Kayleigh's Point of View: Kayleigh is the typical 18 year old girl who is ready for college to start in a few months. She is very smart and has a good head on her shoulders. But when she meets a dark and very sexy stranger, all of her plans and ambitions fall away for the time being. Not only that, but the mystery man's brother is trying to get her too, but for a different reason. Who will she choose? Or, will she ignore them both and do what she originally planned?
Maikon's Point of View: Maikon is a very established vampire king of England, who came to America in search for his soul mate. He believes that a high school girl named Kayleigh is the one. He wants nothing more than to take her home and make her his queen, and hopefully have a child. It is very rare for vampires and humans to mate, much less have children. Most vampires are sterile, but not Maikon or his brother. And having one of the few hybrid children would be a wonderful advance in vampire/human science. Maikon really does love Kayleigh, and will not care if they have children or not. He just hopes she will give him a chance and stay away from Raynor.
Raynor's Point of View: Raynor is Maikon's brother who is the 'duke' of the vampire world as far as England is concerned. He is not searching for his mate, as many vampires do. He only wishes to find an acceptable human for his breeding purposes. Raynor is very jealous of Maikon and his rule over the kingdom. Raynor wants it all for himself. But it is going to be very hard to overthrow him. Which is why Raynor is in search of a human who is able to conceive a hybrid child, who Raynor will use to create an army of powerful hybrids to take the throne. But Maikon has no idea of this plan, or the planned treason. Which is why he dumbly informed Raynor of where he was going and why. Raynor is trying to win Kayleigh's affections in secret, so that she will choose him as her love.
