Quote:
The Akasha is said to be the library of all events and responses concerning consciousness in all realities. Every lifeform therefore contributes and has access to the Akashic Records. It is asserted that to gain access into the Akashic Records, every individual human can become the physical medium, and various techniques and spiritual disciplines (e.g., yogic, pranayama, meditation, prayer, visualization) can be employed to quiet the mind, become a "witness", and achieve the focused, preconscious state necessary to access the Records.

While accessing the Akashic Records, both the events and responses are said to be perceived. This is analogous to having a meta-enhanced cinematic experience. When accessing the future, the events are known, but the responses are only probable. Based on an individual's responses in the past, the Akashic seer/reader can investigate probable future responses and give the highest future probability. A simple illustration of this might be witnessing several alternate endings to the main characters in a movie (e.g., Run, Lola, Run). At some point in the evolution of the Akashic reader, however, a state of unification and awareness can be achieved whereby even the future responses are known with absolute clarity instead of only as a probability. This month Dishnetwork is letting us have National Geographic free, so I have been watching a lot of that, and there have already been a couple shows about Atlantis and Gobekli Tepe and the like. There are so many questions that mankind has, and so many things that mankind does not know or understand. But, apparently, all one has to do is enter this library and find the answer. Obviously it's meant to be a difficult thing to achieve, but the point is that it is possible.

- Do you believe that there exists such a thing as this hall of records? Do you believe it to be the Akashic Records, or does your particular path have a similar thing that goes by a different name? (edit: I thought the way I worded this earlier sounded offensive for some reason.)

- Or do you think it's all fake; some idea thought up because mankind could not handle the fact that there were some things that just could not be known?

- For a second, let's say it is 100% real; would you ever try to reach this place, or are some things better left alone?

I had this whole deep discussion on the Akashic Records with a guy who was Hindu and he talked a lot about how the Theosophists kind of messed up the whole message of the vedic school they took that from.

I didn't really know what to think about it so I did some more research and after reading about the origins of the idea and the Vedic school of thought it came from- I can understand what he means.

If it was real- I wouldn't actively look for it, but if I had access I wouldn't complain either. I think knowledge is a neutral thing- and it's how people use it that matters.

I've never heard of these Akashic Records, but now I'm intrigued. :3

If I had to pick one, I'd be more inclined to say it's a "universal collectiveness", or however, not the mind of any supreme being. Any more, I'm not sure that soft of a polytheism is probable considering all the different deities that these billions of people worship.

I agree with Riri. I don't think I'd actively go looking for it, mostly because there's nothing that I really need to know. Things of the past that aren't already recorded in history books don't really need to be considered, and I'm of the opinion that the future needs to be actively built. When people ask me questions of their future, I'm reluctant to say, because the knowledge of what one might do, or what might happen, directly effects the way the person will think and react to that situation when the time comes. Even if they are consciously attempting to change this reaction, just knowing that they could have done it one way makes it likely they will.

Would I complain if I did have access? No, probably not. But I'd keep the knowledge to myself.

Interesting, thought I'm not surprised. Do you happen to have any of the sites or sources that might better explain what it's really all about then? I'd much rather know what's really going on than read it from some site that has things out of context.

My other lappy died- if I can pull stuff from it next week I'll send it to you in a PM or I can post it here.

I've heard of it before. I don't know whether it's real or not...
But even if it is, I can't think of anything I'd want to find out. As much as I hate surprises, I don't mind being patient and waiting to find out.

My mom and I got into a conversation about the Akashik records the other day. She doesn't believe that a place like that does, or even could, exist. The fact that I'm a knowlege seeker by nature alone causes the Akashik records to spark my interest as i'm more open to the possibility of its existance myself, but like people have stated previously, I wouldn't actively look for it. It would most certainly be interesting to have access to such a place, and if I did I wouldn't be complaining.
