Sayoko had been grazing on the grass but when she began to get hot from the sun, she moved to the shade. It wasn't such a bad day outside, there was a light breeze that would blow through occasionally and it wasn't completely cloudy but it wasn't too sunny either. It seemed like the day was just perfect for her to relax and enjoy time to herself. Her color seemed to attract what little sun there was when she was out in the open so she could only stand so much at a time. In her eyes, she is perfect and can't afford to do anything at all to damage her perfection.
The mare closed her eyes and began to relax as the scents of the nature around her filled her senses. In her heart she loved being outside and being one with nature but it was her little secret. If her sister ever discovered how she felt about being under the trees or around water she would probably tell everyone or so she assumed. She laid down in the cool grass under the shade tree, her sleek black tail moved every now and then to keep the bugs away from her. Yoko was in the perfect place to watch her surroundings and if someone came into the field, she would see them right away.

[[To help me.... RP colour #07c07f]] Crown watched as Alexander flew ahead of him, he was feeling lazy which was why he was walking. The sun was warm on his pelt when it revealed itself through the cloud cover and he was feeling a little overheated by the everything. The bandana around his neck seemed to cling to him, even his hair seemed to have lost some of its bounce.....
...bounce. Something his sister didn't seem to be lacking lately. She seemed to have a skip in his step, an every now and then she seemed to reveal a secret smile. He could tell she was hiding something.... but he had no idea what. For all he knew she had finally perfected one of her contraptions or whatever she built deep within the forest. Perhaps he should ask her? But Eden was always secretative about things, unlike their brother Paris who rarely seemed to shut up... god bless any mare that settled down with him, they were in for one hell of a noisy life. He smiled. Both of his siblings were so different, yet he loved them both just the same. He would do anything for them, even lay down his life and happiness for them.
Crown continued forward, not really have a direction for his wandering. He had been training all morning, trying to perfect the lessons that Drashi and Maion had installed upon him two nights before. They seemed to think he was nearly ready to take on his own protection duty.... Crown felt he couldn't be farther from it. What if he messed up? He wasn't as strong or wise as Maion, he wasn't as fast at flying as Drashi.... he felt.... weak in their presence, like he was still a young colt. He sighed. Perhaps he could prove himself if he took a duty of his own? And then just pray that he didn't mess it up.
Crown was so consumed in his own thoughts that he lost sight of Alexander... and failed to notice the mare just a little way off in the distant.

Sayoko had been enjoying the peace and quiet that was nature until she noticed a rather odd colored owl flying towards her and was shocked when it landed in front of her. "Your a lovely little thing aren't you?" She seemed to talk to it in a sweet little voice, she smiled at it and didn't really move in case she would frighten it. She began to admire the soft blue and green colors that made the owl who it was, she noticed the interesting material around its neck and began to wonder if it belonged to someone. Yoko tilted her head just a little as if it would help her see the owl in a different way. As she changed her view on the owl, she noticed the handsome stallion entering her space.
Her heart began to beat faster and she was starting to panic, it wasn't like to her be at peace like this. As her mind raced, the thought came to her that he didn't know her and that it would be a good chance to make a friend without having to put on her mask. She slowly stood up and looked back down at the owl but the little creature shocked her once again when it didn't fly away. "Would you like a ride?" She asked it, she could imagine how tired it must be, flying makes her tired. The little owl didn't really budge an inch so she moved around it and walked towards the stallion.

Alexander simply continued to watch the mare, he had no reason to get a lift from her... after all he had Crown for such things. But he had been curious.
The reason for his silence was simple, Alexander didn't believe in saying anything unless it was important. To him even greetings could be considered a waste of time... of course Crown would often insist that he speak, by poking him and annoying him he usually managed to wrangle a few stolen words from his beak.
Still, that was no his concern at the moment. He turned his head to see Crown approaching them. He had already noted how distracted Crown was lately... and so in an effort to help him not make a fool of himself Alexander flew to his companion and took a perch upon his rump. Digging his taloned claws in a little to catch his attention.
Crown hadn't noticed Alexander until it was too late, a soft squeek of alarm left his lips as he turned to look at the creature currently mauling his rump. "Do you have to do that?" When the only reply he receieved was a shrug and another scratch Crown simply rolled his eyes and turned away to ignore him. They were best friends, and it was probably only for that reason that Crown allowed him to get away with so much.
As Crown turned to look ahead of him once more he noticed a pink creature approaching him. He cursed inwardly, so this was what Alexander had wanted to tell him? How annoying that his friend seemed to prefer violence to his rump than using his beak to speak. Still, Crown was brought up to never ignore anyone. As the Miakoda herd was open to anyone who needed help, shelter, food or other services they often had strangers come to settle on the outskirks of their lands. As the pink creature approached he noticed the sway of her hips, it reminded him of Eden and his mother which led him to the conclusion that this was a female.... after all simply going by looks meant nothing, he had once met a stallion who looked more like a girl than his sister had.
Bowing his head softly in greeting Crown smiled and said, "Good afternoon M'lady."

