The Eternal Senshi of Danger was working hard to figure out his attack. He hadn't yet been able to find the words in himself, or summon whatever energy he needed. He was sure there would be a new move: the other Eternals he had heard about had to have them, right? And he had gotten a new move at Super, so where was the new power in this form?

Yes, he could punch and kick harder, he could still call his other attacks and they were powerful, but it wasn't exactly enough.

Tonight, he was looking for another punching bag. But he decided to give one of the senshi he hadn't seen in a while a ring, and get him to come and take a gander at the awesome new Eternal senshi on the scene. Of course, he had no idea that the very senshi he was going to gloat to had also come into a power up.

Not that it would matter, either way.

Standing on the roof of a tall building, the tallest in the area, Chaonis surveyed the scenes below. It was night, dark, and he was waiting for a youma to pop up. His cell phone was in hand, call made, but his attention span was already wandering. Waiting wasn't his thing: he needed action.

He was already debating leaping off the roof and seeing if he'd hurt himself from the fall.

If Chaonis did jump off just to see if it would hurt, Foramen was going to point and laugh - especially if it did break something. The call had been unexpected. Sure, he and Chaonis had talked about teaming up again later, but Foramen had got caught up in his (or rather, Jada's) summer plans - not to mention trying to decide what to do now that high school was out forever - and he assumed the same had happened to Chaonis. It wasn't that they hadn't meant what they'd said, just that life liked to get in the way.

So anyway, one phonecall and here Foramen was, ready to show off his new, Super self. He thought the Senshi of Danger would like the power upgrade - dropping cars on youma heads was a lot more impressive than dropping trash cans on them.

Landing on the roof where Chaonis was waiting, Foramen brushed his even longer tail-bows behind him. Senshi speed had gotten him this far (and boy did he like the speed boost that came as a Super), but he walked over to Chaonis at a normal pace.

"Super Sailor Foramen, at your service," he said breezily. " 'Cept for how I'm not really, but hey."

Basically he just wanted to make sure that Chaonis didn't miss the new and improved Foramen. He eyed Chaonis to check for a response... and then noticed the new outfit and buttwings of the other male. Well ********, there went his tiny spotlight.

Foramen scowled, but quickly cheered up again. He knew a great way to work that frustration off. "We gonna kick some a** and take names?"

A moment's pause, and then Foramen couldn't resist adding, "Speaking of a**... nice asswings, dude."

Chaonis hadn't been too caught up in anything school or friend related, as he didn't have either to worry about. Well, maybe he had some friends, but he wouldn't admit to it out loud unless forced. In truth, his friends meant more to him than he would ever admit.

As did his new duties, which he had taken upon himself in an effort to avoid just that: duty. He spent his time while powered up doing the usual, fighting bad guys and sometimes robbing the odd store, but he also focused on training other senshi. Ones he thought were weaker than him, or, most often, newbies.

It had become more than a pasttime to him. It was a job, of sorts. A calling? Maybe. All he knew was he had never felt so strongly about anything before, and had never felt this urge to continue doing it, to be good at it. Not just for himself, but for others. All his life he avoided meaning anything to anyone, and yet now he was setting himself up in a dangerous place.

If he let anyone down in this game, it could be their lives that are taken in payment.

He grinned as one of the first senshi he had ever randomly fought with, and then oddly befriended, came toward him, nodding his head in approval of the change. The look was certainly not something Chaonis would go for, but it was still a boost in power and therefore put him in a better place of respect. Of course, just not as cool as Chaonis'.

He grinned.

"I'm all for kicking a** and taking names. You have a new teleport thing?" He remembered how awesome the last move had been, so as a super he had to have something cooler, right? "And that's 'nice asswings, eternal dude', to you."

He folded his arms over his chest and posed.

It was easy to get wrapped up in all the cool things about being eternal, but the fact remained that he still didn't know his new move. For some reason it hadn't come to him, and he was having some trouble controlling his new power. Ah well, they didn't call him danger for nothing.

Foramen snorted and grinned. "Oh, my apologies, mister eternal, sir."

The sarcasm was light and Foramen was still in a good mood. At least this eternal was someone he knew he could actually work with, not one of the 'save the world, goody two shoes' senshi who might have meant the rank-reminder seriously.

Foramen's grin took a turn for the malicious as Chaonis asked about the possibility of new and improved teleporting. Now there was a facet of the upgrade Foramen enjoyed more than any speed or strength boost. "A whole lotta extra oomph, and even a passenger service," he explained. Finally, no more passing out when people decided to tag along for the ride (thanks, Astraea, really). Though he still couldn't move as far with a passenger as he could on his own.

