It had been a long time since the senshi of hail had seen the senshi of illusions. Or had that been an illusion of itself. if it was, Castor's mind would have been blown at her skills, but sitting on the top on the downtown complex, he was pretty sure that wasn't the case. Perseus was pretty sensible girl, and more then that, she had always struck him as a good person. So at the chance to come out for a little get together, minus the prima donna known as Rosalind, Castor had said yes, no hesitation.
Besides that, he needed to talk to her. He was a royal and she was someone who was connected to those he wasn't. She had people who listened to her. And she was strong. Strong enough to keep up with what they faced and fought. What he thought. Castor wanted to talk. At the very least, he just wanted to see how his former so called student was doing.

She'd felt the cellphone ringing in her body more than anything else. It was a bizarre feeling, being buzzed from the inside. Nonetheless, Perseus pulled the device from the subspace pocket and flipped it open to read the message inside. It was short and sweet, which is something she would expect from the newly crowned prince of hail.
Interesting, so he wanted to meet? It had been a while since the two had met up, the last few times over training sessions or random youma hunting meetups. It didn't take her long to get to the designated meeting place, ascending to the roof with relative ease. "Its been a while, dear prince." It was easy banter with a casual friend.
While she hadn't liked Castor much in the beginning, Perseus had grown relatively fond of him. He was good at heart, and stood for many of the same values that she did. Certainly, she would not argue that he wasn't rough around the edges, but he got things done which is what counted in the end, both as a senshi and in the real world. Life was complicated, and he understood that fact, and never judged anyone because of it. "How have you been?"

The arrival and question was not greeted with words, but with actions. A dopey smile, a hug and and firm pat on the shoulder. Castor hadn't seen the senshi of illusions and now he was glad he had called her out. "Alright, dealing with that title and it's-" he sighed, "well let's just say crystals are more temperamental then ex girlfriends. Senshi wise I'm getting better more or less now with Chronos and crystal practice. Home life- Lina is pissed and" He waved it off. "Marital problems. I have to sort them out on my own. Nothing anyone can do but me." The subject sounded like he was tired of it.
"But overall, good. Anyway listen to me, I'm going all off on ya. Nah, You tell me what's been up. Not everyday I see a senshi get a nice boost. How's Rosalind? Still fussing? I don't need to play douche bag prince and ruin my sexy new image do I?" The grin he had worn in the part remained. "I promise no youma next time though. At least not one that would slime her. Slobber however I make no promises about."
laughing at his own joke, Castor sat on the building's edge. "But seriously Perseus, how's been the senshi treating you?"

"Crystal huh?" Truth be told, while Perseus had heard of the crystals she'd never actually seen one with her own eyes, having missed the dream battles in Elysion. The girl was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of information and rambling coming from the older male. She knew he was a bit more chit-chatty than most, but honestly she hadn't ever seen him talk so much. And to hear him, the previous ladies man of Destiny City, talking about marital problems was something else entirely. Time had such an odd effect on people.
"Yea, I almost died getting it though." Drowning in a furious water youma was not exactly what she had called a picnic. "Rosalind is good too, though yea, still a bit fussy. Getting better at fighting things without her shoes though." It had made her head palm in pretty much every situation she'd seen it in. "Haven't seen much of her lately though, at least not since I got back."
She skipped over that part mostly. "Being a senshi has been great lately. I've been teaching more and more now how to spacewalk, and have done a bit of training with my team and with a few others. I know quite a crowd of chibi senshi too, I think they like me because I'm their size." She joked lightly. "Can't say I agree with them being awoken still though." Which was the honest truth. Children had no place in a war with chaos. "Its good to see a familiar face though. Lots of new ones have been cropping up lately, on both sides unfortunately, though meeting the pages has been interesting." Pages in general had been an interesting concept to her. It was unconfirmed for sure, but with Lina being cleansed into the faction and with their weapons... they seemed like what a Negaverse agent should be, sans corruption.

Castor have a shrug and a sigh. "The Knights are their own. My wife is one but..." Another shrug. "Her views and mine differ. Part of-" Cutting himself off he didn't feel like talking about it. He had to work it out with her. Somehow. "They're just...sort of there. I can't say what they're prone to doing. Much less how and why. For now, I'm going to look at them as potential allies. Aside from Lina, I've only encountered another. Time will tell, it certainly did for us senshi." A halfhearted smile as he motioned to her fuku.
"Super powered space walks. Training. Maybe I should have given you a gold star that night as well." The memory was a fond one. He ought to try it again, just with less freakish youma. That had been a b***h and a half to round up. "Still you see princess fancy panties you tell her she still owes me. And I will see her getting dirty one of these days." he chuckled a bit, sparing a wink.
But a deep breath later and his gaze shifted to the city, voice losing it's mirth. "Children don't belong here. Polaris is over looking them in a way, and if you are too, that's good, but really all I see are kids. Kids being told to fight when just-" His fist clenched. "There is some ******** up s**t out there. s**t you don't let kids see, let alone fight. I mean hell, the negaverse doesn't cut anyone slack, they see a chibi senshi? All they'd see is an easy target. Sure, we have Chibimoon but, she's the princess. Well-" He cocked his head. "Honestly I'm not sure on her whole story, point is she's white moon royal. Apparently Serenity's daughter with Endouchyion. She's what we have and that better then nothing. Still..Kids."
Castor didn't understand the cosmos. "Just when you think the city is sane, s**t hit the fan...Again."

