xxNote:xJayden was a gifted character; he did have previous ties to the shop before I got him.
Therefore I wanted to keep him largely the same without changing his personality too much from the original.
What you see here is my interpretation of him, in my own words, with a few tweaks and minor changes.
Still, since he is becoming my character, I'd like to re-do critiques and improve him before I start RP in the shop. o uob

xxxWondering how a light bulb works? There's a book for that. What about the chemistry of baking? Book for that too.
xxxMore often than not Jayden can be seen at school with his nose shoved in a book. He loves learning
xxxabout how things work, reading theories, and the general concept of physics in the natural world. He's the type that
xxxif he has a question, he'll go seek an answer.
xxxBut, for all his studies, rarely does he put things into practice. He reads for the knowledge and doesn't like hands-on too much.
xxxxxCounting Cards
xxxJayden plays games based on cold hard science -- naturally card games are something he's good at.
xxxHis expert poker face and analytical nature make him a natural gambler...if you can
xxxcall it that since the gray-eyed boy will only play if he knows he can win.

xxxThis goes hand-in-hand with his first two hobbies. Jayden likes knowing everyone's business, especially if it
xxxconcerns him. Collecting his own information about people is just as interesting as reading it pre-printed
xxxin a book, and it's pretty easy to do so, especially in High School. Though he's by no means
xxxfriendly with anyone, he is on a first-name basis...know them well enough to get them to talk but not so well that they call
xxxasking to hang out on Friday.

xxxThough it seems to be out of his tastes, gaming is one way Jayden blows off steam on the weekends.
xxxTrash talking people you don't -- and probably ever will -- know is the perfect solution for
xxxgetting out the anger and stress without ruining any relationships. It's a necessity if you want to keep up appearances.
xxxBut, he only plays on the weekends, and only at home safely tucked away in his room.

xxxJayden is the type of person you go to if you need to get something done quickly and efficiently. He's got
xxxall his pens stacked up and organized on his desk according to size, the paper stacked neatly, and sticky notes
xxxon a bulletin board for things he's got to do. If you have a question, chances are
xxxhe'll have the answer thanks to all his reading...if he doesn't then he has a handy dandy reference guide to find it for you quick. He prides himself
xxxon being able to do anything and be there for anyone if he needs to be, albeit a bit smug about you needing help from him.
xxxIt only really bugs him if you call him for something, then change you mind last minute. Need a ride home
xxxthen just as he's getting into the car call and change your mind? He'll probably grind his teeth and sulk for a few hours.

xxxIf a fire were to break out and everyone was on the verge of panic, Jayden would be the one to take charge (besides, he already
xxxmemorized the fire escape route). He's able to remain calm and collected, sticking true to his rational nature. Panic only
xxxleads to disorder, and that's when things go wrong and people get hurt. Or get in his way.
xxxThis may work to his advantage in that people tend to flock towards calm in desperate times, and Jayden
xxxis more than happy to take a leadership role if needed.

xxxWhen people ask the red-head for advice, he's not afraid to give it. Jayden's responses are clear and direct; he'll tell you exactly what you need to do, how to
xxxget there, and what works most effectively. He doesn't sugar coat things, he just tells it like it is. Instead, he'll give advice
xxxon how to fix the problem if he has no other choice to reply, "Yes, that dress does make you look fat."
xxxThough not outright mean, he believes that if people want his honest opinion they should get it, and overall people tend to appreciate him for that.
Flaws:
xxxxxYou're all the same
xxxHis honesty can be a virtue, but it can also double as a flaw due to his lack of consideration. He makes it his business to know everyone else's, but he doesn't
xxxparticularly care about the people. He gathers information for his own ends, no other reason. While it's not
xxxenough to make outright enemies, it is enough to get the occasional "You're a d**k, you know that?"
xxxcomment when dealing with particularly sensitive persons.
xxxxxOf course I'm better than you
xxxSometimes, Jayden can get too full of himself, and come off as very arrogant. His responses to "stupid"
xxxquestions are often sarcastic and snide, and he'll tend to pick fights with people he feels are "lower" than
xxxhim...though he's always careful to make sure he will be the winner.
xxxHe does this particularly often when he's running a temper, often insulting and antagonizing the other person until
xxxthey start the fight (as a form of venting, much like with trash-talk in video games).
xxxxxLeave me alone
xxxJayden knows everyone's business -- but nobody knows his. He's very adamant about keeping his private life
xxxprivate unless there's an absolute reason that you need to know. Having a general conversation and just offhandedly asking what he
xxxhad for breakfast, unless you were there, he probably wouldn't bother responding. Anyone attempting to pry would be met with snappy sarcasm, no
xxxexceptions. Keeping everything to himself often leads to several consequences; in public he gets frustrated easily, while at home he becomes a quiet recluse.
xxxEmotional strain can become a real weak point for him since he won't let himself lean against anyone, but at the
xxxsame time he doesn't know how to deal with it...and the stack of books don't help at all.

xxxCane. Uses it mostly for walking and beating people who deserve it. Or don't, as the case may be.

xxxA glaive! With the cane ending...to lean on and stuff. Just a simple blade at the end.
xxxxxGeneral:
xxxGlaive gets a slightly bigger blade and it leaves a burning sensation after a cut. Also a bit more
xxxornate in the blade's apperance.

xxx• Jayden cares very deeply about his family, but would never admit so outright. In public he retains his
xxxneutral demeanor, but at home in private he allows himself to be a bit more relaxed
xxxand caring (and also a bit more playful with the younger siblings).
xxx• His mother's death was recent; however he continues on as if nothing major has changed. Not knowing
xxxhow to deal with it properly he just ignores the fact that she's no longer there. On the odd occasion that he
xxxdoes think about it, he gets very mopey and depressed.

Typical Redhead is a bit too situation-specific. You need to work it into a flaw that can potentially apply all the time -- since you refer to him being high-and-mighty towards others, I'd make his arrogance the focus instead of the occasional temper bursts. You can definitely include the hotheadedness as part of it, though.
You're all the same needs a bit more clarification on why this is bad. Treating everyone the same way is not necessarily a bad thing... unless he treats everyone like crap. XD If he does, I'd specify so.
Also, do you have any ideas for his weapon progression? It would be lovely if you could toss those in!

Alrighty, I tried to clarify them and cleaned up the red-head trait a bit. > u< Now sure on weapon progression....from what I understand he was won in a raffle last year and already had his other stages planned out/drawn/sketched (or something) by the artist? Though if I'm wrong I can try and come up with it. xD'

Natsube has not drawn the future stages of other raffle characters so she wouldn't have done this one either. So you're free to come up with your own weapons for Captain and General.

A glaive that's literally on fire is a bit too much. However, you could have it leave a burning sensation upon landing a hit!

I wanted to try and in operate fire somehow since his cane has that design but I like the burning sensation idea! :3
