It was late in the evening and the lands of the pride were mostly quiet as the others settled in for the night. She had gone into the empty smaller den inside the larger one that she had found in a corner, but she felt restless and her body and mind refused to relax.
It had also felt incredibly empty in there. In the desert, everything seemed so endless and she had always felt very small in it. However, here, she was incredibly aware of herself in the space that she had found, both in her den and in the pride in general.
She very much felt like wandering, but in the state she was in, she wasn’t sure if she would come back. She had been looking forward to joining this pride, but now she was living a life that she wasn’t used to, and it racked at her nerves and made her think strange thoughts.
Looking upwards, Busara gazed at the night sky in deep thought. The stars were so pretty at the beginning of the night like this, Busara thought. Although, they weren’t as clear and bright as they seemed to be in the desert. Then again, the sky had taken over everything that was not the desert sand, and almost seemed closer that it should have.

Ayumu stalked silently through the large den, heading to it's enterance. In her mind she was imagining a great adventure. In it, she was stalking through the great jungle, looking for the ancient one's lost treasure. Ayumu could imagine every detail of the forest and all of it's smells. She could hear birds chirping in the tree tops and see the moonlight seeping in. When she reached the enterance she snapped back to reality and smiled. She looked around at the outside world, beaming off equal light as the moon. The stars! Oh how I love the stars... Ayumu thought wistfully to herself as she sat down. Then she noticed something, someone just a short distance from her looking up at the same stars. She smiled and walked over to the light lioness. "Hello!" Ayumu said quietly enough that she would not wake those that were asleep already.

Twitching the red tuft at the tip of her tail, Busara began to entertain the idea that she was going crazy. I must be, she thought to herself.
She had wanted this for some time now, and now she just felt like running. She felt inclosed, confined, and trapped. She didn’t know what to do with herself.
Lost in her thoughts, she did not hear the other lioness approaching her. Startled, Busara jumped slightly at the sound of her voice. Mildly irritated with herself, she remembered what could happen in desert when she allowed herself to be surprised like this. Her natural skills were beginning to soften being in this pride.
Standing, Busara looked to see who had managed to seek up on her, albeit unintentionally.
“Oh! Hello there.” It was one of the lioness from the group that she had traveled with to this pride. Her name was.......Ayumu wasn’t it? “What are you doing out so late?” she asked with a smile in her voice.

"I came to look at the stars. They're very inspirational." Ayumu grinned as she looked up at them for a moment, then back down at Busara. "You looked like you were deep in thought. Is something the matter?" The blue lioness gave her a warm smile to hopefully indicate to her that she could freely talk to her about anything without worry that it would be shared with anyone else. "The pride seems to be a very warm and welcoming place." Ayumu looked from the den area to the landscape below, as if she was able to see the pride's daylight hours unfold before her. "It's much more different from the lands that we came from."

"They are, I suppose that's sort of why I'm here as well, I couldn't really sleep," she trailed off. Looking to the other lioness, she said, "Well, yes and no I suppose," she hesitated for a moment. Busara had spent so much time on her own that she hardly ever went to the others when she was bothered by something and sometimes even forgot that there were others around that she could to speak to about her issues. However, compared to survival, her emotional problems had never been something that required immediate attention to her, so she wasn't really used to thinking about herself in that way.
Looking off to the sky, the only thing that reminded her of her previous life with it's endless nature, she voiced her concerns. "I'm just...lonely here," she began, feeling self-conscious as she spoke, "I know that sounds odd with everyone around that lives here, but I feel out of place sometimes and I'm unsure of what to do with myself. I am happy to be here, I just don't know what to do next."
