Royal had spent much of the morning with his brother, talking with the male about this that and the other. However slowly, as the day began to drift lazily forward Regal had stated he had matters to attend to and as such had left Royal to his own devices. Royal had slunk off after that so as to avoid general fox interaction.
He had slipped off into the forest, the slight breeze and high trees making it cooler here than out in the open. It was hot as of late and he didn't much care to be burned to a crisp so instead he choose to spend this afternoon tucked in the dense forest. He was padding along softly, making little noise and disturbing almost nothing. He had learned from a young age that plants were important no matter how small and that it was best to try and not step on them. He didn't want to crush any flowers after all, he would feel just dreadful if he did.
He had finally found himself a nice little spot curled up between the roots of a tree. The tree itself was tall and sturdy and provided ample amounts of shade. He settled himself down to await the return of his brother not expecting any other company.

The wind blowing in Zeru's face made him smile. Flying was by far one of his favorite activities, and he'd spent the whole morning high above the trees. But the hours of flying were taking their toll on his wings and the Aejger needed to land. All around him were dense trees, but he folded his wings back, and dove between the branches, unfolding them at the last second before he landed near where Royal had settled himself.
The ground beneath his gloved paws was cool to the touch and welcomed his weight. A short glance around told him he was alone...until he turned and spotted Royal. "Oh! Good morning. I hope I'm not bothering you. I just needed a rest," he said with a gentle tone and smile.

Royal was a bit shocked when someone came fluttering through the trees to land not that far from him. He didn't make a single noise and simply pressed himself in between the trunk of the trees, trying to make himself as small as possible. Upon being spoken to he laid his ears back and shook his head. The noodle in front of him while not insanely huge had the strangest looking tail and wings... he couldn't help but be a touch interested though he wouldn't say that out loud ever. "Um no... no you didn't bother me." He said very softly his body pressed as close into the ground as it could get. "You can rest here all you want... I... I can go... I... I don't want to... um... yes..."

Zeru smiled a little when the other said he wasn't bothering him. He seemed so shy and Zeru thought it was...kind of cute, actually. "No no, you don't have to leave, really. I won't be long." He smiled at him again and wondered if perhaps a little conversation would ease the other Noodle. "It's a beautiful day today, isn't it?" There, that was innocent enough, right? Surely a small question like that wouldn't unease the other further. He hoped anyway. He liked to put others at ease and calm them.

Royal remained pressed into the ground though he allowed his ears to ease forward from the former position. He looked the male over before giving a small nod. "Alright, I just don't want to be a hassle." He stated before looking around at the trees and the sky. He inhaled deeply before giving a small smile not that one could tell it behind the mask. He nodded at first before his eyes drifted back to the male. "It is very lovely. I enjoy days like this. I... I... err... I am... well..." He stopped here, he wasn't sure he wanted to tell the male he was descended from a plant and that he was very in touch with nature... that might... make him sound insane. "I am very close to nature." He figured that sounded better than what he had been about to say. "It's why I am out here. I enjoy... I don't like loud noises or lots of people." He gave a nod before laying his head down on his paws. He was still tense and it was easy to tell he was but at least he wasn't trembling anymore. "Can I ask you why you have such interesting wings and a tail like that? Your tail rather reminds me of a fish tail.... its..." He was about to say cute but he didn't think that would be a good idea so maybe he should go with something like... nice? Well that sounded a bit silly as well. "I like it." There that sounded better than 'cute'. He tucked his nose under his paw and shook his head. He was horrible with people.

He chuckled and bent to take a drink. "How could you be a hassle?" His shark's tail swayed back and forth as he listened to the other male stutter. It was endearing, really, and Zeru smiled as he turned to face him, sitting between Royal and the lake. "I have a friend who can talk to plants. It's rather amusing to watch her in a field of flowers, to see how much she enjoys their company and they hers," he said, wondering if he would find Lahja crazy like the girl's father did. "That's understandable, I find myself preferring the sky to inhabited areas as well."
His ears twitched a little and he smiled. Everyone he'd met asked him about his strange wings and tail. "It's more like a shark's tail, really. I was born with them. I'm of another race, called Aejgers. There are only a few of us here, and I fear I've lost touch with them," he explained easily. "Really? I don't think anyone's ever said they liked them," he said and smiled softly. "Thank you. Ah..might I ask your name? I'm called Zeru."

Royal lifted his head slightly and watched the male with intense eyes for a long moment. "I'm not sure... maybe... I'm not sure." He said softly before inching forward ever so slightly to sniff in his general direction. He was careful to not move from his belly to ground position but he did at least make an effort to not seem like a terrified kit. "Really? That is very interesting. My father, and sisters can speak to plants. I can't exactly speak to them but I can feel them? It's hard to explain. I can feel what they are feeling. It's... nice." He stated with a small smile. Royal took a moment to look at his wings once more. Eyeing them in a rather longingly way. "Yes, it would be grand to just be able to take to the skies when there is too many on the ground."
Royal paid close attention to what the male said. He listened intently and made sure he didn't miss a single bit. He didn't want Zeru to think that he wasn't paying attention or wasn't attentive to what the other male was saying. "Aej-ger-s" He stumbled over the word at first. "I haven't heard of them. But then I suppose that doesn't really come as a surprise." He inched forward a bit more along the ground. "They are very nice, I like things that aren't... traditional I suppose..." He trailed off and then shook his head before looking up at the other in shock. "Oh... you want to know my name?" He asked in amazement before getting to his feet and giving a low sweeping bow. It was something their mother had hammered into their brains from children... how to be polite and introduce thy self in a way their father would be proud of. He was a very proud prince and she had enforced that they live up to his proud nature. "Royal, it is a pleasure Zeru." He stated slowly slipping back to his belly against the grown position. "Forgive me for not introducing myself earlier it slipped my mind. I am getting forgetful it appears."