"How about you?" Foramen turned to Chaonis. He raised an eyebrow. "Something appropriately destructive and dangerous for our new Eternal?"

"That's much better," Chaonis said with an imperious look, mostly feigned. He laughed and shook his head, though he was certainly very proud of himself. Despite his strong desire to be as self centered as possible all the time, he did feel oddly glad to see Foramen had powered up, as well.

It just meant their powers were both much more impressive now, and the youma they ran into, or Nega even, was going to really have a bad night.

When he was asked about his own powers, though, he frowned.

"Well. I haven't exactly figured that one out yet. Must be I haven't run into anyone worth it yet," he shrugged, though it did actually make him rather angry. It made him feel like he was missing something, or he hadn't trained hard enough for it. Sure he didn't train, per se, since he hated the word itself but he did fight a lot. A whole lot. He trained others. That should all count, shouldn't it?

He tried not to look too pissed off. He still had his ego to take care of.

"I think we should go find something, see if I can't figure it out. You think? Mostly I've been sparring with newbies, which doesn't really allow for much... danger." That was not a pun. "Come on!"

He moved to hop off, not knowing where they might find a youma, but sure they'd stumble onto something worth fighting if they went out looking. That was how it usually worked, right?

Foramen frowned when Chaonis admitted he hadn't managed to pull out his Eternal attack yet. It worried the redhead that these senshi abilities came without an instruction manual. Well, unless you counted the cats. They always seemed to know what you should be saying and doing to make things work. But they were so goddamn annoying about it that Foramen decided not to mention the idea to Chaonis. Who wanted to be saddled with a furball anyway?

"Worked for us last time," Foramen agreed to the genius plan of 'find something, kill it'. Maybe if it was a big enough youma, Chaonis might even find his Eternal attack. "Sparring probably isn't enough for you to get worked up. Not to mention the worry of accidentally killing one of the idiots."

It was no wonder that Chaonis wasn't drawing out his full potential. His Super attack had been destructive enough. The guy had probably put a mental block on himself so that he didn't end up with dead newbie on his hands.

"Lead the way," Foramen gestured. Lord knew he couldn't lose sight of those asswings in the sky. Snickering to himself, Foramen leapt after the Senshi of Danger.

Chaonis wasn't much of a pet person. He barely took care of the very normal, non-powered or talking dog that stayed at his house. Stayed at the house, that was, but was not his pet. It was Tony's dog, and as far as Chaonis was concerned it could stay that way.

"Yeah, that kind of defeats the purpose of sparring, and I'm not going to do the work for those Nega morons. The goal is to make their lives harder, after all, by any means necessary."

Making life hard for people he didn't like was generally Chaonis' thing, after all.

He hopped from roof to roof, looking around for any sign of trouble down below. He forgot about newbies for now. About training and wars and all that 'responsible' stuff. For now, he was just going to find something to make a punching bag out of, and see what new s**t Foramen could do. And it was going to be fun.

"There," he said, spotting a large shadow followed only a second later by a loud scream down in an abandoned lot. "Looks like we have ourselves a youma."
PostPosted: Fri Aug 12, 2011 8:17 pm

Foramen was all down for this plan. Something entertaining to do, that didn't require strategy or forethought or 'what are you going to do with your life now that you've graduated?' (It was a bit hard to explain to one's grandfather and guidance counselor that you were going to destroy the forces of evil that were slowly taking over the planet. Padded rooms and white jackets were not in Kirin's future, thanks.)

So finding something evil and hitting it until it died sounded just right to Foramen's mind. And look, the universe provides!

"Looks like we have ourselves a youma," Chaonis pointed.

Foramen shared a smirk with the other senshi. "Let's get this thing started, then."

Landing in the abandoned lot, Foramen could make out the silhouette of a large youma chasing after a civilian. He couldn't help but make a face and think that the civilian would have more air for running faster if they would just stop screaming. But then, most people didn't expect to actually run into a real life monster.

He glanced around. The lot was a nice playground for him. Plenty of abandoned, rotting and rusting items. Maybe it was time to show off...?

The last time Chaonis had seen Foramen, his limit had been dropping around garbage cans and occasionally slicing off a limb. This time... Foramen eyed a rust bucket, bomb of a car that must have been in the lot for a year or more.

"Vanishing Rift, Sever!"

