The walk back to the monster dorms was quiet and peaceful even with the sounds of other students also heading back to their rooms. It was a little too peaceful. Junko had grown quiet during the walk, leaning against Seiji as they walked and eyelids drooping until her eyes were almost closed. It...it was because she was so content! Yes. She was happy. She was content. She wasn't tired. Not at all...
Throughout the walk the boil had been quiet save the soft melody of song hummed under his breath. It was folksy, vaguely haunting, but very soothing. A glance down at the ghoul at his side showed that perhaps it was a little too soothing. He gave her a small kiss on her temple to make sure she stayed awake as they walked. "If you close your eyes I'll be forced to carry you." It wasn't really a threat.
The song was very nice, though she did kind of want to ask him to sing. She loved to hear him sing. The kiss made her eyes flutter open again, looking up at him with a curious look. Carry her? "My eyes weren't closed." Junko replied stubbornly, lifting part of her skirt so she could walk up the steps into the monster dorms and lead Seiji inside. She was very glad for the lights and the large hallways, though she leaned against him more heavily. She tried to make it look like simple affection with a happy sigh, fishing a key out of her hair to unlock her door and step inside. The minipets were asleep, thankfully. Junko closed the door behind them and flicked on the lights, already beginning to pull the pins and ties out of her hair. Her movements were..very sluggish. Not tired. No.
"Of course they weren't." If she wanted to be stubborn he'd let her, sure she was on the absolute verge of passing out. They'd likely never make it back to his dorm, let alone out for a walk after. Well that was just fine, a bit of cuddling and a good night's rest sounded right about perfect to him anyways. When they reached the stairs to the dorms he kept his grip on her hand firm, ready for if she stumbled, and looped it around her shoulders when she made it to the top without incident. Smiling at the show of affection but seeing it for what it truly was. When they reached her room he expected barking, he was relieved to find the room blissfully quiet. While she went straight to work on taking down her hair, he moved to take a seat on the edge of her bed. Sliding his arms free of the yukata so it hung around his waist by the belt.
Sayuri did stir in her sleep, though she remained blissfully flopped on top of Kuro. The two foxes snuggled up underneath Junko's blankets, having burrowed their way under them while awaiting their mommy's return. Aoi was somewhere. Antisocial b*****d. Her hair released from its binds, Junko lazily tossed everything into a small box, allowing her hair to writhe freely and happily. Even her hair seemed lazy about its movements though. It seemed Junko had forgotten Seiji's presence in her fight to stay awake, reaching back to unzip the back of her dress before seeing a movement in the corner of her eye. Huh? What was--OH! She blushed, holding the dress up so it wouldn't just fall down. "Oh..right. Um...close your eyes." Junko demanded tiredly, still blushing as she pouted at him. As shy as ever.
A bit of movement out the corner of his eye caught his attention and the boil glanced down at the lumps under the blankets beside him. That explained where the annoying little runts were. He didn't look up again until he heard Junko's voice, blinking at her reflection in the mirror as he slid one of the heavier bracers off his left wrist. "What?" She was joking, right? Dark eyes narrowed before he gave an exasperated sigh and closed them. "Fine, but it's not like I haven't seen everything already."
No, she wasn't joking. She was being completely serious, blushing more as he narrowed his eyes and sighed. But he closed them, that was all that mattered. "You haven't seen -everything- just...a lot..." She mumbled, not out of anything like dejection or annoyance. She was losing the battle of Stay Awake. The dress was let go and taken off, looking at Seiji every now and then to make sure his eyes were still closed as she carefully picked up the dress, finding a special hanger for it to go in her wardrobe. After that the stockings and heels were removed, though she stumbled leaning down to take off said items and...hit the floor. "I-I'm okay!" She called out, tossing the stockings and shoes away before she changed into a regular outfit. Albeit a less fancy one than she was used to wearing, but it was only for the trip from her dorm to Seiji's anyway. Pajamas were found shortly after that, and she crawled onto the bed to sit beside Seiji, hugging one of his arms and nuzzling her cheek against his shoulder while her legs draped across his lap.
"Yeah, but the half that's gunna be exposed I've already seen.". His voice was mildly annoyed, but mostly an odd mixture of amused and tired. She might have wanted to pretend otherwise, but the ghost was beat. He didn't normally need sleep, but it sounded like a really good idea at the moment. He heard a thump, and one eye opened just a peek before closing again at her reassurance. Opening for real only after she'd draped her legs over his lap. He placed his hands on the warm curve of calf and lower thigh before glancing at her. "You gunna make it all the way to the ghost dorms?"
