Guys, doesn't it feel rather anti-climatic that we never found out what happened to Zuko's mom?
Assumption 1:
When she found out that Firelord Azulon wanted to have Zuko killed to teach Ozai a lesson, she probably killed him or influenced a certain chain of events which led to his death. Remember she abruptly fled the Fire Nation and we found out that Azulon's dead the next day?
Also, Ozai said that she was treacherous hence she fled when Zuko confronted him during the eclipse.
P.S. I do hope that they'll enlighten us in the Legend of Korra! Otherwise, a spin-off would be fantastic!

Fingers crossed it's somewhere explained in Legend of Korra. If not . . . There's going to be a major hole in such a ominous mystery . . .

i love a good mystery but this ones a head spinner i do hope that they tell us in korra. if not BOOO korra better be exciting fer only 26 episodes

They're making a comic about it called "The Search". I don't know the release date, sadly.
