my brother is a drug addict, and he by decptive means mislead me into thinking somthing wasnt stolen. (scrap metal he was gonna scrap for probation) a long weekend later, id rather not discuss. my brother is a cunning sciopath, lets put it that way. .i figured they might be so i did the right thing and went to the owner to see if they were his. and well they were, ive been given a week. so i can make my statement later.
and so they were. problem is my family might suffer for it since i let my brother use there car. any advise? and if anyone suffers for this it should only be me. since i enabled him.
oh and also did you know its illegal to scrap burnt wire now unless your exxon?

I wish I could help you... You shouldn't be blamed for what happened though. So... You got in trouble when you returned it? That's not fair at all...
And no, I did not know that. There are too many dumb laws to keep track of them all.

Amras Tasatir I wish I could help you... You shouldn't be blamed for what happened though. So... You got in trouble when you returned it? That's not fair at all... And no, I did not know that. There are too many dumb laws to keep track of them all. no im not being blamed for it, i already came clean, cop dident do anything just said i have a week, makes me think its being taken lightly. but i dont wanna take it lightly.

If you didn't steal anything then you didn't do anything wrong. You actually did the right thing. Get your brother help and don't let him manipulate you any more.

Get your brother help and don't let him manipulate you any more. i was there with him, bbut i was under the impression that he wasnt stealing it, dident even have to really check but turned out he did. and the cops are investivating the scrap yard he took it to.

All you can do is tell the truth about the situation. Legally, they're the ones that have to make the case. Just make it clear that you were an unknowing and unwilling party in all of it. If it was you checking that lead to the discovery of theft then that should work in your favor too.

I'm sure its tough when it's concerning a family member. but ugh i hate this drug culture though they think because you dont treat a drug addict like trash makes you one too. but EXcuse mee for not being paranoid of my brother every WAKING moment im in contact with him. (granted I should be, now seeing hes a remorseless sociopathic thief, who doesnt care as long as he can get away with his crime.)
