Backstory: Valentine was born into a family consisting of two siblings and her own parents both of whom came from humble origin. As a child, she was smothered with love and affection by her parents, that was, until her siblings were born and suddenly more attention was distributed on the newborns. At this time, Valentine noticed a change in her parents' attitudes towards her. The least they did was speak to her and they fed her enough for her to get by., but what Valentine coveted most for was simply the attention and love from her parents. Years passed by until she realized that her yearning would not grant her wish and she would always be the one receiving the least. Valentine was at the ripe age of sixteen when she first fell in love with a man who had the most beautiful green eyes. Little did she know that the road ahead of her would be a grim one stained bright red.
lolThe man went by the name of James Milton and he was certainly a kind man who actually cared enough to say hello to her. Unfortunately for Valentine, the man was not romantically interested in her and instead, his eyes were set on her younger sister, Evangelina. Her heart was crushed, though malice quickly replaced it. The night that James had secured her sister’s hand in marriage was one night Valentine wouldn’t forget. Valentine's sheepish smile transfigured to a twist of scorn. The result was slaughter of her own family.
lolThe jealousy was overwhelming for Valentine could not forgive her sister for stealing away the one person who made her happy. That dreadful night, Valentine had carried with her a heavy butcher’s knife her father used for slaughtering cows into her sister’s bedroom where she quietly loomed over her sister’s breathing body. The act was soundless, for Valentine had become so experienced with the slaughter of bovine creatures that a human was no different. It was James who found the family dead sans Valentine who was stained in blood, clutching her sister’s severed head. Deemed as being mentally ill, she was captured and locked in Bethlehem Royal Hospital for the insane. She never heard or saw James Milton again.
lolValentine was crushed not only in body and mind, but also in her heart. It was the first time she had received kindness from anyone. She loved him, but he didn’t want her. After undergoing various “treatments,” Valentine had given up on living seeing as there was no fruit to life. A strange twist of fate however, allowed her to meet Kiel Ebons, a man who possessed such a gentle smile and beautiful eyes that rivaled James’. No, Kiel’s eyes were different and somehow...not human just like his cold touch that strangely radiated warmth. It didn't matter to Valentine; they were
better.
Recent History: A few years had passed since her fateful encounter with Kiel and she had already grown attached to him. "Franziska is quite fitting," Kiel had murmured, and with a bell-like laugh, Valentine became Franziska. Not only were they married but, they were also leading a fine life that Franziska savored. Franziska’s new life with Kiel was certainly a dream come true. Franziska works as a governess whilst Kiel continues his simultaneous jobs as a doctor and a shinigami, working in the shadows of England.
