The Molga is a caterpillar-type Zoid, created by the PAC.
The Molga is an early Zoid, one of the first created by the PAC. The Zoid was initially designed to be a standard infantry Zoid, supporting other early designs. The Molga's design meant that the Zoid is very well armoured for its size, far more than most other Zoids of its size, as well as allowing the Zoid to burrow into the ground. It also is the only Ground Zoid with an eject, the cockpit capable of five minutes of independant flight. It also carries a SAM launcher, which is normally not found in smaller Zoids, as well as the ability to mount different weapons.
The Molga's weapons are only average, but certainly enough to let it deal with similarly-sized Zoids. However, while the Zoid is fast and well armoured, its maneuverability is poor, and its handling over rough terrain only mediocre. The Molga's overall performance is rather average, the Zoid being designed more for use in large numbers as a massed force, not individually, making it the PAC's basic Light Infantry Zoid.
The Molga is one of the old workhorses of the Coalition military, designed to serve as the standard infantry Zoid as well as support and complement other early designs. Though the Caterpillar-typed Zoid is somewhat small, it’s actually reasonably heavily armored and armed for a Zoid of its class. The armor is slightly above Godos level, which is fairly good for that size. The downside is that the Molga is a bit hard to maneuver with because of its worm-like construction. Rather than legs, the Molga actually has wheels, making piloting the Molga a bit like driving a car. The entire system of movement is a bit different, as are the tactics.
Though it might be a bit of a different system, the Molga is actually a relatively fast Zoid. One of the main problems with it is that most of its firepower is forward-facing, which can make it extremely hard to fight a faster or cunning opponent. Another slight problem is the fact that this a Zoid that really has no business in melee, and close quarters can often be a real problem for the Molga. All in all, though, it was the Molga’s relativeness toughness, heavy weaponry, and all around usefulness that made it the primary choice of infantry for the Coalition.
It should be noted that the Molga is one of the only Zoids used by any faction, that keeps its base weapons when equipping a mod.
