What's Your Style? A carefree and mischievous guy, Keagen also has a very easygoing style. Many days, he'll wear a shirt with the collars not tucked properly, a scarf in place of a tie, and usually a hoodie to cover it all up. He saves jeans for mainly weekends and days off, and usually appears at work with slacks on. Keagen is never seen in public without his shades, a trademark of his style.
xxxxx►►What Defines You... Keagen is by all means an everyday, average guy. The only uniqueness that can be attributed to him is the fact that he is always wearing shades. Why he wears them is a mystery in itself.
How Schooled Are You? He was taught at a strictly private school in the big city, and because of his extraordinary talent with science, was accepted into the University of Pennsylvania. However, Keagen dropped out after two years for unknown reasons, despite the fact that his life in college seemed completely undisturbed and moving along quite well. He spent about a year overboard after that, but while he claimed to be studying, it was obvious that he hadn't gotten much done in those months.
Got a Day Job? When he's not out on the street minding his own business, Keagen works as a Forensic Scientist for the government. His powers often are a big help when examining the dead bodies, though Keagen doesn't like using his abilities much as he calls it 'cheating'. Even though his job is something out of the ordinary, Keagen calls it nothing special. While he'll never admit he, he secretly enjoys seeing all the dead bodies and imagining just how they came to a premature end. If he's really interested at times, he'll use his powers to take a peek.
Morals and Philosophy? If anyone asked that question directly to Keagen, he'd laugh casually and dismiss it as foolishness. He strongly believes that there are no laws in the universe governing freedom, and people are free to do what they want. "It's only their sense of fear that holds them back," is what he always says. Keagen himself claims that he holds no fear. "Humans, being weak beings, are naturally paranoid. As a result, there's a lot more believed fear in this world then can actually be attributed." Another one of his fierce beliefs is that justice is nothing more then imaginary. "It's a joke. You can't expect a savior every moment of your life. If you did, then where would you be right now?"
What's Soo Super About You? Keagen's ability is Retrocognition, also known as Postcognition. He is able to obtain the knowledge of past events that can't be gathered through normal means. In other words, he sees glimpses of the past, thus allowing him to track down others, identify dead bodies, etc.
xxxxx►►How'd You Get soo Special? He was actually born with the ability to see glimpses of past occurances, although his power was never revealed until Keagen was about eight. At that time, he came to be acquaintances with a member of his third grade class, also a psychic like him. Because of their similar abilities, Keagen's began to develope and strengthen. Regarding himself as a freak, he tried to suppress the abilities by going to a woman who supposedly was a psychic herself. Unfortunately, something backfired in the process and his powers were only rendered stronger.
xxxxx►►Nobody's Perfect While Keagen has the ability to glimpse the events of the past, the past can't be per say, 50 years ago. He also can not just simply stare an object or person down to figure out their past activities. The only way to activate his power is through touch. The reason why Keagen wears the sunglasses is also related to his power. For some strange reason, the shades act as a sort of power suppressor. If Keagen took them off and bumped into a person, all their recent memories would flood into him, and he would have no choice but to endure it, and the immense pain that comes along with all those fragments.
What Do You Use? As his power is neither an offensive or a defensive ability, Keagen usually arms himself with a knife. Being a master of parkour, it's all that he really needs to be able to outlast his enemies.
Where Did You Come From?
Keagen Lloyd Maximus was born into a respectable family household in Virginia, some driving distance away from Megalopis. While his family has no history of being superheros/villains, Keagen's grandfather did possess some traits of psychic abilities, and his family theorizes that those abilities were passed onto Keagen. As a child, his grandfather-a retired lawyer and also a martial arts enthusiast-taught him parkour, and told Keagen, "Should you ever have to use your abilities, know that they're not for fighting. That's why I'm teaching you how to defend yourself using your body,"
Though he was conscious of his dormant abilities and that he could awaken them whenever he chose, Keagen flat out refused to have anything to do with outside forces that might disturb him from his otherwise ordinary life. Upon entering third grade, Keagen became somewhat good friends with a transfer student from France. Years later, he claims that he doesn't remember who that student was, or rather perhaps just wanted to forget. That particular nameless student was also a psychic like Keagen, and the boy's abilities began to develop quietly, stirring only slightly in his mind. It wasn't until nearly the end of the school year, around May, that Keagen realized something was no longer right inside his mind. Disturbed and convinced that he was a freak, Keagen went to a woman who claimed that she could suppress his powers despite his parents' protesting. What she did was the exact opposite. Whether it had been intentional or not, Keagen's powers suddenly began exploding wildly, leaking out in rivers. Knowing that there was now no hopes of reversing, Keagen went through middle and high school enduring the pain every day of brushing past people in the hallways and hearing their ridiculous pasts and all that they did today, from getting up in the morning to going to their next class.
After a while, he became sick of it. While he remained cheerful and bright to his friends and family, he began to view ordinary human beings as pathetic, with nothing to do but live monotonous lives, shrouded in unnecessary fear and cloaked in a false happiness. Wanting to tear it apart, Keagen began to slowly pick at the ties that bonded people together, whether that be love, hatred, etc. Using his abilities to find out more then he ever needed to know, he began destroying others lives during his two years in college. Realizing that he had caused enough havoc there, Keagen dropped out and went to 'study abroad' in Europe, where he only continued his trail of mayhem. For three years, he stayed in Europe before finally coming back to the United States and quietly building a new life in Megalopis, where no one knew who he was.
He applied for a job as a Forensics Scientist not only because of his extraordinary science skills, but because he loved to see just how people met their unfortunate ends. While he hasn't stirred up too much trouble in the recent few months, he's still out there...watching...observing...and destroying in that patient way of his.