Sayoko stopped in her pace when he called her M'lady. Maybe he did know her after all? Fear raced through her soul as she began to wonder if she should just act like normal. When she realized that seconds had passed and she was just standing there staring, she decided to speak up. "Sayoko." All that was on her mind other than the obvious, was her name. Once the word was out she felt incredibly stupid for just blurting out her own name.
Yoko decided to kick it up a bit and stop panicking, she placed one foot farther than the other and seemed to bow in a way. "You may address me as Sayoko or Yoko for short mister?" She trailed off once she reached the word mister because she was trying to figure out just who he really was and if her family knew him. She smiled gracefully and nodded at the owl as if telling him to keep quiet about how she behaved earlier.

Crown was a little too distracted to notice the way the mare flinched at his greeting, usually he would have guessed that something was wrong but on this occasion he remained blissfully unaware. He smiled at her, accepting her name before granting his own. "A pleasure Lady Yoko. My name is Crown, Crown Cullen. And this," He started, indicating the owl perched on his rump, "Is Alexander. He doesn't usually have much to say."
To Crown, using manners to those outside of the herd or to those you were meeting for the first time was key. After all, first impressions were important.. and could only be made once.
Alexander started to prune himself perched on Crown's rump, he had little to no interest in the conversation taking place. That didn't mean he wasn't listening.
Crown watched Yoko for a moment before finally noticing something. She seemed nervous.... was she running from something? His eyes automatically searched behind her for signs of an advance. He couldn't see anything, but that didn't mean that nothing lurked in the shadows. Suddenly on his guard in the same manner that Drashi and Maion had taught him he allowed his gaze to return to the mare as he spoke, "Is everything ok Lady Yoko? Are you.... some kind of trouble?" He kept his voice casual but he was sure his stance gave away the readiness to react. Crown was surprised at how easily his training had come to life on its own, perhaps he really was ready for his own duty after all?

Sayoko couldn't believe that she was behaving this way, she was probably just over reacting. She sighed heavily and was disappointed in herself. "It is a pleasure to meet you Crown Cullen." She said it with a smile because she was happy to meet someone else but at the same time she wanted to make things right. She chose to ignore the owl since he seemed to have no interest in what was taking place. Yoko noticed as his eyes scanned the area around her and she turned around to see if anyone else was around. When she didn't see anything she turned back to him and was surprised by what he asked her. "No everything isn't okay but I'm not in any trouble." She was beginning to like this stallion and could see them becoming close friends.
"I am Sayoko, sibling of Shikon and daughter to Amu and Kuro yume. I should apologize to you because I have not been behaving as my true self, I act different around my family and I wondered if you were friends with my family, but I want to be myself." She decided to tell him what was on her mind, she hated hiding secrets and it was no way to start a new friendship. "I do hope that you forgive me and that we can move on from this?" She was asking but in truth she was really begging because she wanted life outside of her family.

Crown listened carefully, his defensive attention still scanning the area surrounding them despite the fact that her words made him want to believe that she was safe and well he couldn't help but feel differently.
Trying to put the feeling aside he forcused on the conversation. With a gentle shake of his head, his hair bobbing softly. "I am afraid I do not know of your lineage Yoko. But I feel you do not know mine either. My great grandfather is Scythe, leader of the Padmapani Herd and father to the alpha of my own herd, the Miakoda herd." He smiled, proud to be part of such a strong lineage... of course, that also meant that Crown felt the weight of the world on his shoulders, so much to live up to.
Still, he smiled as he spoke again. "There is nothing to forgive lady Yoko."

Sayoko started to feel really bad because she had no idea who his family even was, but he certainly seemed to be extremely proud of the line. "It is okay that you don't know my lineage, sounds like an impressive lineage Crown." She decided to try and be polite and act like she knew what and who he was talking about, her tail swayed back and forth to keep the bugs away. "I am glad you feel that way though." She smiled at him and in that moment she wanted to be close to him but she had no idea why, she decided to ignore the feeling and stay put.

