The village of Geluk like the other villages of the valley is designed to defend against demons. The villages are all small with 100 or fewer members composed of close-knit families. These villages usually have a force of 10 or 20 warriors train to eliminate the demonic threat. The rest of the village is tasked with supplying the warriors and their own families with vital goods.

The village of Geluk however is not a normal village. They have nearly a hundred members and one of the biggest defense forces of any of the villages. the reason for this being their close proximity to the well nestled in the mountain pass near-by. Imprisoned long ago deep within this well is one of the most powerful demons known to man and who taints the water with his power. Any who drink this water gain some of his power, and some are tainted by his evil. The man who imprisoned this demon thousands of years ago has guarded the well for many centuries drinking from it daily immune to the demonic presence deep inside. This story which was once a well known truth has passed from history to legend, and from legend to myth.

These villages are primitive asian villages with primitive technologies (non-modern.) They farm/hunt to feed and cloth themselves. They have no access to electricity. The buildings of the villages are comprised of many different styles of building from smal straw huts to larger wooden structures. Every building is made by the family member that lives there.
