"....dammit..."
Super Sailor Kallichore had not seen her life flash before her eyes before. She often imagined what it may be like based on movies she'd seen or books she'd read. She thought that maybe there would be scenes of past events playing before her in lightning fast increments, or maybe that she would feel warm and reminisce about all the good times she'd had. She was wrong. The youma she'd taken out was a great deal more powerful than the arrogant senshi and had chased her up one of the high towers in Destiny City. The beast was lanky, tall and incredibly swift - almost like a rail thin humanoid with incredible reflexes and a good three or four feet on the average person. It had thrown the senshi through a window and into the small restaurant, sending her flying across glass and overturning a table. Her shriek was incredible.
Laying in a pile of fuku, sweat and fear, Kallichore tried to hide behind the bar in the back of the restaurant for a vantage point, but the youma must've known she was there. She could hear it purposefully stepping on the glass, hearing the distinctive crunch of it beneath the youma's small webbed feet. Its laughter was distorted, high-pitched and lilting. From what she saw, it was covered in coarse hair almost like bristles, and it was a very dark green. Elongated claws punctuated its hands and feet yet it seemed to prefer to toss its prey around rather than shred it.
Kallichore braced herself for another impact and could feel the warmth of blood flowing from a cut she'd received on her shoulder. Wonderful. Gripping it with one bare hand, the senshi pressed herself against the underside of the bar and tried to force her brain to come up with a solution to this. Before she could do anything, a clawed hand reached over the bar and grabbed her by the collarbone. Another shriek escaped her without her even wanting so. She could only kick at its elbow and face when either got close enough, feeling the wind being slowly crushed out of her.

The Eternal Senshi of Danger almost heard the shrieking before he felt the signature aura of another senshi nearby. He could feel that it was stronger than normal and, though he couldn't distinguish one senshi from any other, he did get the sense that this one was at the very least not a newbie. It felt stronger, as they often did, and he imagined he was going to find someone who should know what they were doing by now.
He was already mentally prepping himself for some mocking, eye rolling and cutting remarks.
Approaching the bar, he noticed the smashed window. The youma must have followed through it, as almost all the glass had been shattered and fell out of the bracing. It was no longer a senshi shaped hole, at least. It wasn't difficult to spot the youma after that: the thing was big. And looked mean.
Chaonis grinned. He always liked a good fight.
"Hey ugly, I don't think you're old enough to drink," he called to it, seeing it approaching the bar. The Senshi must have been hiding in there. And he was proven correct as the youma grabbed her and pulled her into view. The Eternal senshi lunged forward, drawing his fist back and swinging low a cutting arch that slammed his fist into the youma's side. He estimated it to be similar to a kidney shot, but who knew if youma actually had kidneys?
Let alone where they kept them.

Kallichore had little time to react to the presence of someone else before she was tossed to the floor. The impact on the youma's body made it contort like a rubber band around the eternal senshi's fist and it flew into the back wall with a tremendous amount of force. It shrieked, almost as if laughing and bounced back up onto the bar top to stare back down at them. The youma towered over the senshi and had to bend over because the ceiling was so low. Not that it seemed to mind. A wide, slasher grin crept across its face and it cackled gleefully. Did the punch even do any damage to the damned thing?
The super senshi took this opportunity to get back into her feet. Maybe now the eternal, who looked like he ran through several police barricades without a care in the world, would understand how much trouble she'd been having with the damned thing. Everything she threw at it simply bounced off, like the youma was made of elastic or something. Kallichore snorted at it when it started to cackle. "Thanks for your help." The super senshi winced a bit from the fall, but nevertheless felt she had something to prove to the senshi next to her. Was he... an eternal?
.....were those wings plastic?
Kallichore had no time to ponder it before the youma sprung into action again, latching onto the ceiling and skittering out the window. She spat under her breath. "God damned son of a..." A few choice expletives. Damn this was embarrassing and a pain in the a** at the same time.

Chaonis watched the youma keenly, not liking too much that his awesome punch hadn't seemed to affect the thing. Some youma were made solely to annoy him, he had decided some time ago. This one was clearly one of those. He growled at it, resolving to wipe that grin, if that indeed what it was, right off its face.
Maybe by removing its head.
He ignored the thank you, though he offered her an arm to climb to her feet with. He'd brace her but not help her directly. Staring at the youma, he growled softly as it skittered away.
"Well, we're not going to let it get far. Can you run?" He looked at her, noticing she looked like she was in pain and that she might not keep up with him. So he grabbed her, hauled her onto his back, and took off after the youma with her as his hostage. She started this fight, he wasn't about to pick it up and let her slack off.
And he wasn't going to let her slow him down.
Once they were outside, he looked around to see where the youma had gone. It wasn't hard to spot, at least.

