The long dusty road that one takes from the Gates of Saieth to the Desert Land of Merseyr end at a set of creaky black ornate gates. The gates allow entrance through a sand stone wall into a tunnel lit with torches that somehow never seem to go out or need to be replenished. Even with the torches the tunnel leaves the people who walk through it with a foreboding feeling that the desert beyond this tunnel is not meant for people of light heart or without some sense of ruthlessness and a need to do anything to survive.
