Procrastination, mostly. That's usually what brings me to Gaia. gonk

Everything's pretty much the same as usual! Work, study, etc, etc.

How are you? heart Still in Denver?

I'm in Wyoming actually, living in a national park and watching deer off my porch. It's a pretty posh internship. I'll be back in Denver next month.

Are you still in school? It seems to me that you should be out already. And how is Kav and his cars?

That sounds awesome! Photos? ^.^ The idea of looking out the window and seeing a bunch of deer seems really random to me, but I suppose I've stayed in the country and had kangaroos and wallabies right outside, which is pretty much the same! xd I remember you talking about a possible internship a few months ago, is this that one? What are you doing there?

Oh no, I've been working full time for a year and a half now! I'm studying for my chartered accounting qualification (I think the equivalent in the US is CPA).

Kav's going pretty well. It was his birthday this week - we went and saw Love Never Dies (Phantom of the Opera sequel). He finishes his apprenticeship in 3 - 4 months which is exciting.

Cool beans. It sounds like you guys are both moving forward.

I'm working on the archives at a place called the Murie Center. It's this conservation organization that maintains a 1920s era ranch and a whole bunch of material from the family who used to live here, which is what I'm working with.

It's pretty cool. I get to stay on the ranch and have seen moose, mule deer, and all sorts of other stuff. There are bats living in the roof but I can only hear them when I step outside.

And there are a ton of mosquitoes, but they seem to have died down already thank god.

Tell Kav happy birthday for me!

I can't imagine a sequel to the Phantom being any good.

Yeah, it's pretty weird. Starting work makes you grow up a lot. I mean, a bunch of my friends are getting engaged and/or buying houses. But on the other hand, a lot of my friends are still in their final year of university and bumming around travelling the world. It's almost like being a teenager again, where you can't quite work out whether you're still a kid or a grown up. rofl

Love the first photo! It's like he's just chilling out in the middle of the road, and doesn't care that he's stopping traffic. xd

Eeeek, bats in the roof would freak me out a little! Although that might be because I keep hearing things about the hendra virus recently.

Love Never Dies got mixed reviews in the UK, so they changed it quite a lot for the Melbourne release and I think this might be the one that gets taken around the world.

The storyline isn't as strong as Phantom of the Opera (although I wasn't a huge fan to begin with, pretty creepy) but the sets and costumes were STUNNING and the performances themselves were very good. It was definitely still worth seeing. 3nodding

i love mooses!

they have only lately entered our area; the deer used to carry a parasite that killed them, but i guess that is ok now.

is the Yellowstone River all polluted, as i have heard? is it affecting the wild creatures?

Hmm, I don't know, Things look pretty clean from where I am, but the snake river is muddy as hell. The county right south of us is has the most ozone per capita in the country though, thanks to drilling and such.
