Kainda and Dark Tide A Change of Heart? Dark x Deception Kainda wades in the river drinking quietly while keeping cool and away from others. Team Edward Cullenation Tide bounces up behind Kainda ans pokes her with his nose expecting a swipe. Dark x Deception Kainda jumps a little spinning around to meet her intruder only to see the green eyes of Dark Tide. Sighs a little glaring at him almost, and yet glad to see him. Dark x Deception Kainda noticed his expression which just made her all the more agitated. "What? Do I have two heads or something?" She scoffed roughly brushing past him to head from the water, tail flicking to dry off causing some droplets to fly. Team Edward Cullenation No! he called and raced in after her. He got splashed with droplets from her tail and hurried around to her side. You have one head and it is most lovely. How have you been? Dark x Deception Kainda simply looked him over relaxing a little. "I guess you're not so bad yourself..." Her tail flicked gently as she slowed. "I've been fine...and yo-" The mare stopped only when his attention seemed to go to another did she become tense, and took off again in a tempered, stomping trot. Team Edward Cullenation I was only seeing who was knew I promise I didn't mean anything by it!Tide rushed off after Kainda splashing through the water with out another glance to the new mare (lucky for him) kainda had become his new obbsession. Dark x Deception Kainda gave a loud snort. Why was she letting this male affect her in such a way? He was only interested in pretty and tail. She was neither of these. The female glared toward him. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." She'd be damned if she fell for that trick again. Team Edward Cullenation Tide sighs and waits by her side. You know if that were a guy and you went over to say Hi I would wince but probably not explode in a fit of jealously. Sorry for disturbing you princess. Tide bowed and slunk away. Dark x Deception Kainda tried to ignore him and the tugging of his voice on her heart strings. He had the same green eyes as Rakai. He was strong and full of promise much like she searched for. But her ideals..her promise to the greater good...
As he walked away she closed her eyes tightly shaking her head, her nostrils flaring and body shaking. Rolling her eyes she turned to catch up to him only to stand in front of Dark Tide and wrap her neck around his. "You better be worth it." Her eyes were shut tight as she felt something within her swell. A strange feeling... Team Edward Cullenation Dark Tide stood stunned. The fiery, lovely mare stood wrapped around him. He new that they would squabble and vehemently at that but... She was so strong so pure and her past was so dark that she deserved to be angry. He closed his eyes and curled his neck around hers. She was so special. He never ever wanted her to hurt. And if that meant leaving his brother's herd well Tide didn't make the laws... his heart did.
"I know you are worth it Kainda." He had never quite felt this way before, he was beyond lust or want, was this what Ion felt with Opal? What was this? Dark x Deception Kainda shut her eyes tightly trying to fight back tears. She was still arguing with herself and her mind, yet her heart was telling her this wasn't so bad...he wasn't so bad. But she was bad. She was cruel. She didn't believe in what he did...
But could she learn?
What the eff kind of thinking was that? Changing her whole ideals? She sighed pushing down her thoughts for now and simply enjoying his company. His scent enveloped her and she felt his strength as he breathed. "Oh I know.." Kainda was slowly starting to warm back up. "Come, I want to show you something." She pulled away and began trotting toward the forest where they first met. Team Edward Cullenation Obligingly Tide trotted after Kainda. Slowly he recognized that they were heading to their sparring field. He wondered what there was to see there, he was excited to find out. What secret was she keeping, he did like surprises. Dark x Deception The mare slipped through the forest careful of the brush and fallen trees and limbs. Her ears flicked feeling her mane and tail wave gently behind her. Slowly, they came to the clearing where they first met. Kainda trotted up to a tree standing on her hind hooves. Steadying herself, she poked her head into the hole of the tree carefully. Kainda then dropped down holding two flowers in her hand. One was the yellow lily while the other was a dark green lily. "You don't know HOW long it took me to find this." The mare spoke through teeth trotting toward him. Team Edward Cullenation Tide's mouth fell open a little. He had heard of a green lily before, never mind saw one. It was beautiful in a green and living sort of way a beauty that one could never explain to someone who had never seen a flower before.
Kainda where did you find that? It's beautiful! he grinned at her. She had kept his lily! He was excited and delighted and she had also found something that he had never seen before. Dark x Deception Her nostrils flared as she gave him a look, her bangs falling in front of her face a little. "Like I said, Dark Tide, it took a long time. And it was near a pond...with fish..." Her tail flicked a little as she offered it to him carefully. "Did you want to go there?" Kainda stretched her frame a little, her tail flicking against her legs and rump. It was starting to get dark, and she clearly didn't remember the way to the pond without light. Team Edward Cullenation Really? That sounds like my pond? Was it across a rather large field from the lake? he asked as he took her gift. I would very much like to go there but I was hoping that I would get to show it to you. However it