It was amazing, how refreshed Sylviana felt after getting that nap in, finally. And how refreshing to be among a Soquili who did not treat her like a savage beast--who treated her like she was a person. The kalona mare was in a very upbeat mood this day, even though the rains fell down and the thunder crashed. She was taking shelter under a rock formation, looking out at the now rain soaked ground. The rain was actually very beautiful, and the smell was fresh and wonderful. Yes. How much difference that nap made!

Metal armor groaned in the humid air as the brown soquili shifted, trying to get a comfier stance against the mountain range. The rain wasn't a surprise, as she had noticed the dark clouds above, but how heavy and hard the rain fell was an unpleasant turn of events. Kayla was forced to leave her meadow trail in favor of the mountain slope, using the high stone ridge as a blockade. It helped....but only a little. The wind would occasionally push the rain straight into her eyes, and the soquili was often shaking her head and tail against the cold and harsh drops.
Rounding a corner just as a clap of thunder struck, the mare paused nervously. The sound was so loud and nearby, that she feared the mountain wouldn't provide enough protection against her trembling fears. And aside from that, Kayla could have sworn she saw a figure in the distance as distant lightning would light up the area. Was it a friend or foe? Or maybe it was nothing more than a twisted and aged tree?
