor let out a sigh, shaking his head as he ushered the Eevee along.
"No, because I know you're just going to run again," the Scyther replied disdainfully. "I know you don't want to be here, but you're going to come and show your respects. Several of your family are being honored here..." The Eevee growled a bit and pouted, glancing to the lit candles. She didn't feel she needed to be here, she didn't know any of the Pokemon who were dead. Besides, she had training to do if she wanted to become the Pokemon his father wasn't brave enough to be!
"Whatever... Just don't ask me to like, say a prayer or nuthin'..." the whiny little Eevee replied. The tall Scyther smiled a bit, patting Harumi on the head with the flat end of the Scythe he wasn't using to push her.
"There you go, Miss Eclipse. It's not all bad. Besides, this is an excellent opportunity for you to meet some new Pokemon, and maybe even get to know your family." Harumi turned her head a bit, glaring up at Victor.
"I told you to quit calling me tha-!" She began to yell rather loudly, until Victor muffled her voice with a flat arm. The Eevee struggled as she attempted to pull away.
"Hush! We're supposed to be honoring the dead, not trying to uproot them with the loudness of our voices..." The Scyther muttered into her ear rather sternly. Poor guy was assigned to be a bodyguard, but it seemed he was turning out to be more of a babysitter. This Pokemon was a young budding adolescent, why the hell was she acting so childish?!
Flailing around and struggling to breaking free, Harumi began to kick her legs. Catching Victor right in the knee, the Scyther buckled back a bit, allowing Harumi her chance to escape. But she didn't just move away, the highly annoyed little Eevee ran. She didn't plan on stopping until she was completely out of sight, or until something caught her interest. She did take after her father, after all, in the sense that her attention span was as long as-Oh, a Butterfree. The Eevee stopped for a moment, watching the Pokemon float by and giggling. As soon as it was almost out of sight, she remembered she was supposed to be avoiding Victor. The Eevee spun around to start running again, only to make face-to-wood contact with the leg of a chair. Flopping onto her rump and whining like a child, Harumi glared up at the occupant of the chair, a large white and blue Flareon known as Epitaph. Harumi put on her "tough guy" face, glaring at both Epitaph and her Espeon companion.
"Hey, you better watch where you're sittin'! I'm royalty, here!" the Eevee snapped at them rather rudely. In all reality, she was biting her tongue to keep herself from whining in pain. Her nose definitely hurt after hitting that chair. Not far away, Victor let out a depressed groan and smacked his forehead with the flat end of his scythe, watching Harumi make a fool of herself.
"Please Solaris, go easy on her..." He muttered, standing there. Normally he'd move in, apologize, and escort the screaming Eevee to another area. However, it was time she learned her own lessons. After all, she was beginning to enter that coming of age period in life. Y'can't learn everything just by having it told to you up front.

& & & & & ) ( Red & Blue & Purple & The Raven & Jay & Vertigo )The Zorua's ears perked up at the mention of candles. "FIRE!" he nearly shouted, jumping off of his chair. Purple was quick to spring into action, getting off of his chair and jumping onto the dark types back. He hit a spot on the Zorua's neck, the foxes legs shaking before he fell down. Yup, there goes all the feeling in his body. "You Pyromaniac, like heck I'm letting you near the candles. You're behaving like a kid, no, worse than a kid. Vertigo is a hatchling, and she's acting better than you are!"
"...screw you, old man" he mumbled in a soft voice. He stayed down, unable to get up now that he...well, lost feeling in his body!
Red rolled her eyes, "Classic Jay" she said, and he only shot her a glare. All the commotion around her, Vertigo woke up, staring up at Blue. She tugged on his fur, "Mommy, I wanna light one." not your mother, not your mother..."Alright Tiggs, you can light one"
He put her down on the ground, holding her hand as they walked over to the back and looked at the candles. Vertigo looked at all of them before pointing to one of the shortest one, a bit lumpier and not as nice looking compared to the others. "That one!" Blue looked at her, puzzled. "Why that one?" "I'll tell you later!"
He sighed, lighting it with a weak Ember. Tiggs kept staring at it, blinking before speaking again. "That ones for Grandpa!" she said. Blue looked down at her, "Grandpa?" "Yeah, Grandpa! I mean, I always see pictures of Grandma around, but I never seen any of Grandpa...so I thought that meant..."
Blue looked at her, almost as if trying to hold back a tear or two. "Y-yeah, Grandpa...hey, Tiggs, you mind giving me a moment? Go and hang out with Red" he said. She smiled and nodded as she began to walk off, and he caught her arm before she could leave. "You remember what I told you about her, right?" he asked, and she tilted her head. "Red is not a good role model and I shouldn't ever try to be like her?"
He laughed, "Smart girl. Now go" she clapped her hands, walking off towards Red. She was always so much fun~
Blue turned towards the candle. Lit...for his dad..."You better be alive. And if you are, you'd better have one heck of a reason for making me think that..." he swallowed, turning away. "Shut up"
With that, he felt a bit more relieved, walking over to the rest of the team with a half smile. No, it was fine, Vertigo didn't mean it like that...
Happy thoughts. This wasn't a funeral. It was supposed to bring them all closer together.
...
Vertigo was going to be the death of him. :: :: ✗ Basilisk :: Ren :: Jonah ✗Silently, a Snivy stood up, lit a candle, and quickly sat back down to where he couldn't be seen. Ren looked at him, "Vy, Mizter Znake, I never took you vor ze zentimental type. Zo, voo vas it vor?" she asked, and he only stared forward blankly. "You know who..." he mumbled.
She went silent. Yes, she knew who. Jonah was silent as well, but only because he didn't know who. He didn't know a lot of things.
The Archen began fiddling with his hand - wings. Well, this was...awkward. Maybe he should try doing that thing Basilisk didn't do, what was the word...socialize?

ImitiqwertOliverqwertyChuckImiti came back with a single long white candlestick and holder, placing it on the table. Now to address the now obvious other concern. "Right. Now how're we going to get it lit?"foomThe bottom half of the candle was now brightly lit. The top half was gone. There was a puddle where the holder hadn't managed to contain the melted wax. "There's a Fire-type on the team. Figure it out yourself." Chuck was now tossing his smoke ball up and down in his hand, smiling faintly to himself. "Chuck, if you're actually using that here I'm going to--""Don't worry, I won't.""Darn right you won't."