is getting dark so perhaps tomorrow? He nudged her cheek with his face. "Can I take you up on that offer of a snuggle? Do you know a suitable resting place nearby?" He smiled at her. She could have found him perhaps no greater give than a impossibly rare green lily. It meant much to him. Dark x Deception "Something like that." Her ears flicked as she gently murred. Her dark red eyes scanned the clearing. She was caught off guard by his nudge and the fact that he wanted to "snuggle". Who the eff used the word "snuggle?" Kainda looked toward Dark Tide very carefully. He had the mind of a child sometimes. She'd have to remedy that sooner or later. Her head tilted toward the clearing. "I mostly sleep here but I think there could be somewhere else in the forest." Her nostrils flared a little taking in the night air. "So what's so special about your pond? What do the fish look like?" Team Edward Cullenation Well there are quite a few fish in there and they are rather large but harmless. the hav lovely long flowing fins and come in a variety of colors. Sensing her disdain at his earlier comment. Kainda when I said "snuggle" I meant "Share the night and keep each other warm" he had to remember who he was talking to before he started blurting out girly words again. I thought I saw a nice place with thick moss that would work. he offered. Would you like to go there?Dark x Deception "I do remember the fish. They were...strange. Never saw anything like them. Why are they your fish?" She looked at him with a questioning glance. At his explanation of his vocabulary, she gave a rough snort. "Dark Tide, you don't need to explain yourself unless asked. And I know what you meant." The mare nipped his ear a little in affection and in lesson. "Moss is nice. And warm. I will follow." Kainda nodded forward still clutching her own flower within her maw. Team Edward Cullenation Tide led the way with his green Lily held gently in his teeth. Well technically they are not my fish nor is it my pond but that is the place where I spend most of my time you see. Well when I am not scouting that is. Tide moved slowly under the trees occasionally the branches stroked his back and he moved to prevent them from slapping Kainda in the face. It was always easier to be the first one through the trees not the last. He held his neck curled while he traveled through the dense brush to prevent his lily from becoming damaged. Slowly but surely he made headway and soon the forest floor became cushioned with moss and small flower stalks. They soon arrived at a hidden vale where the moss grew thick and lush its light green color glowing in the near dark. Here we are Kainda Dark x Deception Kainda listened carefully following behind him just as quietly. She used her horn to guide the branches and such from her face through she was grateful for Dark Tide's help. "Not scouting huh? Someone shirking their duties?" The mare teased gently nipping Tide's side as she caught up to him about midway. Surprisingly, she kept a firm grip on the orange lily as if she was afraid of letting it go. Soon she noticed the area growing slightly thick and the air about them a little warmer. Her hooves felt strange, like she was walking on clouds. The moss' beauty was slightly enchanting and the night came to a steady crawl. "Do you come here often?" Kainda asked coming forward to stand beside him, her red eyes searching his green ones. His bangs sometime hid his face which annoyed her a little, but she could at least see one of his eyes at any given time. That made her happy. He made her happy..
Tide stared at her with one warm green eye. "No I don't come here very often I found it one night when I was scouting the woods and I kinda remembered where is was in the back of my mind for a while." He leaned over to nuzzle her nose a little. "Its sort of enchanting isn't it?" he asked his eyes glowing with the wonder of it. Reflected in his retina was an image of his Kainda and moss that nearly matched the color of his eyes. It was an odd moment and he shook himself a little before proceeding to walk about and prod the moss, testing for thickness, flexibility and overall comfort. This was a special night for him and he wanted Kainda to be comfortable here. He finally settled on a thick patch of well grown moss under the hanging tendrils of a sedate and ancient willow. A tree that had no doubt seen many azrein who had chose this vale. Dark x Deception Kainda watched him slowly as he began to prod and test the moss. In all honestly she would have just collapsed on the ground, curled up, and would soon start to snore she was so tired. And yet, she was trying to be...what was the word? Considerate? She was trying to be considerate of his...affections for her well being it seemed. It made her feel somewhat...special. Kainda blinked a few times trying to clear her head as she listened. "So you scout for who? I mean really, who owns all this land? Even the King doesn't." The mare couldn't help but snort her distaste as if the bile was rising to her mouth. Yet she kept a firm hold on the flower and its scent soon calmed her dark heart. At his question, she stared into his eyes and seemed to find a reflection of herself. But she was looking at the bigger picture - at Dark Tide. In this faint moss light and the gentle music of the nature around them it seemed...right. "Yeah...it is..." Kainda nickered in response, her tail flicking idly. She carefully came to the spot where Dark Tide had settled himself and before lying down to rest, placed her lily close by. She then settled herself next to him, curving her body to conform to his frame. "See? Isn't this better than a stinky brother?" The mare teased gently nipping his ear before settled her head against the moss bed to rest. Her breathing slowed as the warmth of the nest and his body were starting to take a toll. "Tell me something...before I pass out..." Her ear flicked as she moved her head a tad to look up at him. "I suppose I'll be meeting your family soon?" Team Edward Cullenation
