Okay, I have some stuff to try to sell and one or two mosins I don't need. With my b-day just around the corner I'm looking to get something.
what do you think would be good to get now/asap a GSG 1911 22, all come with threaded muzzle...possible silencer in future? a Rem 597 vtr, a 22 with a look of a AR...I had a regular 597 some years ago.
the GSG would be about 350, VTR 430 give or take... I am looking for a pinker and I would like to GSG cause I need more handgun practice
thoughts? other suggestions?

The VTR looks retarded. Juuust puttin' that out there. It doesn't look like an AR, it looks like a Thai knockoff AR made out of LEGO blocks by someone who only saw an AR once in a movie last year. I'm sure it's functionally a pretty good gun, just like the standard 597, but IMO, it looks like crap. I'm pretty sure if you want a .22 rifle that looks cool, SIG makes some look-alike SIG556s, the SIG522LR, and GSG makes those MP5 look-alikes, plastic and wood AK look-alikes, and an AR look-alike too.
Also, for a .22LR 1911, SIG and Browning also make one in pretty much the same price range, just FYI. I think GSG makes a good gun, because I've never heard a complaint, but SIG and Browning have been around forever for good reason.

I'm looking at the Ruger 22/45 model 10150, it's a 4.5 bull barrel with it being threaded for 1/2x28. the standard for 22 silencers.

edit: nevermind what I said about raised sights, the 22/45 barrel profile pretty much is about as thick as a suppressor from the start meaning that the sights dont even need to be replaced with taller ones.
mrgreen

DO IT, f*****t. they have one at the local gun store..same color. mrgreen I've been considering what I want to get for a .22 pistol, and I think I'm going to get a Mosquito, since I don't want that weird stick-barrel shape like the Ruger and Buckmark have. I'm seriously debating whether or not I want the pink one, though. xd

Honestly, for the price, I'd go SIG over GSG. The GSG MSRP's at $359, the SIG at $399, and personally, $40 for the SIG name is worth it to me. Wait wait wait wait wait. Hold the ******** phone here... GSG: SIG:
