For the past few months or so, I have been toying with the idea of "creating" my religion. While my beliefs and practices exist, I have never really sat down and hashed out all the details. Not to mention it seems my goddess is in favor of this, though I'm not sure why. As my coven is eclectic, I haven't had a need to do so in that setting and it would be pointless for personal use. However, I've had a lot of questions lately about just what it is exactly that I practice, believe and who it is I worship. So, I've been thinking of sitting down and working it all out on the computer, that way, if anyone wants to know, I can just give them a big fat info dump! lol. But, in all seriousness, I have been considering this. While I've found the followers of my goddess few and far between (mainly because she is nameless/has many names), I have found a lot of people interested.
If I were to do this, I would most likely work on it, here, in the guild. While my beliefs are quite strict, I've never done anything of this sort and I feel I may overlook something. I would like the input of others as I work on it, mainly to point out where I may have gaps in my information. Questions about it help me as well. After that, I may publish something on witchvox about it as well.
So, I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in maybe helping me out with this, in this way?

I would definitely be interested to help! I was just thinking about this sort of thing today, how important it is to spread information and to show people the different paths out there. I know our paths are not exactly similar but I could help proofread or whatever else is needed.

I was just thinking about this sort of thing today, how important it is to spread information and to show people the different paths out there. I know our paths are not exactly similar but I could help proofread or whatever else is needed. Cool. I'll start up a new thread and post what I have so far.

I can pitch in too- I have a really good book on writing your own sacred text and another good one on making your own book of magical information like a book of shadows.

I'm not really wanting to make a sacred text, more like something you would read in a book, explaining a religion. Same goes for a BoS, my goddess doesn't require any specific form of worship, so I'm not going to include anything like that.

If you wanna look at it and tell me what other information I should/could provide it'd help a lot. I've got a start on some basic "rules" one has to follow, or tenets I suppose.
