Kalile slowly came around, waking to a dull throbbing in the back of her head. She didn't really pay it any attention, though. It was normal for it to feel like that, right? No, maybe not. She wasn't really sure.
Opening her eyes, a dark world illuminated by the moon greeted her. It was... Night? Looking around, she saw she was lying against something thick and tall. A tree. The world seemed kinda... Blurry, though, and she couldn't make out much else.
Who was she again? Ka... Kalile! Yeah, that was what she was called. Kalile...
She didn't really know what good knowing what she was called was, though... Was she alone or were there others? She had the feeling there were others like her, but for some reason she also had the vague notion most of them didn't really like her. She didn't remember why, though.
Gathering her legs under her, she tried to stand. Quickly she fell though, slipping on something sticky beneath her. It smelled tangy, and some instinct in the back of her mind told her that she should be... Scared of it? No... More like scared of what it meant.
"Uggggh."

What gave Victor the idea to go out into the woods, he couldn't point out. Sure, he normally would make a habit to go out and explore to better be aware of his surroundings, but he couldn't shake off the urgent vibe that pulsed though his body, that something was wrong. Not to mention that it was clearly nighttime, the sounds ringing through the air the only sure way he knew of it.
He froze up at the sound of a moan, turning his head in the direction it had come. He tried to push aside childish fears, his voice coming as strong as he hoped he was,
"Who's there?"
He wouldn't wait for a reply before heading in the direction, but after a few steps he realized it was best to determine how far he was going. He hoped this choice wouldn't be the wrong one.

A voice...? Should she try to hide? No, she didn't know if she could move far enough, and she wasn't entirely sure if there was a good place to hide anyway. Panic started to bubble up inside Kalile as she remembered the feeling that everybody else despised her... Should she hope whoever it was didn't find her?
But then again, what if they could help?
Torn between the two but knowing that she probably needed help, Kalile rasped as loudly as she could mange. "Help...!" It wasn't much louder than mumbling and it made her head throb a little worse, but it was something. Although she wasn't sure if she had answered the voice's question or not... Honestly she wasn't sure if she could answer it's question!

The quiet tone of her reply made a lump form in his throat, and he made a beeline for the sound of her voice. It wasn't until he came in contact with fur that he knew he was close, and he quickly scrambled a few steps back, stepping right into the same mess that she had slipped in earlier and tensing up.
"You're hurt... can you walk?"
His voice was heavy with concern, something that not even he could hide when he just... felt how wrong things were. He offered a paw carefully, not sure if he should try something because, without knowing her condition, he could be making the gesture to an unconscious noodle. The thought made his neckfur stand on end.
"...You'll have to let me know what hurts... I can't exactly see for myself."
The last bit was barely above a murmur, but held no contempt. He'd felt the need to share this information, so she wouldn't catch him off-guard with a stumble.

A large, dark mass entered the small field of vision Kalile had; and until it spoke she was worried she had made some kind of mistake by asking for help. Could she walk? She wasn't entirely sure... "I don't... I don't know."
Still, she took the offered paw and slowly tried to stand, leaning against the tree behind her when she was finally on her feet. A few moments later and her head suddenly felt even dizzier and like a large rock had fallen on it.
"My... Head..." She managed to gasp.
So he couldn't see much either...! Strangely, that made her feel... Safer.

Victor never knew someone like him could be so quick, and in a heartbeat he was holding her up, despite the fact she was using the tree for support.
"It might be a little rough, but... I could carry you, if needed."
He had to be out of his mind, offering his help to someone he barely knew, but his parents hadn't raised him to be negligent to others. Carefully, he guided her to take a few steps, just to determine how well she could walk with his support.
"Bear with me a minute..."
Not once had Victor been stressed about his eyesight, but today so far was proving one of those days. If only he could see what was wrong...

Slowly and gingerly she shifted her weight away from the tree and onto Victor. "Th...Thanks..." she mumbled, head cloudy and extremely dizzy.
She felt him carefully urge her to take a few steps. Stumbling and almost tripping over her own paws, Kalile had to force down the bile that rose in her throat. It was a relief when those first few steps were over.
It'd be over soon... She'd get her head fixed or something soon... The thoughts slowly creeped across her mind, over and over again.
"O...Okay..."

He hesitated after that point, not wanting to push her if he didn't have to.
"We aren't far from somewhere you can get patched up, if you can manage it... can you?"
The tone in his voice was gentle, in no rush to get her moving just yet. She had stumbled, that had set off an alarm, but it most likely meant it was her head and body rather than her limbs.
"What's your name...?"
Small talk, he thought, might make the going easier as he proceeded to lift her onto his back. He was careful, more so than usual, in lifting her up, knowing he would need his paws free to navigate by touch and not wanting her to slide if she went unconscious.