He was so cool; it felt so nice against her warm skin after such an exciting night. She pressed her face against his bare upper arm with a happy sound, tightening her hug for a moment as she pulled herself as close as she could get. At his question she nodded, opening her eyes and looking up at him with a small smile. "Of course. M'not tired. You're the tired one. Maybe it's me who'll be carrying you, hm?" Junko fell quiet after that, reaching up with one hand to cup his cheek and pull him down for a slow, soft kiss against his lips. "Sing me that song again?" She asked quietly after, brushing her lips against his. She meant the one he'd sung for her at prom, the one from his favorite movie.
He gave her legs a soft rub from knee to ankle before slipping off the other bracer and setting it down with the other beside him. "Of course you're not," he agreed, his voice going soft. Quieting as she reached up to catch his cheek so she could bring him down for a kiss. Sing? "As the world falls down?" If it meant staying where they were he didn't mind it. "Sure, but that lights awfully bright."
"M'not." Junko mumbled stubbornly, though She sighed with exasperation at the constant assurances of complete lies. Ugh. Stupid ghoul. "Yes, that one~." She answered with a little more excitement, looking forward to hearing him doing it right away. He would, right? Oh..apparently not. It was too bright? She could fix that! Junko didn't want to get up though, and the light switch was too far for her hair. Damn! Stupid distance stuff! "I can fix that.." Junko fumbled off his lap and across the room, flicking the lights off and turning around. Crap. It was a good thing ghosts had that glow to them or she'd get lost in her own room right now. Junko trudged back to the bed and climbed onto it, curling up on her side this time to put her head on his lap, reaching out to hold one of his hands and press it against her lips. "Better?"
He smirked, first at her continued denial, then further as she slipped free of him it trudge across the room towards the light switch. Dark eyes glowing faintly in the sudden total darkness. He could still see her, but he doubted she could see anything beyond his spectral haze. "Much better." He let her take his hand to kiss it before drawing it gently from her grasp so he could stand. Taking his belt of so the yukata could fall to the ground, soon followed by his under shirt, pants, and shin wraps. Slipping back beside her in his boxers. Arms curled underneath her so he could pick her up enough to settle her in the bed properly with him beside her. "There's such a sad love, deep in your eyes~"
As he stood Junko whined in protest though she lifted her head so he could stand without knocking her over, closing her eyes instead of taking this opportune chance to watch her boilfriend undress. She nearly fell asleep before he picked her up, squeaking and jumping a little to wrap her arms around his neck. Were they leaving? Well then just let her...wait...he wasn't wearing a shirt. Were they not leaving? Her unasked question was answered by finding herself settled under the covers, stirring the tired minipets enough to get them to flop off the bed and onto the floor. They ended up sleeping however they landed. Strange foxes. She buried her face against his chest, resting one hand on his shoulder as she snuggled up close against Seiji. "A kind of pale jewel~." She sang quietly in a content mumble. She didn't know all the words, but a few of them were catching on.
He had almost expected some sort of protest as she snuggled in against him enough to realize his current state of undress, when none came he smiled. Sliding his human hand beneath the pillow he folded his arm so it added to the cushion beneath his head, clawed fingers gliding along one pale arm. "Open and closed within your eyes,~". His voice was barely above a murmured whisper, just loud enough to still be considered singing. "I'll place the sky within your eyes.~"
Frankly Junko was just too tired to care. She herself wasn't even in pajamas, she was wearing a normal outfit! The clawed fingers brushing over her arm made her shiver, leaving a trail of goosebumps in its wake. Her hand clenched, affectionately tightening the grip on his shoulder. How did the next part go? She couldn't remember.. "Seiji..?" Junko turned her head and opened her eyes, gaze settling on his face.
Had he had the time for proper timing he might have made sure she made it into pajamas, or slightly less, but he had been working on the fly. Responding to the tightening of small fingers on his shoulder he paused in his singing, glancing down at her as she said his name. "Hmm?"
"Um.." She blushed, her hand rubbing at his shoulder as she looked away for a moment before looking to him again. "Promise you won't...get tired of me?" Junko was quiet but serious, leaning in to brush her lips against his cheek. "A-and if you do, tell me so I can...fix it..." She didn't want to lose him. Not when she was realizing she loved him. Junko paused a moment, remembering another part of the song. "I'll place the moon within your heart~." It skipped a few lines, but he could correct her later.