The car was swallowed by a thin rift appearing beneath it. Foramen turned his gaze back to the charging youma. At the speed it was moving, and the rate it would take the rift to appear and the car to fall... The blue streak tore open the air above the civilian. But both were on the move, and the car crashed down on the youma. Well, onto its tail. Slight miscalculation, oops.

At least they had the youma's full attention now?

Screaming seemed to be a natural instinct for most helpless people, as he viewed them. Civilians didn't know how to do anything but freak out, blame all the wrong people for their supernatural woes, and run around in circles with their arms flailing. And that was it.

No wonder youma liked playing with them.

He watched as Foramen targeted the car and called his attack, arching his eyebrow in interest as he folded his arms over his chest. He kept his thoughts off his face, just watching with his usual, cocky expression. It always seemed like he was judging or mocking, even when he was rather impressed.

"Aim's a bit off," he pointed off, but the moment he spoke a grin broke out over his face. He clearly very much enjoyed the attack, and there were many, many things they could do with that. He charged a forward while the youma was reeling and screeching, trying to free itself from the inconvenient car that had been dropped on it.

Always hands on, Chaonis smashed his fist into the youma's face, without calling his attack. Mostly because he didn't have it yet.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 21, 2011 8:30 pm

"Yeah, yeah," Foramen grumped as Chaonis pointed out the mostly-miss. "Everyone's a critic."

He wasn't too upset. Mostly he was having a hard time holding back a smug grin at how easy it had been to move the car. It would have been impossible before he levelled up, and now it felt like tossing cats around.

Chaonis leapt in, leading with his fists like always. Foramen winced at the hit, letting out an impressed noise. Even without being part of a magical attack, that had to hurt.

His own strength was not on that level. But a handy two-by-four grabbed from a pile of discarded building supplies gave Foramen a decent swing of his own. The board cracked over the head of the youma, earning Foramen an enraged snarl and a swipe of claws the length of Foramen's hand.

With a meep, he darted back. Alright, clearly Foramen was still better attacking from a distance. He'd leave the dangerous in-your-face stuff to Chaonis.

"You going to try and find your new power?" he called to the other male. If nothing else, did senshi still have access to past-level powers? Or was Chaonis out of luck until he found the right wording?

Chaonis did his damned best to make sure he could fight without his magic, if only because he knew that he could get a little bit in over his head with his spells. On a good day, anyway.

Tonight, he was a little jazzed by the fighting and seeing Foramen's move. He wanted to fight. No. He wanted to show off, too.

Even without his Eternal attack.

"Let's see if we can't get some energy in the air, huh?" He laughed, nodding his head after Foramen smashed the board on the youma's head. It didn't look too happy about that, though one could only imagine why. He grinned and arched an eyebrow.

"Okay, but I can't work if you're making those girly little noises. Scared? I'll be the fists, you be the... everything else. Watch and learn, buddy. Warning! Earthquake Zone!"

It was his Super attack, but he figured it was better than nothing. Unfortunately, it was out of his control almost immediately. Instead of allowing him a boost of strength and expelling the energy he built up after a few hits, it skipped right to releasing a burst of magic in the form of an Earthquake. Chaonis charged even as everything began to shake, the earthquake confined to only a few feet around them, but it was still strong. The ground began to split, things began to fall over.

Chaonis slammed his fist into the youma's face regardless, even as a large split in the floor raced toward Foramen.
PostPosted: Mon Aug 22, 2011 4:09 pm

Foramen raised an eyebrow at 'girly sounds', but ultimately shrugged. It was more used to speaking in his feminine voice these days. If the senshi magic didn't make it near-impossible to be anything other than his real self, Foramen was sure he would have slipped up a hundred times by now, sliding in and out of his two vocal registers.

He had to laugh at the idea of being classified as everything except the fists. "Sure thing," he agreed, grinning.

It wasn't the first time he'd seen Chaonis' old attack, but it still caught his attention. Foramen had a brief ripple of envy, watching the attack build and Chaonis' fist fly towards the monster. It must be nice to be the brawns, the undefeatable jock... Foramen shrugged it off with a dismissive noise. Ah well, it wasn't bad being the sneaky, intelligent one, either. And they both had their weaknesses covered nicely when they worked together.

Foramen took a moment to realise that something had gone wrong. The split in the ground was almost on him by the time his brain caught him up that that wasn't supposed to happen. He frowned, leaping back away from the split. It kept coming. A move to the side proved futile as a smaller crack split off from the main, the earth still crumbling before him.

"Vanishing Rift, Sever!" he cried, disappearing just as the space he'd been standing fell into the chasm.

