He didn't know why, though he suspected it was his mothers fault, but he'd decided the painting he'd been working on; albeit slowly, needed to be finished and he didn't fancy the idea of his parents seeing it. He couldn't just work on it at a gallery either, and he had no where else to work on it. It was with that in mind that he'd packed the canvas, dry right now, easel and paints into his car and taken off for the city. He knew of a small park where he could work in relative peace.

Parked and unpacked the blond had settled himself on the metal bench, glad it wasn't cold out. A metal can, filled with water, sat at his side. Paints on a pallet rested in one hand, his left, while the brush he held in his right hand was dipped into the water can.

Already the canvas was filled with dark colors, he'd used as little water as possible with this painting and done a lot of layers to gain the darkness. He didn't know why he'd chosen such an unusual thing, he normally painted landscapes, but figured it was due to the sheer oddness of the scene. It had been months ago that he'd seen something he couldn't explain. It seemed like a fight, or a mugging, at first but it had quickly changed to something different. The person, who's back was to the viewer, was dressed in an unusual manner; and not just because it was summer. While the person who was facing the viewer wore a mask of terror on his face. It looked like the first persons hand was...going through the chest of the second. It wasn't possible, there was no way it could be real, but he was sure that he'd seen it.

He'd worked extensively on the two figures but not the alley they'd been in. That was what he was going to work on now. He had to get the bricks just right, and the dim lamp light from the side walk light just out of view. Maybe he'd take some liberties, since time faded the memory some; at least it had faded everything that didn't matter so much.

Picking his paint color he started his work. Hopefully he could spend a few quite hours here and finish it, and when he returned home the house would be empty save but his parents. He still didn't know why his mother had decided to suddenly invite several friends over for lunch. Either way he wouldn't have any peace while home, they'd want to see what he was working on and chat. Neither of which he wanted right now.

It was pure fortune that had lead him to teleport near by, nothing more. However it was interest that kept him there, he watched for a while, each careful brush stroke as it made its way across the dark paper, the rattle of the brush in the can as it tapped the edges to sweep the last color from it... squeezing out the excess
"Interesting subject..." He said at last, he never moved from where he had first appeared, simply stood there to let him wonder how long he might have watched.

"... Inspired one might say...what are your....feelings on the piece?"

Startled, a good thing his brush was in the can at present, he let his hold on the brush go. Best not to keep it in hand and risk dumping the can of water onto himself, it was dirty by now. The bricks were coming out nice, soft but dark in color. He'd worked to keep the edges soft, let it seem like a scene out of a dream.

"My feelings..." He spoke, turning around in his place. "Curiosity, over what seems impossible. Curious about the person, both persons actually though more so the one who is terrified. Questions, with no answers. Perhaps mild fear, over being caught being a voyeur to such a scene." He spoke, glancing back to his canvas, which was slowly becoming darker and darker as he painted more.

"One could certainly say it's inspired." Keeping his voice as calm, and even, as he could. He didn't like that he couldn't see who was watching him, how long had they been watching him?

"... I could tell you." He said stepping forward to be seen more clearly, if that was what you could say of a man who's face was masked by cloth and the fall of his hair. "I think.... now of all times we can say that nothing is 'impossible', even wild ambition lies within reach for those who will spend the effort to reach for it.

"... afraid?" He asked in calm, almost conversational tones. "...I'm a... terrorist after all." he said it almost teasing. "What else can be said of watching a war from the outside, terrorist, terrifying, strange, monsters, and magic..."

"You make it sound like if I broke off a piece of a branch I could do similar to Harry Potter, which is highly unlikely as well as utterly ridiculous." He spoke, while reaching up to brush his blond hair from his face. "There are always things which are impossible to reach, weather it be due simple human nature or it be in the nature of this planet. As I can't say what may or may not be possible elsewhere." He did subscribe to the idea of life on other planets, and who knows what those beings needed to sustain themselves. Was it air and water, or was it something which would kill a human? Was it something that didn't exist here? What he did know was that magic, and such things, were utterly impossible here. Though there were the stories on the news, the ones he watched acidly. But there was no way it was all real, some part had to be fabricated and CG'd.It simply wasn't possible... "Aliens..." That was the only thing which he could come up with for an answer to that.

