I've been looking into making tinctures, but I know that with each different herb there is a different way to make the tincture and there are several herbs that are quite bad for you.
Can anyone post some of the tincture recipes they have? Or maybe some good websites. I am having troubles finding a good website, some say what they are, they may have a few recipes and stuff but don't really say how to use it or what it's used for.
Thanks everyone! =D

That's the best one I've found so far! =]

cleaning mixture
So while I can't stomach eating peppermint whatsoever, I find it makes for a good add to cleaning rinses. Now this one I normally use for cleaning cuts I get from dropping my athame (because I'm a clutz) but it also works for cleaning out your tools and offering bowls.
Peppermint - 2 teaspoons Eucalyptus - two leaves crushed Life Everlasting (will have to go to a specialty shop or order online) - half to a full pinch Lemon Balm - 5-9 blades broke in half Water (I prefer bottled but you can use tap as well) Rubber band and cheesecloth small jar or bottle for the finished product
Heat the water until it's to a just hot feel. As it's heating, grind your herbs together in a mortar while you focus on the task at hand. Don't let your mind wander since it will be harder to direct your will into the finished product. Add your herbs directly to the water. Let set as you would a tea. Once it's cooled down, use the rubber band to hold the cheese cloth in place over the jar or bottle you have. Leave a dip in the middle so the herbs can collect. As you pour, focus on how you want the herb-infused water to clean away not only the dirt of what you want gone, but also the energy to make clean and new once more. Bury the herbs wrapped with the cheesecloth in a garden or by a tree. Store the jar in a dark place until you're ready to use it.
It's my major one I use but I have others. I would need to double check the herbs though.

Thank you!!! =]
Do you know where I could buy that Life Everlasting? I always get my herbs from mountain rose herbs, but they don't seem to have it. Also, is there any substituting it for a different herb if I can't seem to get ahold of any?

Luna_Tuna_Bear Thank you!!! =] Do you know where I could buy that Life Everlasting? I always get my herbs from mountain rose herbs, but they don't seem to have it. Also, is there any substituting it for a different herb if I can't seem to get ahold of any? I've always used a place called The Occult Bookstore in Chicago, IL. I believe they will ship but if not, you can omit it from the recipe. It's only a half pinch of the herb so you'll just need to use a little more of the Lemon Balm in its place. I also just made a new batch and changed the recipe according to a couple things that made it easier to make it.
