After years of patronizing, working at and all around loving Borders bookstore, they unfortunately have gone bankrupt and are in the process of shutting down their remaining 400 stores.
This has greatly saddened me... emo
So my question to my fellow bibliophiles is; Do you choose to read books in their classic papery goodness? Or do you opt to simply download and enjoy through ebooks? And for those who do buy physical copies, do you go to a store for your needs or buy off sites like Amazon?
I'd genuinely like to know, because I'm a little hurt by this. o n o

That sucks! That was one of the only bookstores that was "close" that actually sold the books I like to read. emo
I prefer the real, physical, ink and paper, Book! Reading any other way just isn't the same! I'm not an online shopper, so going to the stores is the only way to go for me.
Which now makes things a bit more difficult! sweatdrop

You feel my pain! And yes, reading just isn't the same without a real book in your hand. 3
Well if you have the money, everything is going on sale, so you can pick up a few of the books you like for cheap. o u o

I had found this upsetting. I used my gift cards the chance I could.
I'm really hoping someone will buy the company and keep them moving.

A lot of people have been doing the same thing with the giftcards and reward points. o n o
And Borders has been in talks with multiple companies for..... I wanna say the past 4 years? Everyone that was interested only wanted to liquidate the assets as soon as the company was acquired and HQ didn't want that. So now the company is SOL and there's nothing that anyone can do. 3
What gets me is how Books-A-Million is still in business. scream
