Carnelian took in a deep breath and sighed happily. He would be even happier had his lover, Euclase, been there with him, but he understood that her job and schooling needed her more than the Negaverse right now. Still, he felt cold inside from the lack of someone to hold close to him. Leaning back on a soft and curving rock formation, the corrupted senshi used it like a lounge chair. His velvet coat brushed the floor, as did his long red hair. How his hair became longer when he powered up was something Carnelian still wasn't sure about, but he didn't mind it. It was always braided anyway. Flicking it off his shoulders, the corrupted senshi closed his eyes.
He could hear the faint sounds of whispering all around him, and equated it to the youma somewhere in the Rift. Where the Rift was from his location, he wasn't sure. He had to be escorted down there during the meeting all the corrupted senshi had, but during his time there, he focused on Euclase instead. He wasn't at all interested in the myriad of youma that would love nothing more than to tear him limb from limb. A hand idly rested on the exposed area of his chest where his starseed sat. Its glow was dulled considerably and the hole in his chest made him self-conscious. But down here in the Negaverse, that hole in your chest was just decoration. Everyone knew he was a corrupted senshi and therefore didn't trust him.
Oh well, their loss. he would say to himself, and he said to himself again. It wasn't a time to worry, it was a time to relax. Laying back and getting comfortable, Carnelian closed his eyes.

The world outside was lovely, but at times it seemed so so big. So much effort could be wasted in trying to meet new people and make new aquaintances. As such it hadn't taken Dahlia long to decide her luck would be a little better back in the sanctity of their safehome. Imagine her surprise when she felt a familiar pulse of energy just moments after setting foot into the dark hallways.
A senshi?
It was what she had been searching for since she'd first began exploring the area. What had frusteratingly illuded her for over a week now.
Tiny white paws padded quietly across the floors, following after the energy signature as if she were a bloodhound and Carnelian was a bloody steak. When she finally spotted him, corrupted senshi, so much like her old charges and yet so different too, she could not contain her excitement. Her tail was held high above her back, expression intentive as she took in everything she could.
"Carnealian" The name had popped into her head and then out of her mouth in a soft singsong. His powers would be there too if she tried to think about it hard enough. But for now that hardly mattered. Her motives were not on business today!

The last thing he'd expected was for someone to call his name. He could have sworn he was alone when he was whisked away by a Captain. Sitting up, Carnelian's eyes wandered from point to point around him to try and locate the voice. When no one of human height could be seen, the young man raised a brow. He couldn't have heard the sound come from below him, could he? Looking down, he found that a rather lovely white cat was speaking to him. That was right, cats could speak if they were imbued with magic, or something like that. He'd overheard such a thing in passing, but never had experienced it before this. She was female, judging by the voice.
"Ah, and what brings you to my neck of the woods, young miss?" he purred, trying to keep his psychotic love of animals in check. She was so pretty! And looked to soft! She was practically demanding snuggles right then and there, but Carnelian had to have manners first. These kitties could talk, after all, and probably didn't like being shouted at by morons shrieking, "YOU'RE A KITTY!" That simply would not do, especially to a young feline lady such as this one. Such a lovely tail and adornments! Thank goodness the Negaverse got their share of fluffy furballs. Carnelian would have been so disappointed otherwise.

She would have actually been pretty thrilled with his enthusiasim today, as really.. she was pretty excited and enthusiastic herself!! Her ears twitched a little as she drew within arms reach, her tail swaying invitingly in the air above her back. "I've been looking for you actually."
"Or your kind at least."
"To toss a kitty into the dark and keep her away from her senshi for so long. So cruel." She pouted playfully, her ears dipping momentarily. Woe was her. Poor little princess having to work SO hard.
Those ears popped immediately back up however, far too excited to pretend to be sad. A senshi, a senshi! Her dual colored eyes were watching him with delight, stark against her white fur. "Now that I've found you though you're alllll mine"
"Dahlia, at your service" She struck a pose for a moment, chest and shoulders puffed forward playfully.

Carnelian placed a hand on his chest in mock surprise. "Looking for me? If you're looking for the rest of us, you just missed a rather large meeting. But if you're looking for me, you've come to the right place." Being called someone's senshi made him almost swell with pride. He was, of course, Euclase's any and everything, but in all capacities, not just senshi. He didn't know much about the cat's place in the Negaverse, but he rather liked her already. Quite a lot. Manners, elegance, sheer adorability. If he hadn't known any better, Carnelian thought himself smitten with a cat.
"It's a great pleasure to meet you, Miss Dahlia." he said, sitting up just to bow is head to her. She obviously already knew his name. While he couldn't provide her with much in the way of information on the other corrupted senshi, Carnelian would have been more than happy to keep her company in the meantime. Laying back down languidly, he sighed and flicked his braid off his shoulder again. It touched the ground softly and he wondered if all Negaverse agents had to deal with it too.
Crossing his arms behind his head, Carnelian laughed. "I'd be happy to be all yours, darling." A wink and a smile sealed the deal. Suddenly he was quite happy his coat naturally exposed his chest - prime kitty laying space. Most excellent.

She JUST missed a meeting of all of them? Well that was depressing. But not depressing enough to dull her good mood right now. Especially with the way Carnelian spoke. She could help but laugh just a little as he played with her words, teasing softly in return. "I am contented with just you for now. So it must be my lucky day."
Only.. he made no move to pet her, instead lounging back comfortably, arms tucked under his head. Her whiskers and nose twitched a little in soft dissapointment before she began to forcibly climb him. She was light enough to not cause much discomfort, her claws tucked carefully and safely away. She paused when she'd finally reached his stomach. If he just went to sleep right after she'd just found him.. well that was no good!
She'd just have to keep his attention. "My very first senshi. So new and exciting. It just makes a girl's heart flutter." The motion of her swaying tail could be felt all the way through her feet, her face leaning in close to that bit of exposed chest. The power that seeped from his chest hole was interesting, very different from the other senshi. But she was only half paying attention to it, cold moist nose touching his exposed skin lightly to try and illict a response. Oopsie.