I scout for my brother and our herd. I havent scouted for the king yet only Ion has. I have never met the King. Tide placed his Lily beside Kainda's and gazed at her. This is infinitely better than a stinky brother. Tide said emphatically. And he meant it, Ion had stunk to high heaven that day. Yes I expect you shall, if you want to of course, I don't want to force you into anything. They are really not to bad once you get to know them. He yawned and relaxed, soothed by her warmth and the light and beautiful mare smell that surrounded her and blended with the green moss scents of the glade. He curled his neck around hers and lay his head down, giving her a warm surface to lean into.Dark x Deception Kainda listened as the crickets' songs began to slow down, becoming softer. "Neither have I. And I don't plan to for as long as I can." Her ears twitched and flicked, a slow chuckle escaped her lips. Yeah, she was a lot better than a stinky brother, but could that be said in the long run? Again, the thought was pushed from her mind as she snuggled her form closer to his. "I'll met them. Don't worry about it." Kainda was starting to fall asleep, her neck resting against his, head positioned so that her horn wouldn't poke his eye out. Her quiet snoring could be heard soon enough, the mare slipping deeper and deeper into sleep. Team Edward Cullenation Tide lay silent for a while and then he felt sleep tug at him as well. His mind started to drift but he never forgot who lay beside him. He was thankful that she had tilted her horn away so he could curl very close to her without being poked. The moss soon radiated their body heat back at them and Tide succumbed to sleep. Dark x Deception The mare flicked her ears, consciousness tugging at her mind. She twitched her body idly, moving and slightly stretching her legs. She hadn't slept that long in a while, but then again half the time she was too paranoid to sleep. That was just how she was for the most part. But as the gentle streams of sunlight hit her face, she couldn't help but stir. It was when she realized that she couldn't move her neck due to a heavy weight did she start waking up. Kainda felt a warm body beside her linked to the weight on her neck. She couldn't help but mentally roll her eyes realizing what had happened. The big oaf keeping her warm was, in fact, Dark Tide. Kainda gave a gentle snort trying to snake her way from his iron clad neck while not bothering him. Team Edward Cullenation Dark Tide cracked an eyelid, still groggy and smiled at Kainda's attempts to get him off, gently. He slowly raised his head and yawned. He was content to lie their for a little while with her. It had been a pleasant evening and his dark coat was absorbing the sun in a pleasant manner. He sniffed the air carefully, no danger and no other azreins near. Tide nibbled on a stray strand of grass. Dark x Deception Kainda flicked her tail gently feeling him awake. The mare tried to look toward him by bending her neck back. When she couldn't, she turned her head over to the other way only to bump her nose into his cheek. She whickered gently in laughter nudging his snout. "Morning Tide." Kainda greeted in a whisper trying to wake up. She was still a little sleepy, but his warmth made her feel good. "Did you sleep well?" Team Edward Cullenation
"Yes actually I did." he said as her nudge jolted him into functioning wakefulness. He nudged her back gently with the soft spot on his nose. It was nice to wake up with her and not Ion's loud snoring. The moss cushioned them quite nicely. And there was no cold breeze off the lake in the early morning. He liked it here. It was pleasant.Dark x Deception The mare stretched and yawned, her ears flicking forward. She wanted to lay here all day really. The area was nice and peaceful, and the moss was wonderfully soft. But nothing would get accomplished if they did nothing but lay down all day. "I suppose we should head back soon...to see your brother?" Kainda flicked her head trying to move her forelock from her face as her eyes studied him. Team Edward Cullenation Dark Tide was reluctant to get up. He didn't want to jostle the lovely creature who rested beside him. "Yes I suppose we should," mused Tide. "Enthallion will love to meet a new mare. He is a foal that the herd adopted when we found him stuck in the lake mud" Tide said. Her yawning made him yawn again in return. He nudged the two lilies where they lay. Perhaps Ion would know how to preserve them. Tide didn't want either to wilt on them. Dark x Deception "Foals. Cute." The mare had mixed feelings on children. They were either strong or they weren't. Plain and simple. If he spoke of the one that got stuck in the mud, he probably wasn't that bright. She doubt a foal like that would be able to have survived her childhood. Her nostrils flared as she looked toward the flowers. "Well maybe we can find someone who knows...what about keeping them in the pool with your fish?" Kainda arched her eyebrow at the idea reaching her neck forward to nibble on some grass in front of her. "You did say we would visit them. And if it's the same place, that is where I found your flower." Kainda nudged his cheek again before moving her frame to stand. The mare made sure to stretch her leg muscles as well as her neck and as much of her torso as she could. She began to walk around him as if to stretch, careful not to step on him or the two lilies.