"I met a Page of Earth who was a rather upstanding fellow. Helped me take down a youma shaped like a bookshelf. Functional and evil." His aura had felt odd to hers, and it was the same feeling she had gotten when Lina had arrived at the youma hunters gathering. "By the way... congrats on Lina and marriage, despite how rocky things seem to be now. I guess my advice is remember how hard you fought for her in the first place." Perseus remembered the controversial Halloween ball fight, and Castor's ill-fated battle kiss with the Negaverse. It hadn't gone over well with those that had seen it.
"You should be one to talk, Mr-wings-and-a-crown." She would have never pegged the Castor she had met before to be a prince, with all of his rough edges. "I will if I see her, we haven't really been training or patrolling together much anymore." Between her impromptu trip and school and Rosalind's obligations, they'd grown apart over the last few months. Perseus didn't quite know what to do about it, but that was a topic for another time and she left it at that.
Perseus tracked his eyes and followed her gaze out to the city as well. "Its not even like the cat that awoke them told them what was happening either. Hug-bell and Ixion didn't have much of a clue when I first met them." She paused for a moment, touching her shoulder lightly. It was where the diamond shaped scar still lingered, made by Painite's spear. "Though I imagine they have more of a clue after the battle that ensued at camp. I watch out for them when I can though." Calls from Chibi's on her phone were priority marked.
The talk of Chibimoon got her distracted however. She'd always meant to track down the Princess and ask about her story, but had never seemed to accomplish it. Maybe she should start that hunt again. Her talk with Kurma about Chaos had gotten her thinking about a lot of things, and Chibimoon might have a lot of interesting things to say on the matter. "Endouchyion? Thats an interesting nickname." While she hadn't participated in the fight for Elysion, she'd been given a recap that had included the less than courteous Prince.
Moving her eyes back to Castor, Perseus attempted to switch the topic of conversation. It was a hard topic, but he summed it up in the last statement perfectly. "So, what else have you been up to PrincyPants?"

Castor was and had been an optimist. He had to be in some ways, after all, when the world looked grim, somebody had to laugh or else...you may as well have rolled over and take life and been it's b***h. Castor would have said this to Perseus but he was being classy tonight. Plus Perseus was kind of more serious then that. So he would try to be serious for her. Waving off his situation with Lina, (or rather ignoring it), Castor chucked at his nick name. "Eh, princess still makes me worried. Antics like that can hurt. Wait, cats aren't- god damn it." He ran a hand down his face. "What is with those cats? Up and show up and just dump the magic and and ditch. It's like a magical one night stand and in the morning we're left with some kind of alien glitter based STD."
He stopped right there. "....I hope senshi don't have some kind of space disease. That would seriosuly ******** up my day. Even if it would follow the idea of being a jedi. ******** Midi-chlorians." He still smiled at the idea though. The cosmos was often a jokester in some ways. "Still good to know the squirts have a senshi like you to look after them. One thing I would probably suck at personally. Kids fighting..kinda unsettling. And trust me on that nick name Pers." He gave her a nick name. About time too.
"Biggest d**k that ever dicked in my opinion. And coming from me? That's a pretty big d**k to go down on." Lewd jokes and banter, Castor was on a roll. "For me? Mostly figuring s**t out, sorting my life, trying to make sure I don't end up summoning my crystal and killing everyone. Been practicing on my home world, sometimes with Chronos. It's weird. I have flashes of what I used to be able to do, but..I can't do them anymore. I don't remember how."
He shrugged. "I also discovered that castorian beetles are still ******** annoying as s**t. 2000 years and they still are a b***h and a half to kill."