The super senshi could tell this guy in plastic was pissed. She wouldn't have guessed he was a senshi at all if it weren't for his energy signature. He looked more like a teen that had gone through his older brother's hockey equipment and then decided to take on the evil of the world using caution tape as an accessory. Kallichore wasn't one to judge though because she'd been called a hobo or a mess on more than one occasion. One did not choose one's fuku.
"Yes, I can run just--- HEY!" Before she could say anything else, Kallichore was taken hostage by someone much stronger than her and hauled up onto his back. "If you're going to run away with me, I'd like some dinner first! Or maybe a name!" While it was true that she could run, how fast she could keep up was another question entirely. The glass had cut her up pretty well but most of the wounds seemed nothing more than superficial. It was the bruising that would get to her eventually. She hadn't ever taken on a youma she couldn't handle by herself, but there was always a first time for everything.
The youma was quickly crawling up an outside railing towards the very peak of the tower. Kallichore pointed in its direction. The spindly thing yelped in response and sped off, long limbs making it look like a spider as it ascended. "I bet it's trying to escape from up there. You can see the whole city from the top of this tower..." She growled at her own uselessness, but had an idea. "Look, I don't know what your attack is, but if I can hit it, I think I can slow it down long enough for you to do some serious damage, if not outright kill it. Do you have a gun on hand?"
Ah, dry humor.

"What, you didn't eat? We were just at the restaurant, I'm not going back. We'll have to wait for the second date," he quipped back, though he was still feeling very serious about hunting the youma and smashing its face in.
He followed the line of her pointing and zeroed his gaze in on the youma hanging from the tower. it was a real ugly son of a b***h, but it was not enough to intimidate the senshi of danger. In fact, he lived for this kind of stuff.
The stronger looking the better, as far as he was concerned. Youma were just punching bags anyway: one couldn't really do any damage to him, unless he was stupid and deserved it. They were the lowest of the low, and he hated them.
"No gun, but probably something just as useful."
Probably, as he wasn't sure what his attacks did any more. He had lost some control in the power up, and he was more dangerous than ever to work with. But if they needed it, he would provide them with his attack. For now, he was content to punch the thing as much as possible.
"You get it to follow you, and I'll introduce it to my two best friends." He put her down, motioning with his fist. She was the best bait, anyway, as she was already hurt. Duh.

So she got a retort, but no name. Lovely. In her mind, she relegated this boy to be Eternal Sailor Plastic a**, because she had to come up with something while she was being dragged around like a rag doll. At least he sort of had a sense of humor. Dropping off of his back, Kallichore surveyed the surrounding area as the youma ascended the tower. Looking straight up gave her an idea of its intended path, but they'd have to find another way up. She turned to look over her shoulder. How would other people get higher up the tower? It's a tourist spot - they have to have... oh! Right there! Neatly tucked away behind the restaurant was an elevator. With the tower being closed, there was no power to light up the display sign indicating where it was, but in the moonlight, it could partially be seen.
And where there's a elevator, there are stairs in case of fire.
"Alright, follow me. I'll distract it, and you do what you do. Hopefully it'll be enough to take this damned thing out." Taking off at the best jog she could muster, Kallichore turned the corner to show ESPA (harr harr) where she was headed. The stairs were a three story climb, but it would be the only way up with the power being out. They weren't steep, but winded in on themselves in a spiral at they coasted upwards. Kallichore cursed under her breath as she closed in on the top, tired not only from running around previously, but from chasing and being chased by a youma. Sometimes she wondered why she liked this job so much.
She leaned against the railing to catch her breath. "You still there?" she called back down the staircase, keeping an eye out for the youma. She could hear it cackling somewhere up on the platform, but couldn't see it. The platform atop the tower was metal and circular, with railing all around the edges. There were signs scattered here and there around the perimeter, no doubt with information about landmarks in the city that could be seen from this height, but also safety warnings, like not to lean on the railing. Kallichore idly wondered how many people had fallen from this height before.