Appearing behind Chaonis, where he'd hoped it would be safer, Foramen turned startled eyes on the other senshi. "Dude, what the hell? Don't get me wrong, very awesome. But, uh, you picked on my aim?"

Chaonis, if asked, would certainly agree that he was awesome, his move was awesome, and his lot in life was awesome. He would expound on these points by highlighting his strength and speed, as well as the power of his magic. Of course, he was a very bias source of information.

In reality, his confidence was out matched. He had lost control since powering up, and his power had gotten out of hand, away from him. He didn't like it, after how hard he had worked to control it. He hated it, in fact, as he never wanted to waste his time doing something 'important' only for it to be thrown in his face as a failure.

And in a way, this whole inability to properly use his attacks was just that.

The idea of being back at the drawing board infuriated him. It made him want to fight harder, but more recklessly, and that would just make him more dangerous to everyone around him. He didn't feel like he had a way to win. figuratively.

At the moment he wasn't thinking figuratively. He saw a youma that needed to get punched to dust. Simple as that. The rest could wait. Which was probably a big part of the problem.

"Hey! It's not my fault you decided to stand on the... on the fault!" He grunted, like a playground bully being mocked by his own posse. He looked indignant, then forced a grin. "Let's just kill this thing, alright?"

The youma, for its part, was struggling to get its foot out of the chasm. First its tail and now its foot. It was a sitting duck.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 23, 2011 11:00 pm

Foramen frowned the casual dismissal of threat to his person. He was well aware that Chaonis attacks could damage the surroundings and not just the target, but he hadn't thought that extended... quite so far. Or that Chaonis would be quite so carefree about possible damage to his allies.

"You're lucky I can teleport," he muttered. Shaking his head, Foramen decided to go with it for now. Killing the youma was the priority. Chaonis lack of control, or care, could wait til they weren't in danger of being squished.

The youma was stuck. Foramen let out a low chuckle. That certainly made their job easier.

"Hit it again?" Foramen called to Chaonis, making sure to stay behind the other senshi in case the same thing happened again. Meanwhile, Foramen cast his sight about for something else to use himself. Against a wall, set down beside a rusted dumpster, were several large sections of concrete pipe. Foramen had a brief image of unfinished sewer lines beneath them. He grimaced, hoping that wasn't what had happened. But still, a very nice (and very heavy) weapon for him.

There was a moment's pause as he considered his energy levels. Maybe running on half by this point, he figured. Enough for one more shot and then getting home (or in case of emergency).

"This better be enough, between the two of us," Foramen thought aloud. Then he was all business. "Vanishing Rift, Sever!"

A blue line appeared under one of the pipe sections. It sank slowly down. Just as Foramen was about to close it off, another piece of pipe tilted, balance gone without the piece it had been leaned up against, and followed the first into the rift. Foramen's eyebrows rose. That... was unexpected. And potentially not so great...

Quickly, he reopened the rift above the head of the trapped youma. Thunk, thunk, the two pieces of large concrete collided - on target this time.

The youma let out a deafening groan. With it's foot still stuck, it wobbled in place, clearly disorientated but unable to stumble backwards.

Foramen did it for him. His eyes crossed, then closed in a wince. The throbbing in his head made it hard to concentrate on whatever Chaonis was up to now.

"Go get him," Foramen said half-heartedly, waving a hand in... someone's general direction.

'Note to self,' Foramen thought, 'accidentally transporting twice as much as you were expecting is not recommended.' Yeah, he was walking home. Unless he wanted to sit down and take a breather for about an hour, which he so didn't.

"You mean you're lucky you can teleport," Chaonis countered with a grin. He knew he was in trouble here, but he was not very good at apologizing or being nice. So he teased and shrugged.

Chaonis nodded his head, though, at the order to hit the youma again. Any time, he thought. He lived for punching things, after all, and he felt his best if he was fighting. And having a partner aiding him, one who was useful and just as keen on it as he was, just made it better. Chaonis hadn't really thought about that before.

He saw Foramen teleport the concrete, but he didn't notice that it hadn't been on purpose. He charged as the youma reeled, pulling his fist back and then lashing out at the thing with all his might. The earth rumbled again, almost like an aftershock, as his fist slammed into the youma's face and it burst into dust in combination with the two attacks.

Chaonis let out a whoop and threw his hands up in victory, then looked back at Foramen. He frowned, noting he looked tired.

"What happened? You okay? Don't puss out on me now, we just won."
