I’m sailing away, set an open course for the virgin sea.
Cause I’ve got to be free, free to face the life that’s ahead of me.
On board I’m the captain, so climb aboard.
We’ll search for tomorrow on every shore.
And I’ll try, oh Lord I‘ll try, to carry on.
I look to the sea, reflections in the waves spark my memory.
Some happy some sad.
I think of childhood friends and dreams we had.
We live happily forever, so the story goes.
But somehow we missed out, on the pot of gold
But we’ll try, best that we can, to carry on.
These are verses from the song "Come Sail Away" By Styx There is more but this part is what appeals to me most.
They are special to me because I am a wander at heart, I have spent most of my life walking away from or walking to some thing. Time and again I left friends and family looking for something else. It is not an easy life and I would not have chosen to be like this if I had a choice in the matter but it is what I am at heart. Some things just are.
This brings to mind the fact that some people are wiccan at heart while others are christian or budist, ect. at heart, you are what you are and no one can tell you aren't because you didn't need their permission in the first place. What's inside of you is very important and sometimes with some things it simply can not be denied.
What do you all think of this?