The Senshi of Danger nodded his head.
He followed after her, though he wasn't usually one for following anyone, in any sense of the term. Following orders, literally letting someone guide him some where: not his bag of tea. But there were times when he needed to let people do their thing, so he could do his. At the moment, now was one of those times.
He hurried up the stairs after her, at least fit enough to run around like this without getting himself too out of breath. And he hadn't been fighting the youma for a while before hand. And he wasn't hurt at the moment, so that all helped considerably.
With the youma nearby again, he grinned. This was going to be interesting. He had used his attacks while on roofs before, but that hadn't gone too well before. Still, that wasn't a good enough reason to not try it again, right? Or maybe he could find a smarter way to do things. He didn't waste time thinking about it: whatever impulse took him would be his course of action. Planning ahead was not his thing.
"Yeah, still here," he grinned, giving her a thumbs up. "Stairs too much for you? Try not to pass out on me. Though, I guess that would make you even better for bait." He punched his fist into his hand.
"Let's get this s**t done, huh? Go and drag it somewhere near the edge, and I'll surprise it." He made it sound easy.

Did he seriously tell me I was a damsel in distress? Like, seriously? He of the Plastic Asswings?
Kallichore leaned over as if to catch her breath, trying to quell the impulse of jumping him and smacking him around right then and there. But where were her manners? She did have him to thank for saving her. Still, he didn't have to be such an a** about it. Once she was ready, Kallichore trotted out from the stairwell and to the center of the platform. Bring the youma to the edge? Without knowing what this guy's sphere was (or even his damned name) she had no idea what dragging a youma to the edge of a building would do, save for allow gravity to do a lot of work for them.
The youma skittered around above them somewhere, for the tower had a ceiling of sorts - metal beams that crisscrossed each other to resemble a dome, but lacked any material between them. Likely, the whole pseudo-dome was just for show. In the moonlight, Kallichore's eyes could catch faint glimpses of the youma as it moved from beam to beam, long arms and legs bearing a striking resemblance to spindles. As she neared the edge of the platform, the youma seemed to descend on her and forget all about Chaonis, who was waiting in the wings. She started to step backwards slower and slower, watching as the youma dropped down onto the platform and lunge forward.
As per the plan, she couldn't move, or at least couldn't get too far from the railing. Looking over to Chaonis, she watched and waited for him to do something. And he better do it soon!

Chaonis watched her as she drew the monster towards her, just as 'planned'. Well, that was as far as he had gotten, really, but why not just run with it?
Things he knew:
His attacks both had something to do with earthquakes and a fair amount of unpredictability, made even more potent with his recent power up. He was struggling with control, and he needed to prove himself, to himself, a bit more before he felt comfortable really using his attacks in a situation like this.
And that whole 'doesn't know his third move thing' probably factored into his hesitance to use any of them. But he wasn't going to admit that. It was all a matter of pride. Too proud to admit he was unsure of himself. Too proud to admit he wasn't as awesome as he insisted he was. Too proud to seek help of any kind.
But not too proud to throw himself feet first into the side of a youma.
The thing slammed into the railing just near Kallichore, taking out the structure and falling from the roof. It took half the platform with it, likely including where the female senshi was standing, and Chaonis went over with it in the midst of his attack.
But hey, it was a long fall, maybe they could all catch hold of something. Chaonis reached out to do that, grabbing onto a railing along the side of the building. The youma, unfortunately, had a similar idea except it chose to attach itself to Chaonis himself.
"Uggh, too heavy!" The senshi of danger complained, though he wasn't sure what happened to the senshi he was 'helping'.

It was like the events unfolded in super slow motion. Mr. Plastic a** went flying, feet first, into the youma. This seemed like a good idea for a fraction of a second, and Kallichore wondered why he didn't just fire off his attack. Is that what eternal senshi did? But that fraction of a second was gone, and Chaonis when sailing over the rails that held the public back from gravity. Horrified, Kallichore felt her end of the platform give way and she slid into what was left of the railing and a support pillar. The sudden grasp of gravity made her shriek and slam down into solid ground, her heart pounding like a jackhammer.
Clawing herself upright, she scrambled to the edge of what was left of the platform to grab onto part of his fuku and pull him up, but it was no use - the youma had attached itself to his legs and made him much too heavy to pull. Even by himself it would have been a stretch, but now it was close to impossible. Try as he might, the eternal senshi couldn't shake the youma now scrambling up the human ladder to get back onto solid ground.
Kallichore thought herself entirely too lucky - first, he shows up and rescues her from near death and then he goes to execute their plan, only to nearly kill all three of them. She managed to dig her fingers into part of a plate on Chaonis' fuku, but even that leveraged with her legs pushing against a support pillar did nothing. She made sure he could still hold himself to the building before she stood up, taking aim at the slowly ascending youma. It may have been able to kill him in his prone state, which was something she would never be able to live with. "You're going to have to forgive me for this one!" she shouted, placing her hands over her eyes.
"Surge of the Maddened!" came her attack, calling up so much near-translucent mist that flew downwards towards the two hanging targets. Kallichore made sure to try and aim during Chaonis' forward swing so the youma would take the brunt of the attack, but she doubted Chaonis would escape completely unharmed by it. It was a risk they had to take. Once the attack was absorbed into the youma, it began to claw wildly at things only it could see and before long, lost its grip on the eternal senshi. Before long, it was gone, flying into the depths of night, never to be seen again. Kallichore latched onto whatever she could to pull the eternal senshi back up.