That question "afraid?" had him shaking his head. "What one person may define as a terrorist others don't. Or there would only be one, and not many, who do the same thing. And the act of terrorism is making people afraid of every day things. I'm not scared to go out, to go shopping, or to drive down the road. So I'd say no, I'm not." A silent insult if one wished to take it as such, someone wasn't doing a good enough job of playing the terrorist. He wasn't terrified, he didn't get scared to do every day things.

"What war though? The fights shown on the news? Half of what's shown in those fights can't be real."
PostPosted: Sat Jul 16, 2011 5:37 pm

"Well... not quite Harry Potter..." He chuckled. "But you're right... about the Aliens I mean." He pulled down the mask and offered a very...friendly smile from a very young face. "What you see on the news doesn't even scratch the surface." He tilted his head slightly and then asked.

"Did you want to know more?" It sounded like an invitation as he leaned forward to look over the painting. "Do you want to know... the likely scenarios for what you saw?... Do you want to -see-?" He flashed a grin... an easy grin.

"Lovely, aliens. Guess those shows on the History Channel, claiming proof found in the ancient past, was right. Lovely." Was it time to start making tin foil hats? Not for himself, but to sell to the paranoid idiots who really were in need of a padded room; and of course a tin foil hat.

Raising a brow, observing the other, he noted that they couldn't be much older than himself. He certainly had never seen them however. "And you'll explain this alien business to me?" The blond questioned while sliding along the bench, so he could stand. Not much taller than the other he noted, finally someone he had some height on; and they weren't younger than himself.

"I'll admit, I prefer leaving some mysteries as that. To solve everything in life would remove something precious to the experience of life. However, I find that if your words are true, and there is some alien thing going on. Something like what the news claims, terrorists seeking to take over, I'd personally like to see them off. Anything not from here should be seen as hostile and dealt with as such." Why else would aliens come to another planet, if not to gain something, likely through less than pleasant means.

"So yes, if I can learn of what I saw, and these aliens. It's one large mystery I think I can live with solving." And having a definite answer to. Alexandre was a firm believer in needing mysteries in life, something to form all manner of ideas about and not commit to any one imagined solution. It was part of life, to imagine and be able to come up with all kinds of ideas and thoughts on things. But the thought of aliens here, and fighting some form of...war, he needed to know. The desire to remove what he could only assume as a hostile threat to the populous out weighed his usual beliefs.

"If they ruined their own worlds... if they needed... a new world to take over. A war older than any of us remember, a war with a PRINCESS that lived on the moon... who swayed the heart of the ruler of -this- planet... any... any who stood against her were cursed... Senshi are aliens, that's why they can do things that at least seem to be magic... and it is to combat them. that we seem to be able to as well...." He gave a small shrug.

"... Faster... stronger... sadly the only wisdom we have is that we posses ourselves."

"It sounds like all those alien movies, though it sounds all too real. The princess part is a new addition, though I assume from the way you speak that it isn't a good addition. A war for our planet, against an ancient enemy, one seeking rule over what isn't theirs and never should be." Again it sounded like movies, just a trifle, but all the same he disliked the concept of aliens seeking to take over.

"So then what I saw...was a senshi or someone like yourself?" He questioned, glancing back to his painting for but a moment. Best not to take his eyes off this person for too long.

"Our freedom, to remain separate from the rule of the moon. Tell me, how do I help? What you speak of upsets me, I don't like the idea of people fighting to gain what was never theirs, and never should be." Speaking calmly, his gaze focused on the other.