Crown watched her, tilting his head softly to one side. He had genuinely not expected her to know of his family... after all, why would you unless you had grew up in the area to hear their many tales and adventures? He couldn't help but suspect that she was simply trying to be nice... though part of him was a little upset by that, after all, had he not been honest with her? Why could she not show him the same curtosy?
Crown tried not let his emotions get the best of him, and turned to look at his owl Alexander in an effort to refocus his mind. He had been brought up too well to mock or question someone in an effort to learn the truth, respect was something that was earned... and he supposed he had simply done nothing worthy of respect in Yoko's eyes. "I am proud of them, they are strong and good people. They bring hope to a darkening world." When he said those words his thoughts turned to Maion, the herds protectors and his idol. The old stallion was wise and caring, fighting for the side of good in an effort to force back the darkness that was building in the world. "But I must earn my own reputation, I will not live forever off theirs." It was truth, something he believed with all his heart. He could not use his herdmates names to protect him, and although it did give him some clout when he spoke to members of rival herds Crown couldn't help but long for a strength and reputation of his own, one born through his actions and the goodness of his heart.
Alexander scratched him again, drawing Crown's attention once more to the owl. "What is it?" Crown asked, relaxing more and more by the minute.
Alexander shook his head and looked back to the herd lands behind them before returning to look at Crown once more. He spoke only one word, sure that if Crown could not understand it then perhaps he was simply mistaken. "Training."
Crown raised and eyebrow as he watched his friend, his own eyes following the direction he was looking. The word swam in his mind for a moment before a lightbulb went off... TRAINING! How could he forget! He was suppose to do some water exercises this afternoon.
His eyes looked to the sky, it seemed he only had an hour or two before he would be late. It took about an hour or so to return to the herds training spot from here..... that didn't give him too much time, though part of him was reluctant to simply walk away from Yoko, after all it would be considered rude.

Sayoko was wondering about just who his family was, the way he spoke of them made her want to get to know them for herself. "Crown, since you have to go train, could I accompany you?" She was a little hesitant on asking the question but she really wanted to learn more. "I promise I won't be a bother, I would like to learn more about your family." She tried to explain and hoped that he would understand where she was coming from, Yoko didn't want to be misunderstood. Her black tail whipped behind her now and again to keep the flies away. She knew that it was getting later but she really wanted to go with him.

A soft blush covered Crowns face.... let her come? It wasn't that he was embarassed... or maybe it was a little.... but no one other than his tutors had seen him train before, not even his own parents. "Em.... em..." He gulped, closing his eyes for courage before nodding at her. "Sure. You are more than welcome to join me..." His words were a little stuttered but the meaning was clear enough.
Alexander dug his claws in again before jumping over his back and onto his head, it was something he hadn't done in a while, and as Crown's head bowed slightly he couldn't help but feel as if Alexander was suggesting he bow.
Doing just that he stayed low for a moment before rising again. "What would you like to know?" He asked, more than willing to share some of his family's stories with her.

Sayoko smiled with joy when he allowed her permission to come with him. She was a little confused on why he was acting a little embarrassed but she was sure to ask him about that later. "What's your family like?" She was being sincere when she asked because she didn't want to seem rude. Then an idea popped into her own head, what if she got training from him. She swayed her tail a little faster from being excited, when she realized, she stopped. "Could you possibly train me?" She wasn't sure what he would say but she was sure it wouldn't hurt to at least ask.

"I am not sure I would be able to...." Drashi was always saying how it wasn't right for a trainee to take one students, and even after their first year of fighting in the field it wasn't adviced unless there was no options. In Drashi's mind all Crown had to do was get experiences of his own.... but one day, one day he was sure he would be able to take on a student or two of his own. Perhaps even his own children? He smiled at the thought. Crown loved the noisy rumble of foals running around.
He thought for a little while about her question, there was so much about his family... some that he could tell some that he couldn't. "My herd is the Miakoda herd," He knew he had said that already but it was a starting point for his thought tracks, "Maion and Sengdroma started the herd when they had their frist litter of children..... my mother, Renesme was accepted by them when everyone else seemed to want to hunt her. She was only a child at the time, in the protection of my Aunty Alice and Uncle Jasper. They stayed and never left.... my mother fell in love with my father and eventually had me and my siblings. Paris and Eden." He smiled, not sure what else to actually say.

Sayoko nodded in understanding, she figured he wouldn't be able to train her but she wanted to know his answer anyways. "I like that story, its sweet." She smiled at him, in her mind, she thought about all the things that his mother must have went through before finding her safe haven. "My mother doesn't remember her past or who her parents even were." She began to tell him about her family and why they mattered to her. But when she began to talk about her mom, she got upset, it wasn't fair that she couldn't have grandparents. She ignored her own feelings for a bit and decided to go on to her dad. "My dad has a large family, I've not met anyone yet but I'm sure I will someday. As for my sister, we don't really talk a lot..."She trailed off on her last word and thought about why in the world her family seems so broken.
