I just got called down cause i made banshees they weren't fast or nothing. Like 2 Banshees at 10 minutes with cloak?
I got called a scrub and cheesy and what not. I did make him lose his placement but lets face it he hadn't won like for a long time anyways.
That aside just curious what do you think?

Banshees at 10 minutes is not cheese at all. Cheese is usually an all-in strategy in the first couple of minutes

I'm not sure when the Double 'Port Bancheese comes out but that sounds like what your strat was. But whether it was cheese or not isn't really important. Just play. Your opponent was just butthurt that he lost.

A cheese is really just any super-all-in play, usually early in the game rather than later. Though, if you pushed out with a 200/200 army and pulled all your workers to attack with it, it'd be a cheese. (Or, if you were smart, bank ~2000minerals and kill all your workers with AOE, then max out your army with units.) There is no follow-up at all to your attack, it's either win or lose at that point because you're sacking your entire economy in the attack.
Banshee play is usually gimmicky and risky, though. If your opponent scouts it, you've wasted a lot of money if you lose those banshees when you harass, and open yourself to a potential counter (and loss) if you haven't been careful to compensate for the smaller army with defensive structures.

Your opponent was just butthurt that he lost.No double port just waited for 2 banshees on a single port then harassed with them, then left him with 3 SCV's before he killed my then 3 banshees. Yeah he was pretty much just a sour puss, and yeah no worries its wierd cause some people say cheesy and some people say its just a strat :b when i say some people i mean 2. Just wanted to hear more opinions :3

any race should easily be able to counter/fightoff banshee's by 10 min. as protoss i easily coulda had multiple stalkers and an obs by that time, not cheese at all. you played a succesful stategy and he was a sore loser who got buttmad.

Yeah Banshee opening is very riskay but it works on Bronzers :b but yeah if it fails its very hard to defend.

cheese is defined as an unusual strategy that can usually be stopped with proper scouting. cannon rushing is one such example of cheese. not all cheeses are all-ins, though, such as quickly expanding to a gold base. it is an unorthodox strategy but it relies on the opponents inability to properly scout it, hence economic cheese.
Banshee is not cheese because it is not unorthodox. while it relies on secrecy, it is a build order that is commonplace and should be prepared for in each game regardless or not it is scouted.