He blinked down at her with a frown before his expression softened. "Tired of you? I don't think I could," he was trying to make light of it, chase that quiet sadness from her face. "How can I get bored of someone that always keeps me on my toes?" He tipped his chin so the kiss landed on his lips, the next verse murmured against his mouth before he took her lip between his teeth, deepening the kiss.
She kept him on his toes? Really? Junko was about to ask, she wanted to ask how she did something like that when she was just a shy and naive little monster, but he'd kissed her before she could. Her eyes widened with surprise at first before slowly closing, pressing closer into the kiss to eagerly return it.
The bend of one claw folded beneath her chin so he could hold her close to him, mouth opening against hers so he could invade that lovely little mouth of hers, albeit rather more gently then he may normally have in similar circumstances. She was tired, they both were, and even if they hadn't been it would be unwise to rile either of them up too much, considering the unlikely possibility of it going anywhere productive.
Her lips parted as she felt his mouth open and his tongue brush her lips, her arms slinking around to wrap as comfortably around his neck as she could manage. The thought of this getting any further than kissing wasn't even crossing her mind as she grazed her tongue against Seiji's, a sensation she was still getting used to. But she wanted this; she wanted to show him she loved him.
More would have been nice, but it wasn't likely to happen that night, nor would he be holding his breath for it in the morning. In fact he had very recently decided he wasn't going to enter any situation expecting anything beyond kisses and cuddles. It saved on disappointment, made for pleasant surprises, and was simply appreciated for what it was. He would take the kiss, and after drawing back so he could steal a softer one he pulled her in against his chest, murmuring against the top of her head. "I'm not going anywhere, J. I love you."
Had she known of this decision she would admittedly feel a little bad. Seiji had needs and desires, needs and desires that Junko just didn't think about or tend to crave. Did she? When the stars aligned just right, sure. But those were few and fleeting desires trigged by things like...not wearing a damn shirt. He ended the kiss and she whined in protest, leaning in to catch the second one and try to make it last before she was pulled against his chest. His words made her open her eyes again, gazing up at him adoringly. Jack, she loved him. She sniffed a little, a huge smile on her tired face as she rubbed at the lower line of one eye and making sure he couldn't see her face. Or her eyes in particular. "I love you, Seiji. Thank you for tonight." She couldn't thank him enough, honestly.
If she whined like that in protest whenever he tried to play the gentleman it was going to become increasingly difficult controlling himself. If he had any inclination whatsoever that she knew how she effected him he might have commented, but she didn't. He wasn't going to make her feel bad for this. Brushing the sharp points of his fingers along her back he rested his chin against the top of her head. Completely missing any moisture that may or may not have been forming at the corners of pretty eyes. "Shouldn't I be saying that to you?"
The touches of his clawed fingers made her shiver and cling to him, suddenly wishing Seiji had some kind of shirt to grab on to. Why was he so weird about clothing? Honestly! Junko sniffed again, though otherwise she was calm and content. "Me? Why?" She giggled, nuzzling her face against his neck with a happy sigh. He didn't need to thank her for anything. She hadn't done anything as far as she was aware. Junko's eyes drifted closed again, one of her arms slipping to just rest her hand against his chest. "You're the one," She yawned, snuggling close to him. "who's been making sacrifices and stuff. And humoring me. And...stuff..." Don't judge her; she was losing the battle of Stay Awake. "What'd I do?" Junko mumbled quietly.
He snorted softly in amusement as she snuggled closer to him. Continuing to stroke her back as a yawn finally made its way past his lips. "Yeah, maybe. But you did make my clothing," He gave the top of her head another kiss. "And you seem to have this uncanny ability to make me strive to be a better person." His voice was growing softer, slower. She was on the verge of sleep, but now that they were snuggled under the covers he was starting to feel the whole of the evening weighing down on him. "You're worth making sacrifices for."
"But I always make clothing. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary.." Junko yawned, insisting she didn't do anything to be thanked for. She'd make clothes for Seiji anytime, all he had to do was ask...or even just not ask, just say he'd like it. She'd make clothes for him even if he had no intention of wearing them; it was good practice. She loved practice. Junko sighed heavily, not wanting to talk anymore. She wanted to sleep. Sleep forever. Her heart skipped a beat at what he finally said, her eyes opening to look up at him. She was...worth it. She was worth it. She didn't even realize he was making sacrifices for her. Junko was too tired to wonder about it and after pressing her lips against his cheek for a soft kiss and closing her eyes she quickly gave in to the need the need to sleep. Junko was out like a light in record time.
Throughout the walk the boil had been quiet save the soft melody of song hummed under his breath. It was folksy, vaguely haunting, but very soothing.
