Rina was originally the NPC who greeted new Gaians, but more recently her job consists of arranging and selling flowers in Barton Flowershoppe and making bouquets in the Flower Exchange. She often announces new Monthly Collectibles as well as confirms their purchases. Rina also appears when account settings are changed.
Rina is always cheery and full of energy, and Leon is always ready to hide from her.Gaia Rejected Olympics 2k8Rina appears in the Barton Manga, Cat Fish, with an angel imp that she'd met as she was out gathering flowers. The imp changes into a more attractive (and naked) human form to help out Barton team in the games, and she glomps him.Halloween 2k8Rina drags Ian and Rufus to see Ms. Fortune. After fighting breaks out due to prophecy of disaster, Ian entrusts Rufus to watch over Rina. After the issue is dissolved, Ian returns to find Rina has made Rufus "pretty"...and screams.
Pie Hard Summer Event 2k9Rina bakes a slew of usual and unusual pies. In an attempt to get other to try her many different flavor combinations, Kanoko suggests Rina have a pie eating contest. All the pie flavors can be found in her shop.

Kanoko is an Exchange student who can't seem to hold a job. Thus far, her job experiences have been met with misfortune.
First Appeared on Gaia- Monday; Jun 22, 2009 with the Midsummer Swirl CI. She became a shopkeeper at Dernier Cri on Thu Oct 1, 2009. On July 22nd, 2010, she started helping Rina with her dream of starting a cupcake shop.
Kanoko was fired by Ivan for not collecting enough Taxes on Summer Swirl. Her second job was at the planetarium and she could be seen floating around in a star suit. Dernier Cri pt2Kanoko is annoyed at her job failures, but goes back to the same post to look at more job flyers. Noticeably the Star Suit and Dark Reflections mirror are seen in a pile of trash. Kanoko spots the ad for Brennivin's shop and quickly changes clothes. As she arrives she is taken by Brennivin's friendly nature, but that quickly changes as Brennivin hires her to work for his shop solely due to her school uniform.
Kanoko and Rina have become fast friends. Kanoko even helps Rina to unload her pies onto the unsuspecting world of Gaia via the 2011 Summer Festival known as Pie Hard.
