Maero has always been a creature of the forest, and her smaller stature helps with moving through the foliage. (If someone were to tease her on the lack of height, she'd probably just smirk and then beat them up)

As a child she was very much her younger brother's keeper, but when a horrible accident involving a snare left her throat badly torn and damaged, it was actually Valgus who saved her.

This injury has left her with an inability to speak, or at least speak well. She might also find it harder to breathe from time to time, and this has caused her to be much more of a stealth fighter.

She's also become disconnected from herself and her own kind, and is quite feral. Her relationship with her brother has also changed, she still attempts to watch over him, but if he pushes back on her for her mothering, she'll often just disappear for awhile. After all, the roles were reversed when it mattered.

As of now her and her brother roam the same forest, always relatively close, but living separate lives in completely different ways.

Born to a powerful mother, she learned early to have a healthy fear and respect for magic. She sees it as a huge responsibility as well as a tool, and thinks that there are many Coeurl that shouldn't be able to cast at all.

Her family structure was very rigid in their rules, but not without love. She still goes to visit her mother from time to time, for advice and guidance. And her sister? Well, they don't speak on that.