Perseus listened to Castor's rambling with a bit of good natured humor. He was very good at talking about whatever came to his mind at the moment, and the notion that they had some kind of space STD sent her giggling. "At least this disease is more helpful than not." It was better to have a virus that made you super strong and awesome versus contracting one that made you sick and killed you.
"Kid's fighting is unsettling. I would love to remove them from any semblance of harm at all, but at least if they face something they can face it knowing they can at least try to fight back, which is more than I can say of civilian children." She couldn't even imagine how many of them had been caught unawares by monsters lurking in the night- it wasn't something Perseus wanted to dwell on.
"Castorian Beetles?" The news about his crystal had also surprised her though. She had just sort of assumed when you inherited your planetary power you inherited the knowledge that went along with it, though apparently the universe wasn't that kind. Power didn't often come easily though; with great responsibility and all of that nonsense. "That sounds less than pleasant. I'm glad my planet only has green things living on it, and so far none of those has tried to kill me." One a more serious note, Perseus deterred back to the previous conversation. "I'm sure that it will come with time, you just have to keep honing your skill."

Castor nodded, eyes distant. "Time. Sadly Perseus, we senshi really don't have time. Not much of it by the way things have headed." A low sigh and the senshi of hail rubbed his arms, the naught air still warm, but the humidity of the night coming down adding to the wind's cooling chill. "War is war, and this one keeps getting uglier as it progresses. A few years ago it seemed like it was easier, simpler. Now-" He looked at his right hand. How many lives had he'd taken? Snuffed out using his powers? How many lived had he saved? He'd lost count somewhere along the lines, and even so, it didn't make things easier.
"Chronos and I are getting better, no doubt when the negaverse tries another grand attack we'll be there, ready for them. If not master, at least we'll be ready you know? Last thing I'd want to do is summon my crystal and end up killing a senshi or civilian." A silent fear he had. Part of why he stuck so often to training with his crystal. "I tought you ages ago, but looks like I've still got a lot to learn on my own eh?"
He laughed, and for once, it was a happy sound. "We'll learn over time. Then? Then we'll win this war, make the world right." He sounded hopeful. "That's the plan at least."

"When children grow up in war, it's understandable that it gets harder for them as things go on." Unbidden, her memory turned to her first battle, more of a dance floor than a battle field. Looking back, it seemed like so long ago- the talks with the same enemy that would no longer sit to have childish conversations with anyone else. Each encounter now was a dangerous waltz of death and life. The game had gotten serious, and the players were pawns.
"It is good that there are at least a few formidable powers on our side of things. It always seems the Negaverse has a leg up on us always. But chaos is a powerful force I suppose." Perseus was more than pleased to hear him laughing. It was something that didn't happen often enough the last few times she'd seen him.
"Everyone is always learning, though I do appreciate the lessons... even if they were a bit harsh sometimes." That youma had been the grossest thing she'd ever fought. The sailor refrained from commenting on his war comments. What exactly was setting the world right? Nevertheless, she smiled at his hopefulness. Hope was a rare commodity in their business, and she wouldn't deprive him of it.

Castor looked into the distance. The city was certainly alive, but his fears about the possibilities of just what could happen never really went away. Still, he smiled. The future was unpredictable, and so, to say it looked grim and might end up as such- On the same hand it could end up better. That was what Castor believed in. It was what he hoped for.
"I'm going to try and train again. It might help others." A shrug. "Might just make them resent my methods, in any event, I'm going to finish what I started. You're free to come by for another lesson if you like." It was said half in jest, have in truth. He wanted to give help or insight to others, even if he did think that throwing them at a youma was a good idea.

"I could certainly drop by any training sessions you wanted to host, just let me know when and where. " Perseus had been wanting to inform newer senshi of their resources in the database and herself, but had a hard time running into the younger senshi.
Not that she was old! But being a senshi for as long as she had made her feel old. She wondered if it had something to do with her soul being reborn as many times as it had. Perseus smiled, remembering the previous teaching that she had attended. It had been interesting, and definitely a good experience. "I wouldn't mind picking up civilian-style fighting lessons either, if you were up for them again." They'd trained together a few times and Castor made a good motivator in that regards. She'd been lacking on physical exertion lately with most of her time being spent studying or up in the surrounding. Time management was getting increasingly hard.
"Don't be too much of a stranger Castor. I've been missing your face around." She mock punched him in the arm, smiling. Despite his rough demeanor and even rougher tongue, Perseus had come to like the prince. He was honest and compassionate, something that too many others on both sides of the coin lacked.

“Civilian style? Ahaha!” Castor laughed a bit at that one. “I could take you to a gym and do some boxing, or you can do what I did in my high schooldays.” Oh there was that grin again. “Scuffle over pointless bullshit and fight dirty. Good times. I like to think it helped my pain threshold.” It also helped him survive as long as he had. He might take her up on training offer. Always good to have options available. “But hey, no problems from me there! I like a good work out. And stranger me?” A hand over his heart and his face mockingly attempted to look hurt. “Perseus, you wound me. I am never a stranger. At least not unless I don’t know someone of course. I’m always around and ready to pick up the phone.” Pulling out said phone he paused at the time. “s**t, it’s late. Want to call it a night? I’ll call you if something comes up.”
