Sit Down & Talk
Pectoris is a small city forgotten in the English history of the 19th Century. Those that know of it would probably utter the words "conspiracy" or comment that it is a fool's tale. The truth is Pectoris was a very real place but the deeds done there were horrific enough for "divine intervention" and no one ever spoke of it again. That is except for the few who permitted their names to become tarnished with the label "insane". Why don't you come sit down by the fire and hear the tale passed down from my crazy, so many greats grandfather. The tale of Pectoris manor.
What Have You Done?
Baron Vladimir Faust was the youngest son to a wealthy English family although he was the black sheep in the brood; he still inherited quite a sum of money. He used that to have a manor built in a small city that was hardly visited having nothing of value to trade and not existing on any route between larger cities. But this was how Vladimir liked it for a secluded city meant secrecy. See, Lord Faust was a man of strange curiosity that would have religion banging on his door had they ever realized exactly what he intended to do in that mansion. But his family was happy to be rid of him and anyone else that happened upon the place would be of lower class and not able to demand entrance. The few times his family would visit for social graces would be with warning granting him the chance to hide his sick experiments.
These experiments were that of death, reanimation, the after life and all things dark and boding. He dealt with devils, demons, witches and what one might call "evil". Rumours that the place was haunted started quickly after strange noises in the night. The fact that the city's new rich man was never seen did not help any as gossip turned to the "Baron Devil", served by his demon butler, the only "human" to ever be seen walking through those cold iron gates.
After a time Vladimir planned to continue his experiments but no longer on the dead. This is where our story starts, at the beginning of the end, the tale of how nightmares broke free of the manor and then destroyed themselves along with the town they resided in.
