o: It's a part of human nature. No one likes to be in pain, be it emotional, physical, or mental. It sometimes can't be avoided though. yum_puddi

Its not that I am afraid of it, its more that I dont like it, now needles on the other hand I am afraid of.

Unless a person gets off on it, it's pretty much natural for us to avoid pain when we can. : P
Pretty much, if you hurt yourself, you put yourself at risk to die. Granted, we have hospitals and medicines and such to patch us up when we do get hurt, but it wasn't always like that, of course.
