(note: this is a fairly lax group RP, posting order is pretty open, just try not to leave anybody in the dust. It's assumed that everyone Iosef brought with him is here for this meeting, whether or not you get a post in, so you can refer back to anything that happens here as canon for your charries. Other YMCA wolves are welcome to join also) It had taken longer than Iosef liked to make his way to his father. Arriving had been...a fiasco. He had not intended to linger so long at the threshhold...and then between Chimera trying to start fights, and Romir making a fool of himself...and the alpha arriving...altogether, he was in a very bad mood by the time he finally made it to his destination. The sun was high and orange in the sky and he could tell that unless they turned around and left right now, there was no way they'd get home at a reasonable hour.
It was looking more and more likely that they'd have to take Balios up on his offer to stay. It didn't help that after Balios dropped them off, he had cheerfully started off for the dens without another word, simply assuming they would spend the night. Curses.
Iosef braced himself as he stepped up to his father. He took a deep breath, as though preparing to do battle. "Hello, Adonai. I...thought you should get a chance to meet the rest of your grandchildren, as our last meeting..." he trailed off. No need to say what the last meeting had or hadn't been. Adonai really wished someone had given him a little forewarning that this bombshell was going to be dropped on him tonight. He was in no mood for this. Still troubled over Tiyana's sudden disappearance, and more than a little nettled by Thrush's recent jabs, and now here was....a whole mess of family drama.
Still, it wasn't their fault that things in his life were so confusing. He had to remind himself of that. And it was really rather a sweet gesture for his son to seek him out. Adonai had certainly never expected that, given how badly their last interaction had gone.
"Oh. Well." He looked over them, curiously. Had his visit been so long ago? They were all so BIG. He recognized Chimera among them, but he was the only one; the patchy female was not among them, which didn't surprise him honestly. "So they let you out to play for awhile, did they?" He asked, in an attempt to sound light-hearted, but it came out rather cold.
He closed his eyes, trying to find his center, and tried again. "Sorry if I'm a bit off-color -- nobody warned me I'd be getting visitors. I'm Adonai. You've all heard about me, I guess?"

Still adrift on the memory of a sweet voice murmuring in response to his own enthusiastic approach, it took a moment for Romir to collect himself long enough to regard his grandfather. He didn't mean to be impolite, but how could he be expected to pay attention to a dottering relative who couldn't manage a polite face when he'd just had THE encounter?
Romir could scent his father's worry, and even in the midst of his own rosy daydreams- wouldn't she make lovely pups? So beautiful... And they'd be eloquent and strong, too!- he pressed an affectionate nose to Iosef's jaw before hauling his mind to the present. Even then, the glaze of his delightful daydreams remained in his violet eyes as he plopped to the grass and sniffed at Adonai curiously.
He... really couldn't see much of Iosef in this wolf. Perhaps it was the attitude that erased any physical resemblance. There was... a little somethin- Ah. They were both worried about something. It was in how they carried their ears, not their heads. Iosef's head remained lowered out of habitual deference. Adonai's was uplifted, but their ears had the same quirk, making it easy to guess that his grandfather was worried about something. Whatever could it be?
"Hello, Grandfather. Thank you for coming out to see us."He could be extremely diplomatic... provided no female was around to distract him.