Zedkiel D. & Dark Onyxa "Under My Charge"

Zedkiel shook off sleep as he scrambled out of the cave trying to escape the other foals he had been put in charge of. Those mortals were stupid in the head for sure....yet growing faster then him which pissed him off. He charged strait past the bondaries of the herd he was the prince after all he did as he pleased!
The Duke
Onyxa was busy stomping harp toads outside the herds boundaries. The toads were not hurt by the practice and made the most amusing sounds. She had finally snuck away from all three sisters and various cousins. No small feat when your herd was overun with foals.

Zedkiel perked his ears to and odd sound and followed it. His red eyes peered through the grass at the foal jumping on toads. Now whatever was the point of that? They made an interesting sound he reasoned but his eyes of play was rough fighting really. "What are you doing?" He blurted out pushing through the grasses and approaching the mortal foal.
The Duke
"Composing can't you tell?" Onyxa looked up to see a good looking colt who most importantly was not an nnoying sibling. "These are harp toads, they are good for individual amusement." she said. "For when ones siblings are finally not hogging them all."

Zedkiel's red eyes seemd to think over what she said. "Interesting....why?" The fanged colt asked wandering closer to her. "Don't get me started about siblings." Zed snorts with distasted.
The Duke
"Because I never get to make them create the sounds I want, and there was no one to wrestle with." She snorted at the sibling comment. "Tell me about it. 3 sisters is way too many." She hopped on another toad for emphasis.

"I have two blood brother then a mortal brother and a mortal sister. They're all idiots." Zedkiel hisses while looking the filly over. Vira had already fed Zedkiel for the day, but he could hear the filly's heart beat and it was driving him nuts.
The Duke
"I agree somedays I can't believe the stuff that comes out of their mouths. Especially my cousin Adonis."