"What you saw is... it could be one of two things, something we are trying to leave behind...or, the very answer of where helping us begins. Clarity starts there... and the skills begin there that you would need to fight these invaders.
Sacrifices have to be made... rather than let ourselves be sheep to them... it's a painful induction I won't lie... but I think that just makes it more... true. Pain and Clarity often are hand in hand...if it were easy, how honest could it be?"

He spread his hands casually... but almost regretful seeming as well. "Do you want to help?... Want to join us in the fight?"

"I hope it was, what I saw, the answer to helping, rather than something you seek to leave behind." Assuming they were leaving it, whatever it was, behind due to it being...decidedly bad, in one way or another.

"Any war to be won consists of sacrifices. A simple fact of any war, my offer to help was not spoken lightly. I am aware that sacrifices will be made, but I'd rather fight for my freedom, everyone's freedom, than be complacent and allow a fight for what's mine to be fought without myself fighting for it. It's as bad as out right handing my freedom over, in which case I don't deserve it." If he didn't fight, didn't try to help in some manner, it was as good as handing his own personal freedom over, he couldn't and shouldn't expect someone else to fight for what was his. Not to mention he might do a better job of fighting for what was his, motivation and such.

"To suffer some pain, in order to fight for mine and others freedom, I'll willingly suffer whatever pain." Even if he disliked the pain. He would fight for his own freedom, and for those who could not. For those who could, they should.

"I hope your right, in clarity being gained through pain. I've yet to know enough pain to reach that, if it's true." Though he had heard as much once before, when he was much younger.

"Would you like to find out?" He held up a hand, almost like he offered it to be taken... one palm down, then he lifted the other like he might take a pledge, spreading the fingers slightly, almost relaxed.

"I can show you truth... I can show you...everything." The offer, a contract written in chaos and pain that hung between them. Serpent and the apple...
"Imagine...what you could paint then..."

Tantalizing perhaps... a lure dangled between them on baited breath in the heavy night air.

"A mystery I think needs answers. If you can give them...show me the way to find them." He spoke, moving around to stand directly in front of the other; no bench separating them.

"I'll take it. As I said...if it's true, what you've mentioned about aliens wishing to take over. I want in on helping. I don't want someone else fighting for my freedom, it's my job to do that."

Laughing, softly, he flashed something of a light smile. "What I could paint..." Trailing off, he wouldn't literally be painting anything, nothing dealing with this for multiple reasons. "I'll paint my destiny, as a member of your side of the war."
PostPosted: Thu Jul 28, 2011 3:10 pm

"As you wish...you can paint it in their blood on the graves of those who would rob us of this world. Paint destiny for yourself and this city, for the Dark Kingdom, for those of us already fallen and those yet to rise..."

The hand slipped forward, a touch to the chest but it did not stop there, it pressed forward, alien and merciless to cup the flickering life in his hands, the small stone that once they stole so much more commonly.
He paused delight for a moment at the power over life and death that lay just for that moment in his hands. He still had no taste for the deeply... personal nature of it, but how drunk one could become, how inhibitions could be cast aside to know that you could kill like this, or save.

Chaos, darkness pushed onward then, an ink wash to stain the blank canvas of his starseed, an illustration of pain and new awakenings.

He'd have laughed at those words, that was the only way he could mean them; given the context they were being spoken. He didn't get the chance though, rather the blond gasped in shock. Staring down in shock, it was just like what he'd seen, the same thing on the canvas not five feet from him. Was this what he'd witnessed, or something else?

The pain which seized his body was intense, searing. It was like nothing he'd ever felt. But with it he had gained something, he reminded himself of that even through the pain. He didn't know if he screamed, he knew he was internally. He was going to survive something, a pain, most people he was sure wouldn't or couldn't. There was something eye opening in that, in the idea he was entering a whole new world and that he could die from this but wasn't and wouldn't.

Was this something he'd feel ever again? A pain he'd have to aquatint himself with?
