As a Vizier's daughter, Mitra had every right to the prideful walk she exhibited, and yet, as a new Banu, she felt that she had finally earned it. She fell a half-step behind Kame'bufuu, her light paws kicking up dust with each step.

Where most Banu had displayed fear upon entering an already established harem, Mitra flashed confidence. They just had to like her. Kame wouldn't have brought her in if there had been any doubts. Of that she was sure of. "So...are we surprising them, or was this preconceived?" Mitra teased.

Her girlish side was squeeing. Could it have been possible that he'd been thinking of her when she had been thinking of him? And even have shared some if it with his Banu? She hoped that was the case. It would be so much more pleasant to already have them expecting her then the 'Surprise!' option.

Kame felt a little bit like a big man right now, a refreshed sense of youth in him although his joints were attempting to tell him otherwise. Mitra had been passed on to him, and though he did not like to think he owned her in this pride he did. She was now his, and he was pleased with it. A confident lioness instilled with the ways of old in her every fiber. He missed that concept. She reminded him of his sister, although his sister was far more gruff and not nearly as feminine.

Mitra's words made his ears twitch a tad. He had not even explained to her that he expected her to speak honestly and freely with him and she already was. Not that he minded.

"Now that you are with us, I can speak more freely, as can you. I had spoken with Kinaya and Tai about seeking out another before. In the utmost honesty, Mitra, I had not expected you. You could say you caught me off guard in surprisingly pleasant ways," He explained.

"I let them know my interest for you, as I could never just bring a stranger into our home out of the blue. It'd be disrespectful to their feelings, and I would not want any animosity to erupt. It'd only hurt the children. They trust me, though. I am sure they will grow fond of you as I have," Kame said reassuringly, thought he wasn't sure if it was for himself or her. There was only so much he could tell Kinaya and Tai about Mitra. They were still getting to know each other too, after all.

"The children, I am not sure of though. Not the youngest, but the eldest. They may be a little apprehensive." He said quietly.

User Image Kinaya had heard very little of the female her mate was considering bringing into their home. Kame was a little fuzzy, excuse the pun, on whether or not he had really wanted to do it. He was getting older and adding a third female to their slightly established family would be a huge change on both sides.

Their youngest cubs - a litter of 8 - were barely three months old and might not understand why there was a new female living with them, even if they were told it, the full meaning might not become clear till they were older. But they were also more likely to be accepting of change now. The older cubs, another litter of 8, would have a tougher time, but they were a good bunch and would probably accept this new female decently well if she were brought home. And Kinaya had every confidence that should Kame'bufuu decide to go after another mate, he would most likely bring her home and happily so.

The little ones were napping, having spent a good part of the morning running all over and playing and doing cub things. Tai had gone out with some of their older siblings to arrange the family's dinner and whatnot, while Kinaya dealt with corralling the babies. They had finally all gone down, for the time being, but they would be up again later. Still, this left the pink lioness at least a little time to go wait at the mouth of the cave for Kame to come home.

When she spotted a lovely blue lioness behind him, her face lit up and she darted out to say hello. "Welcome home!" she called in that cheery voice of hers, waving to Mitra, "Hello there!"