"Are you the one in charge of them like I am of my siblings?" Zedkiel asked with a tilt of his head.
The Duke
"Depends on the day and what mood I am in." She confessed. "They are so troublesome and some days I can't be bothered to scold the lot." She rolled her eyes for emphasis. She liked this colt he was different for sure but so like her in some ways.

Zedkiel clicked his fangs like his father does moving closer before circling around the filly for a moment. "To bad you're a mortal, cause we seem to have some things in common..." Zed said flicking his hair that looked blood stained but wasnt really
The Duke
"What do you mean mortal? I'm not very old in any case." She released the toad she had been standing on and studied the male. She cocked her head at the fang clicking. "What are you? If I may ask?"

"Mortal...means you will die, but I will not." Zed curtly nods. He stands proud and strong for the question of what he is. "What am I? What AM I? Why I am a vampire! The most powerful race in the world! Fffff of course."
The Duke
"That sounds majestic. My name is Dark Onyxa of Equi'Amiticia, daughter of Prism and Dark Hellfyre." Onyxa introduced herself. She noted the others proud posture and puffed up a but herself at her own lineage.

"Im the prince I can invite who I like." Zedkiel purred like his father normally did. "I can get you out to my herd now. We sleep during the day and walk the night. They would never find you less you wanted them too."
The Duke
"You know I think I will go with you. Your a prince? really?" Her eyes lit up. What fantastic adventure this would be. The filly walked up and rubbed her head against his neck. "I am honored, thank you."

"You will? And yes I am the heir to my father's throne." Zedkiel said striking a powerful pose well atleast as powerful as he could manage as a foal. When she rubbed agaisnt him he laughed a bit and playfully/gently tugged at her mane. "You are very welcome. Its nice to be around someone who respects me properly unlike my ungreatful step siblings." Zedkiel said with a curt nod.
The Duke
"Exactly, now my cousins won't be able to bug me. And its not like I can't visit my family. Eventually, when they are less annoying, I would like to leave them a note before we go though."

"Of course, but we have to make sure they don't see you cause they will try and stop us." Zedkiel said with a nod.
The Duke
"Of course. Most of the adults will be on patrol and who knows where the foals are. They wont think much about me coming and going though."

"Should I stay here and wait. If you run into someone I don't want to call attention to you." Zedkiel said thinking she would be noticed id she was with some strange colt.
The Duke
"Yes actually that would be helpful. I won't be long." Dark Onyxa disapeared into the brush. She walked into her herdlands and left a note by the great tree, explaining that she was safe and willingly going away for a while. She slinked out of camp just as her father was walking in from a patrol. She hid in a patch of grass until she was certain he wouldn't see her.
She returned to Zed with a smug look on her face. "There, now we can go."

Zedkiel watched her go a evil little smirk on his lips. Once he got her to the herd lands she would be a lost little lamb. A perfect blood slave for the herd on winter nights when it was to cold to hunt. He wondered if she would back out last minute or get caught by her parents, but to his surprise there she was trotting back to him. How delightful this was. "Wonderful!" Zedkiel exclaimed starting the walk towards his home. "To the forrest!"

Onyxa gave him a winning smile. He was certianly a charming colt. Of course her male cousins were anything but. So she didn't have all that much to go on. She was excited to go to a different herd, and she was independant enough not to become totally homesick. Besides, she would return one day to visit.
"How far is the forest from here Zedkiel?" she queried as they trotted along one of the well beaten paths leading from her herd lands. It wasn't one used by her father and uncles often so she was sure that they would not run into someone there.

Zedkiel caught himself smiling at the filly. She was so much nicer then anyone he knew, though most of his sibling were mean to him because he was named prince. He clicked his fangs as he trotted a long.
"A bit of a walk Im afraid, but we will make it well before sun rise....we have too!" Zedkiel seemed very serious about that point. He could not be out during the sunlight hours it would kil him.

"Why? You don't like the sun? I'll admit it can hurt my eyes once in a while but is that a reason to avoid it all together?"