Carnelian never once revealed that he was ticklish, but now he couldn't help it. Euclase knew all the right spots but now Dahlia was discovering one or two of them by accident. Tiny paws pricked sensitive skin and the young man yelped, trying to squirm out from under her unintentional assault. But he couldn't live with himself if he bucked the poor cat off! Instead he was confirmed to chewing his lip to keep from laughing, but it was incredibly obvious. The cold nose just made things worse.
"Th-that isn't... isn't f-f-fair!" he stammered, laughter erupting after her tiny, tiny evil cold nose touched his skin. Admist his giggling, Carnelian raised a hand and started to stroke her lovingly. Maybe that would put a stop to the evil tickle interrogation. A few scratches behind the ears and around the shoulders, long strokes down the back and tail. She was so soft and so incredibly devious. Dahlia almost reminded Carnelian of his girlfriend. "I can see why you're here and not on the other side, Miss Dahlia. Your talents would be wasted over there, I assure you."
Plus she was too damned pretty to be on the side with the terrorists and their slavery agenda. How disgusting. If only more of them could be convinced to come to their senses. Then this senseless war would stop and the Negaverse could rest assured knowing the world was saved from servitude to some alien queen. The thought was sickening. "We're very lucky to have you, I think." More scratching behind the ears, just to see if she would purr or not.

She could feel his chest vibrate just a little as he twitched and tried his best not to laugh, a kitty grin crossing her maw so wide that tiny white teeth glimmered momentarily in the eeiry light. Her nose withdrew when he finally began to stammer and laugh, looking pretty pleased with herself.
She wouldn't mention that she had been on that other team, for probably a year in fact, and Laurelite had only recently enlightened her. It wasn't so important now that her loyalties lied here. "I would assume by now you knew that people don't always fight fair" She teased, however at the same time letting herself slowly settle down onto his chest. Now that he WAS petting her... Her tail twitched happily, her paw pads beginning to twitch a little as she fought the urge to begin kneading him just yet.
The purr he was looking for sounded when she'd finally settled in, a soft rattle escaping her as his hand ran down his back. "I think you are very lucky too" She mused happily amid her purrs. Who wouldn't be happy to have HER on their team.

His giggling finally subsided, Carnelian sighed to calm himself down, stroking Dahlia's soft coat gently. "Oh yes, I'm well aware people don't fight fair. On the night of my awakening, a senshi nearly molested this girl in front of a restaurant where we were dining. Euclase and I, that is. How disgusting is that? I can't believe them." He scoffed, sending a rush of air through his lips in a sneer. "And they call themselves the champions of justice. They think they can get away with anything."
Green eyes turned to look at mismatched ones and he smiled. "But you're here to help us. With you on our side, how could we lose?" In truth, he had no idea what function a cat on either side of the conflict did. He'd never seen one in action and hadn't met one face to face until now. He'd only heard stories, but couldn't believe every one of them without some kind of experience himself. Enter Miss Dahlia, solver of all Negaverse problems.
His hands focused on the areas of the crown of her head, the backs of her ears and the long stretch of her body. It was odd to be petting an animal that could talk, but then again, it was odd to have a hole in your chest and forehead, and to be able to hitch rides with teleporting people to a space even they didn't know the location of. Carnelian figured it was all relative. "Miss Dahlia, can you tell me what our place is here in the Negaverse? So many of the officers seem to be... afraid of me and mine."

She listened curiously to the account of his first meeting, of his awakening before filing the information away. She'd been more of the impression that senshi were simply weak.. slowly toiling away at their task of trying to take over. And trying to thwart the efforts of the negaverse to protect their home. To hear what they were capable of was a good piece of information. Perhaps in the future she'd have to see if she couldn't hunt out some senshi.. perhaps follow them around and see what kind of stuff they were up to.
His soft compliments and pleasant face drew forth another soft purr, teasing him playfully. "My my, you really know how to touch and talk to a lady hmmm Carnelian?" Her paws had begun to gently knead in her contentment, claws held thankfully back however. "Charmer"
A serious question sounded though, and she took a moment to think about it, closing her eyes softly. What was their place? It was an interesting question. The negaverse had been taught to fear the senshi.. to hate them. And technically the ones that had joined could be considered traitors.. something that might have worried a mind or two as well.. the thought that they might turn again as traitors against the negaverse.
But they weren't really traitors. Simply enlightened, stripped of the brainwashing of their moon princess. She could hardly answer the question with any certainty, so instead she went with comfort. "If they choose to see you simply for what you are as opposed to who you are then they don't deserve anything different from you. We are all allies in this war to protect our planet, it's unfortunate that sometimes it's the job of the minority to be the better persons and try to bridge the gap."
"Senshi are some of the best weapons against other senshi. Some are perfect for attacking others for bolstering our forces in other ways. We are an important addition to actually turn the tides of war and bring the Negaverse to victory."
"If any of them bother you too badly though let me know. I'll give them a few words. And perhaps a few claws." One might question whether the tiny cat could do anything, especially as she looked.. anything but intimidating stretched out across his chest. But if you asked her, she'd atleast insist she could.