Ah, gravity. Chaonis' long time rival, often getting in the way of his perfectly awesome plans. But not this time, he hoped: he had almost planned for it.
Almost, as he never actually planned too far in advance. He was more of a 'get an idea and run with it no matter what' kind of guy.
As it stood, that impulse driven fighting style had taken him sailing over the rail with youma and senshi, and half the platform, in tow. Whoops. He had reached up to grab onto something, self preservation certainly part of the deal, hoping that the youma would just fall to its death while he and the other senshi avoided that same fate. The youma was not playing along.
Still complaining about how heavy it was and how not happy he was, Chaonis felt her grab hold of his plated fuku and try to pull him up. But even with her boosted strength he doubted she would be able to haul him and the clinging, impersonal youma up. It was crawling its way up the senshi of danger, which he certainly did not approve of.
It felt very creepy.
"What was that?" he called up, but he was certainly distracted when Kallichore's attack hit him and filled his head. He very nearly let go of the building himself and followed after the youma, but he only got a light dose, as it were, and was able to hold on until she had pulled him back onto the roof.
"What the <********>?!"

"Are you okay? Can you hear me?"
Once he was dragged up onto solid ground, Kallichore went to tending to the eternal senshi. She didn't want to hit him with her attack, a light dose or otherwise, but the situation called for it. Hopefully he only got a very small portion of it and he wasn't busy hallucinating something incredibly creepy. They'd gotten rid of the youma and no one was dead. That was the most important thing, wasn't it? She tried to hold his face close to hers to explain what was going on. She wanted to make sure the eternal wasn't in shock and wasn't so scared that he might pose a danger to himself.
"Listen to me, okay? I don't know how much of the attack you got, but it'll wear off in half a minute. You just have to ignore it until then. Okay?" Kallichore really was concerned for the young man - he'd saved her life and the last thing she wanted was for something to happen to him. She was taking this very seriously since she had no idea if he was seeing things, hearing things or both. Giving him a lifeline to sanity was the best thing she could do, given the circumstances. "Can you tell me what's going on? Is it bad?"

Chaonis gripped his head, grimacing and shaking it furiously for a bit as if to get the images out that way. They weren't over powering: he could at least distinguish that they were, in fact, a product of an attack and he didn't lose himself to it all.
But it was still unpleasant.
"Yeah, it's ******** bad!" He snapped, keeping his hands on his head.
Chaonis was never a happy camper when things didn't go his way. He didn't like being embarrassed and he certainly did not like being made to look stupid. Or feel it. At the moment, he was feeling very stupid and very embarrassed, and he had someone he could blame it on. It was her attack, after all, and she the seconds ticked by and the images began to fade, he opened his dark eyes and fixed her a withering glare.
"What the hell was that?! You know what I didn't do? I didn't use my attack because I didn't want to put you in danger. The fact that I'm the nice guy in this ******** situation is ridiculous. What were you thinking?! And what the hell was all that?"

Kallichore was flabbergasted at his reaction. Sure, seeing and hearing things that weren't there generally made people upset, but it made the youma let go of Ol' Mr. Plastic a**, which was the point. Why was he missing this and thinking she hit him on purpose?
"What the hell was that? That was called Operation: Make the Youma Let Go. Unless you'd have preferred that I climbed down onto your ankles myself and started beating on it. I thought it was too heavy for you? So I tried not to hit you with it and got it to let go! I don't exactly carry guns or pepper spray with me!" The madness senshi was frustrated and stood up, turning around to tell herself to calm down. There was no use getting mad at him - after something freakish happens, people are generally upset. He did save her life and she saved his, so why couldn't it be left at that. Pinching the bridge of her nose, Kallichore took several deep breaths.
"Look, I'm really sorry I hit you with the attack. I wasn't aiming for you, and I'm just glad you're alright. Okay?" came an even reply. Chaonis could probably tell her voice was shaking a bit in an effort to keep calm and not have another unpleasant emotional outburst. "Can we call it even?"