"Uh..well with such power that a vampire holds we have weakness...I've been told we can die in the sun somehow. Dad isn't sure its true but he knows it burned the last time he tried it. Thats why our herd sleeps during the day."

"Talk about your severe sunburns," Onyxa mused. "What about overcast days?" If she was to become a vampire herself she might as well know what she could about them.

"You dont like explode right away.....He tried to stay for awhile. He said is burned a little at first and then it started to feel like he was on fire after a minute so he ran for shelter. So I could just step out of the cave and if it burns at all just turn around. " Zedkiel said with a nod before trotting on some more up a path he had followed here.

"Yes my father is the leader and King of the herd. My other father is a wanderer. But my father has taken a queen now. Her name is Vira she was once a mortal but he made her into a vampire recently." Zed said with excitement.

"That is fascinating! My father's are together but not lifemated. It's great that your Dad found a mate. Both of my fathers kind of want to wander a bit themselves."

"My father isn't lifemated to Vira though, just mated....its weird..." Zedkiel said flicking his tail he sniffs the air and starts to nudge the filly towards some longer grasses and he stops. "Shhhh be very quite...." Zedkiel said his red eyes peering in the darkness. There was a strange sound before this odd looking plant seemed to be crawling along the ground. "Come on....its just a snare....they can't hear so well...if they do hear....." Zedkiel said eyeing it before trotting again careful to stay in the grass.

"If they do hear...what?" Onyxa asked as she followed the colt closely. She hd never seen a snare before, mostly there were harp toads around her home and they were rather pathetic in the danger category.

"I dont knor much about snares. But they are a moving and hunting plant that eat Azrein..I've only seen one, once before this. But dont worry they never travel far from the edges of the islant so they wont be in the forest." Zedkiel said with a nod of his head.

"Good, I wouldn't want one to sneak into the cave. You might be immortal but if it ate me I would be a snack." She really didn't like that idea, but who would?

"Our sleeping cove is deep within the cave. It would have to pass all the adults, plus father's quaters in order for it to get to us. So you can rest safe knowing nothing will happen to us in that respect." Zekiel said with a smile some what excited to show her the cave. "Its a glorious cave you know. Dad collected glowing crytsals so mortals can see with in its darkest layers."
The Duke
"Really? One of my sisters is called Crystal. I can't wait to see this cave. What colors are the crytals?"
"Will I have my own room?"

"Some are blue others are pinkish purple." Zedkiel nodded. "For now you will sleep with all the foals like me and my sibblings. Later its a if you find a little area and claim it as yours its yours other wise there are lots of large sleeping areas for us to all share but you can stake a certain spot out for yours."

"I wouldn't mind sleeping by you, at least I know you." She said. "Purple is my favorite color you know. Anything has got to be better then Uncle Tide's snoring."

Zedkiel smiled a bit thinking about having some to buffer between his annoying siblings. "No one snores in the herd so far, but I saw dad kick once...I think thats why he sleeps alone...though I'm wondering if that might change now that Vira is a vampire and not mortal."

"Well it is harder to break her now isn't it? She will probably cuff him right back if he kicks her."

Zedkiel laughs. "Yes I suppose so." They had been traveling for awhile now and the forrest line was in view. "There the forrest! Not to long now, which is a good thing." Zedkiel could see a change in the color of the sky meaning dawn was coming.

"Oh good, I was just starting to get tired." Onyxa grinned and pounced on a grasshopper. "Take that bug, no coming near MY prince."

"The same for me..." Zedkiel said watching her pounce the grasshopper. "Ah a mighty warrior I have found for my herd." Zedkiel said with a laugh completly forgetting all thoughts he had of her being a blood bag for everyone by this point.

"Ah yes I am the all powerful grasshopper hunter here me ROAR." She pounced another one for good measure. Onyxa hadn't been this happy for a long long time.
Zedkiel was just easy to be around.

Onyxa began nosing the ground too. And sure enough the little varmit hopped out from under Zed's nose. "ATTACK!" she yelled.

