Ok, so I finally finished Origins today, and I was left really confused from the landsmeet on.

- During the accusations part, I had a 4-2 vote over Loghain, but the proceedings erupted into a fight and no matter what I said, Alistair killed him.

- According to the epilogue texts, me and Alistair never got back together. But I was always nice to him though. Did he not get back with me because I had him impregnate Morigan?

I can't say much for the landsmeet...because it caused problems for me too last time. So I had the majority vote, they acted like Loghain won and it was a battle...however, I had the choice to kill him or not.

As for the Alistair situation....what origin were you playing? And if you weren't a human noble. Did Alistair "break up" with you before the landsmeet?

Yeah, I was a female human noble, and Alistair did kind of break up with me before the landsmeet.

What did you do to make him break up with you?

Do you have a save before the landsmeet? I may be able to walk you through this if I have more specifics.

Are you trying to become queen? That's what I did as a human noble. 3nodding

Also, what system are you playing on? If it's a glitch it may be system specific.

It's complicated but a lot of things can end the relationship officially with Alistair.
But being a human noble, you can easily save it by suggesting to become queen and then all ends well. But if you don't become queen. you have to through a few steps to be able to stay with Alistair. He can't be king (if he does become king you can only be his mistress on the side haha).

- I really don't know.

- Not anymore because I tired of retrying.

- I tried to stay together w/ Alistair, but I don't remember there being a 'I'll be your queen' option.

- 360.

I play on the 360 too. biggrin

If you don't have a save before the landsmeet, there isn't much you can do. Sorry. sad It's always good to have a few back up saves just in case.

Anyway....

How long ago did he break up with you? There is a way to reread your past conversations. Just go to your quest screen and scroll over a bit. New conversations replace old ones over time though.

Did you tell Anora that you'd side if her after you rescued her? Even if you don't intend on making her queen, it's always a good idea to say you will. She gives you lots of brownie points with the nobles. 3nodding

In all of my four playthroughs I've never had the landsmeet break into an all out battle. I always end up in a one on one duel with Loghain. On my human noble file I had Alistair fight him, and Alistair always kills him. After the duel you have to choose who will lead Ferelden. That's when the option to marry him pops up. You have to pass a persuasion check though.

Does Alistair always proclaim himself king after your battle? I had that happen to me once on my Dailish file. I didn't get to choose rulers then and that may be your problem.

You have to have at least 5 votes to have a majority rule.

Lulz, 4 playthroughs? I filled up my saves on my hdd and my internal cat_cool . If you don't have Anora's support you'll fail and have to fight Loghain, but if you say that you'll fight for Alistair (When the Revered Mother breaks up the fight and insists on single combat), you'll have a shot at getting Loghain to replace Alistair (who will either become a shambling drunk, or - if you hardened him - assume the position of king and hate you.) But, you have to ignore both Alistair and Anora and insist on putting him through the joining. Also if you don't get Loghain you won't get the Perfectionist achievement.

Okay the landsmeet will always cause a fight. No matter what. I've done every quest in the game and I've done every ending.

Alistair unless you have sexy time with him you won't be in a relationship with him. Also Alistair always leaves your character if you make him king.

During my time with the Landsmeet I have had all choices even one to kill Alistair and not Loghain.
Simply do the battle pick who you want as king/queen if you pick Alistair Loghain will be murdered if you pick Anora she will tell Alistair to resign any right he has to becoming king and Alistair leaves. You can pick to kill Alistair during this. Then you will have Loghain on your team. If you pick Alistair you can rule by his side and that will be as close and you can get to getting back together.

Before the landsmeet you're advised to go the the Gward Noble Tavern and shmoose the landsmeet nobles that are in there onto your side. If you do this you can get all but one (I think) of the nobles on your side. Now to stop a fight eprupting, just tell Anora that you'll side with her, even if you don't intend to, and she'll side with you against Loghain. Loghain will then challange you to a duel, but the only way to keep him alive afterward is have yourself or any other companion BUT Alistair fight him. If Alistair duels him, he'll otomaticly kill him for Duncan.
Now the reason for him leaving you is because you made him king, and even if you are a Cousland if you don't use the "Alistair will be king and I will rule beside him" line, then will break up with you AFTER the Landsmeet(but only if he's not hardened by his personal quest, if he is then you can be his concubine)--- if he breaks up with you before then you've done something wrong or triggered a wrong dialouge option. And no he's never upset about the Morrigan thing, he's happy he's alive with the woman he loves.

As everyone else has already said, the landsmeet always ends with a fight. I never sided with Anora, and she flat out lied during the landsmeet, which caused the non-nobles to side with Logain, and they all decided to fight me, even though only the commoner and that one old guy at the very end agreed with him. Screw politics. If you have full approval, and completed Alistair's side quest(The one with his sister.), there is usually an option that, I believe, says that Alistair will rule with the warden by his side. It only works, if you are a human, female noble, and you basically old him that he needs to realize that some people just look out for themselves at the end of Alistair's side quest.

I hope that helped.^w^
