Shhhhk
The steady noise could be heard coming from the Reaper Dorm smithy as one recently advanced Grim Reaper sharpened her weapons in solitude. It served as a well equipped, quiet place for the delicate care of any Reaper's weapon; and while the fire burning was kept going for anyone who wished to forge, it also provided welcoming warmth and lighting to the otherwise dark and dim area.
Colette stood with her back to the entrance, the edge of one sword resting against a bench with its hilt in one hand and a diamond rod in the other. Carefully, she angled and drew the diamond rod from the tip of the blade to the base as her other, already sharpened, sword watched from its place on the rack next to her.

What a peaceful, quiet forge. There was no bothersome noise, save for the pounding of swords (which to any reaper was probably pretty relaxing, right?). Colette was all by her lonesome, all was good in the world.
Cue Danny.
She had been playing catch with a random bruteball player when he had sent the ball flying through the window of the smithy. The bruteball landed with a thud in the stable. It sat there for a few moments, silently, as if to say "where am I?"
After about 10 seconds, a ghoul came flying through the same window, landing precisely on the ball. The peace and quiet the forge had once held was now gone, replaced with crashes and bumps.
CRKSHHH. Swords went flying everywhere, and hammers were knocked off benches. Danny stumbled and ended up landing in the very fire Colette was forging in. Of course, that didn't bother her at all- it just felt like sitting on a warm seat. It was cozy actually. Not being able to see she said, "Errr ... hi there ..." She wiped her eyes and batted at the air to clear it of the dust and ash that had flown everywhere.
When the dust cleared, the first thing she saw was long, black hair. Pretty black hair? COLETTE. COLETTEEEEEE.
"Oh! Pretty hair Colette it's you! Phew. Don't tell anyone kay?" she said, referring to the obvious mess she had just made.

dfjlkjlkjallasjdlajflkdjbjkldg was the original thought that fumbled through Colette's mind as the ball came crashing through the window. After that momentary what-the-Jack sensation breaking her peaceful, precise, and otherwise accident-free afternoon; Colette didn't hesitate to grab her swords and whip around as Danny followed the ball.
Attending the academy for a year did things, man. You see things you didn't even know existed. Terrible things that often try to hurt you, and that's when you develop the habit of being up-in-arms over anything; not that something flying through a closed window was normal. Luckily it was just Danny and not a ninja or cloaked figure; although, she didn't exactly reply with a cheery hi.
"What.. what the Jack did you just do?!" Colette hopelessly looked at the mess and set her own weapons aside to pick up and set one of the many scattered hammers back in its place. Among that, there was glass, swords, and other little tools littering the floor to worry about.
Don't tell anyone? DON'T TELL ANYONE? "Look at this mess!" The Reaper quickly became agitated with the situation. She was just supposed to do a quick sharpening and go -- she had places to be! "Who's going to clean this up? And what are you even doing over here? This is the REAPER dorms -- you should be behind wherever your dorms are!" If it weren't for her bangs, Danny would be able to see Colette's eyebrows nearly furrowing off her head.

"Look at this mess!"
Danny did promptly that. She looked at the mess. And looked at it. And stared at it. She didn't get it. What was she supposed to be looking for again? Oh right, just looking. She kept staring. After about 30 seconds, she said, "Colette, I don't get it. Why are we looking at the mess?"
It seemed Colette had other problems though. What an uptight ghoul. "Wait wait wait, too many questions at once." Her demeanor was oddly similar to a certain sloth demon that Colette knew quite well.
"Okay umm. Well we're going to clean it up together," she began listing, putting a finger up for every question answered (the finger thing was a trick taught to her by Rosalie. It worked remarkably well with Danny), "I'm in here catching the bruteball, but I sorta missed, and I can't play bruteball with a reaper if they're at the reaper dorms and I'm at the demon dorms! That does make sense!" Gosh Colette could be stupid sometimes.
Danny stood up from her little seat in the fire, and began dusting herself off. "So whatcha doin'?" she asked in that obnoxious little sister way. Danny began picking up little tools and piling them in her arms like firewood.

Slowly, Colette came to the realization that this ghoul wouldn't be taking it seriously. She was nowhere near as worked up as the Reaper herself. Of course someone who wasn't a Reaper just wouldn't get it. And just forget the Reaper she was supposedly playing with, that student was probably already gone. No doubt she'd need to watch her too. Leaving her alone to clean up the Reaper's smithy? No way. Sighing, Colette massage the bridge of her nose and tried to calm down.
"Okay. I was trying to do stuff. Reaper stuff." She didn't even bother to try and explain it, "So I could leave; but now I have to waste time cleaning." Getting up, Colette grabbed a broom from the corner and began sweeping the broken glass into a pile. "Cleaning your mess."
Calming down, sure. But giving amnesty? Not as easy.

Danny just stared at Colette and then a small, sisterly smile crossed her face. Danny was about to play the most annoying game known to any Halloweener.
"What kind of reaper stuff?"
Yeah. Really.
As she spoke, Danny began cleaning her mess. Of course, cleaning for her was most just kicking things off to the side where they couldn't be seen and picking up embers and throwing them back into the fireplace. Tools got chucked into random spots on the work benches. Needless to say, her "cleaning" wasn't very clean.
Colette's proposition didn't seem very smart to Danny. "Why waste time cleaning then? Isn't it bad to waste time?" she asked. It just made sense not to do something that wasn't worth it, right?

Colette looked at the wall and tried to resist rolling her eyes. "Weapon stuff," she answered. "I guess I can just do it when I get home..." So much for having perfectly primped weapons when she returned to her family.
The newly swept up pile of glass found its way into a pan, and then into the trash where it belonged. While Colette placed the broom back in its place, she took in what Danny just said. It was sensible but kind of dumb at the same time. Regardless, Colette was desperate to stay on schedule. "Alright, fine," she looked at Danny, her partner in this heinous crime, "we can leave it for Breck." She supposed that's what groundskeepers were for.
"And I'll be leaving for the dorm to pack my suitcase," she announced as if saying it undoubtedly confirmed her next task of the day. Colette's weapons dissipated from their place on the table, but she didn't turn to leave just yet. The Reaper stayed right were she was and continued to look at Danny. She still wasn't going to leave the ghoul alone in the smithy.