"We are?" It was a beautiful place. Although it was quite dark in the cave and she bumped into Zed. "Oh sorry, my eyes havent adjusted yet."

"We can wait here a moment till they do, over hold on to my tail and I will lead you to were the crystals start. We didn't want to hang them at the entrance in fear of calling attention to the hidden cave." Zedkiel said sounding some what releaved that they were in the dark now.

"Okay," Onyxa said. She gently grabbed his tail that looked like the tip had been dipped in blood. She wrinkled her nose as the suzz touched her tongue but she held on and followed him.

Zedkiel continued till the darkness gave way to low let caverns. The was having crystals spakling about them. There were a few Azrein inside but seemed to be bunking down for bed already. Two females with vampire like fangs lay on one side but you could practically see through them. Zedkiel continued through ignoring them all. Once he passed through the main rooms it started to get dark again. He stopped infront a path that lead down into a very very dark pit. ".....Dad!" Zedkiel called out and their was a stirring from below. Red eyes showed first followed by a very large strong looking vampire stallion with long blood stained fangs. "Yes Zedkiel?" Jacques said his eyes drifting from his son to the mortal filly. "Um dad this is Onyxa I brought her to join the herd....I want her in my charge." Jacques eyed his son abit remembering his suggestion but putting her in his charge meant something different. "Are you sure?" Jacques said clicking his fangs. "Yes I am...." Zedkiel said with a nod. "Alright then." Jacques said snorting before heading back into the pit. "Welcome to the herd Onyxa, get to bed both of you." He grumbled slightly wondering what his son was up to.

Onyxa's eyes lit up as she saw the crystals. They were truly magnificent and mystical and about a hundred other "m" words. She glanced at the females too, they were quite...different. Hmm would she go all blurry and see through when she was bitten. Would she turn white? Ick white what an inferioir shade. Zedkiel didn't give her much time to oogle as they passed the other azrein. Onyxa's eyes widened as she saw the red orbs in the dark. It was Zed's father so she should be too frightened but her heart did pick up a little bit. No doubt the being before her could hear it.
Well that hadn't been that bad. She kept a firm hold on Zed's tail though.

Zedkiel smiled at her before taking her deeper into the darkness. It gave into like once more and the sleeping bodies of four foals could be seen. It would have been darker but one of the mortal foals has a mane of flames that gave the room a warm glow to it. "Welcome to hour room." Zedkiel whispered.

"It's lovely." she smiled in the darkness. "Who is the flaming one?" she asked quietly. The sight intriuged her a bit. "Is she a vampire too?"

"No matter how they act in the morning remember you

She smiled into the darkness as he settled down beside her, he was truly her friend. She had made the right choice to go with him. "And what does being in your charge mean Zed?"

"Also means I teach you our ways." Zedkiel shook a little at her touch. He liked it but it felt weird too. "No I am always cold. Just like I have no heart beat."

"Really? she laid her head against his chest and indeed could hear no heartbeat. "How odd." she said, thoroughly confounded. "How does that work? What keeps you alive?"

"Honestly I don't know....but we drink blood instead of eating things....maybe that has something to so with it?" Zedkiel said with a blink.

"Hmmm." she yawned. "I think you are right." She couldn't keep her eyes open anymore. It must have been the near total dakness in here. She lay her hed on Zed's back. "Good night Zedkiel my prince."
"Good night my pretty filly." Zedkiel replied to her laying his head down looking forwards to rubbing this in his cusions face in the morning.

Edward had just finished a dance on the floor with a lithe blonde. He was panting a bit and wondering at how he had gotten invited to this party in the country to begin with. He knew Vincent sort of and was getting closer to him. But an invite to one of these spectacular country festivals was worth more to him then the gold it had taken to put on.
He loved festivals, all the dancing, feasting, shopping and entertainment made him extatic.
(finally mastered the dumb shift thing)

She was beautiful, poised and didn't seem to take s**t from anyone

Al gave a sly grin and stepped out of their house and over to the stable that housed Serenity most nights, as well as now the new mare.
