Kallichore let loose a growl as she attempted to run faster. She never could figure out why she never tripped and fell despite how torn to shreds her fuku was (she equated it to magic), but nevertheless wasn't going to complain. The super senshi was on the lookout for other soldiers of the Jovian moons, and had almost locked onto the general area that one may have patrolled in when a youma got in her way and nearly took the side of her face off. It was low to the ground, lizardlike and very long, and skittered much faster than the body looked like it could move. That's what pissed off Kallichore the most - the damned thing booked it like a courier on steroids.

Her search for other Jovians would have to wait, because if she let this thing go, it'd no doubt crawl into someone's apartment or something and eat starseeds, which was the last thing anyone wanted. Kallichore trailed behind the youma a good thirty feet or so and couldn't seem to run any faster. Her attack certainly didn't move fast enough to catch it either. A quick mental scan showed one senshi nearby. Maybe she could help?

The pair careened around a corner and dashed into a part, coming up on the parkbench on which Cyllene had been sprawled out. The youma must've seen her too, for it made a mad dash for the senshi in black and blue. Kallichore could see it coming, but needed to catch up in order to do anything about it. "Hey! Watch out!"

Lovely, another newbie with an attitude! Kallichore thought ruefully. Why did it always seem that she ran into new senshi who had a penchant for antisocial behavior? Not that she herself was any better, but she was a smidge better than usual when she was powered up and people's lives were on the line!

The youma turned a very sharp corner and ran up to the park bench, teeth and jaws open and flaring, waiting for Cyllene to take a misstep and fall into its mouth. It started to slowly climb up the bench hand over hand, tail flailing and cracking like a whip behind it. Kallichore's boot was the only thing it had to look forward to and a crimson heel jutted out and into the side of its jaw. The youma let out a shriek and fell over, skittering away a distance while it tried to pop its jaw back into place with tiny arms. The senshi of madness stopped just in front of Cyllene and leaned over to catch her breath.

"Oh yes, I power up every evening, thinking..." Wheeze. "...now who can I run a youma into tonight? That's how I get my kicks." More wheezing, and Kallichore kept an eye on the lizard youma. It was still shrieking and flailing around with a loose jaw. The fact that the senshi in fishnets didn't seem to know what a youma was on sight was incredibly alarming. "It's trying to eat you because of your starseed... have you never seen a youma before?"

"I'm chasing it with the intent of killing it so it won't hurt you or anyone else." came the simple reply. Kallichore's awakening was because of a youma, though obviously not ever senshi had that distinct "privilege". The youma finally righted itself and turned around to stare at the two senshi with glowing yellow eyes. It was quite pissed and seeking revenge. And maybe a meal or two. Kallichore stepped between the youma and Cyllene, ready to call up her attack.

As the youma stalked forward, the super senshi waited for it to get into range of her attack, bracing herself. "Youma are beings made of pure Chaos. Their only mission in life is to kill and destroy, no matter who or what it is. It's our job as senshi to stop them." The lizard shrieked and rushed forward, at its full height only as tall as the senshi's knees, but it made up for lacking height in speed. Kallichore's attack was called up in a moment, smoke surrounding the senshi and flying out to envelope the creature's head and face. It abruptly stopped and backed up, looking all around as if seeing multiple targets it wasn't able to touch.

"And now comes the tough part - finding something sharp enough to stab this thing to death." muttered the super senshi. She started to look around for a knife or a crowbar. Maybe a gun. A gun would be nice.

Kallichore frowned. "Well, why couldn't you be the Senshi of ********? Or at the very least, the Senshi of Heavy Artillery..." In a flash and while the creature was dealing with both of their combined attacks, Kallichore was off to find something to deal with the youma. She was counting down the seconds in her head, knowing that around the point she hit 30, the effect would be wearing off. She dashed into the trees and down to the nearby street, but found nothing she could either carry or that had enough weight to it. Just trash cans (which were too flimsy) or a manhole cover (which was impossible to lift.) Cursing, she returned to the park through the bushes and nearly tripped over a large rock.

Ah ha!

Scooping it up, it seemed like she should just make like a shotput player and hurl the rock at the youma, but her aim wasn't good enough. "I don't know your name, but I'm Kallichore. I suggest finding something we could beat this thing with, unless you can melt it with your attack?" Cautiously, Kallichore made her way towards the spasming youma. It had hurled itself to the ground in an effort to get dirt in its face, hoping that would ease the pain of the acid in its eyes. Its sharp limbs flailed about mindlessly and so erratically that Kallichore wouldn't risk getting too close. She couldn't predict where that whip of a tail was going to go. Instead, she chose to thrust the rock as best she could, watching at is landed on the creature's side with a dull thud. It shrieked and rolled over.

Not enough damage done - the damned thing was still alive. "Any other ideas?"

The croc youma was whining now, something high-pitched and irritating, as something that looked like tar oozed from the head wound Kallichore had given it. She could tell Cyllene wasn't taking any of this seriously - what she didn't heed could eventually kill her, and they all needed to remain alive as long as possible. Cyllene was clueless, but maybe she could be enlightened after the immediate danger had passed. Looking around, the senshi of madness spotted another large decorative rock and snatched it up.

As the youma rolled over to try and snap at Cyllene, Kallichore dropped to her knees and slammed the rock into its head. THUD, THUD, THUD. Eventually, the squealing and shrieking died down and the youma started to lose substance, indicating the unlife was leaving it. Breath was released from tense lungs and Kallichore stepped back, watching as the body disintegrated. Dropping the rock, one senshi turned to the other.

"Cyllene. It's nice to meet you. Are you okay?" she asked, walking over to stand near the other senshi. "Ah, just for future reference... youma? These things?" She pointed to where the corpse was oozing. "They're the bad guys, and we're the good guys... If we don't stop them, then they'll eat or kill our friends, family... you name it."

Well that was... expected, but still. Sometimes finding out that one had magical powers on top of finding out the monsters on television were real was too much for some people. She felt terrible for Cyllene, but the girl had turned and walked away before Kallichore could do much about it.

"I hope this isn't too much for you. Sleep it off. Take some time... no one will blame you."

Maybe time would help Cyllene come to terms with things. Some people took to it better than others. Kallichore frowned and turned away, flitting off towards home. Mentioning cell phones and all that was probably a terrible thing to do at that point.
