I see nothing wrong in harming or even killing another human being. The only thing keeping me from doing so is my understanding that it is wrong to other people. So my psychopathic philosophy is only canceled out by my ability to sympathize with others. It's so ironic though that I have a strong sense of right and wrong only because the people I care about have such values.

maui boy no ka oi I see nothing wrong in harming or even killing another human being. The only thing keeping me from doing so is my understanding that it is wrong to other people. So my psychopathic philosophy is only canceled out by my ability to sympathize with others. It's so ironic though that I have a strong sense of right and wrong only because the people I care about have such values. Psychopathy is a bit old-fashioned, these days it's encompassed by the term "anti-social personality disorder". From your post I would hazard a guess that you are not psychopathic in any traditional sense because you evidently have strong bonds with other people (the lack of ability to form relationships of any kind is one of the defining characteristic of antisocial/psychotic type personalities) perhaps you are dissociative, which could be a disorder in itself, or it could be caused by an event/trauma, or be a symptom of another underlying illness like depression. Whatever the case is, you need to go to a QUALIFIED doctor. You need a diagnosis and you need some idea of how to proceed with your life. You can't hope to find that through random strangers on the internet. Please talk to somebody in your support network (family/friends) and ask them to help you find a suitable health - care professional (family doctor/psychologist/psychiatrist)

Geez midget, I seem to be following you everywhere.
Regardless, I do agree with her. I would suggest talking to a professional.

I've visited psychologists before (many due to my mom forcing me to go). APD was one of many possibilities that came up. I was ultimately only truly diagnosed with one disorder before I stopped going and that was ADHD. Well perhaps I don't have a specific mental disorder so much as I have a general apathy towards the way that others feel. Again though, it's strange that what matters to me is trying to convince people that I do care. In a sense, the only thing I care about is caring. Also you mentioned the "lack of ability to form relationships". If you are referring to social relationships, then this is true. I really have no idea how to "talk" with people. I am good at keeping people entertained and keeping the conversation going, but it's more of a chore to me than a necessity.

Well as long as you don't start killing people, the general public won't care if you're sociopathic. Actually most management positions require the ability to take emotions out of the situation.

I actually don't see a problem in killing either, if only for those who move society backwards.
A lack of apathy towards others might not be psychopathy, as you also understand that violent actions can harm others and you abide by that. I'd think someone truly psychotic wouldn't care if their actions hurt others, and would just murder for the sake of it.

You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep...
You're not psychopathic. You're just hard-nosed and very reserved to letting yourself be aroused in personal antagonism. In other words, you're no sap. And besides, crazy people don't KNOW they're crazy. Low key, I didn't realize I was OCD until my friend noticed that the collection of pictures I had of this one girl seemed a little nuts to him. That's when I got help.
...because reality is finally better than your dreams...

Hayley Williams. XD
I fell in love since I saw her in concert. I plastered my walls with pictures of her and couldn't stop thinking about her and that sexy voice.

...because reality is finally better than your dreams... Ha. Okay, that's a lot less creepy... I'm not even sure that's really OCD. People feel the need to find something to explain how they act, when for the most part, its probably normal. Look at this for example. You have her plastered all over your room, that may seem odd. Then again, every teenage girl has had an obsession with someone or some band at one point. Girls when I was in middle school had rooms decorated with the back street boys. Its just idolizing (Or if you're a dude, fantasizing)... Not a mental problem. I mean you're not youtubing yourself crying or trying to look like her, right?

Well, yeah, since you put it in perspective that makes a lot more sense. Maybe that wasn't a great example of what I was talking about but you know what I mean, right? Schizophrenic people don't realize they're talking to themselves, they think they are talking to a person they think they see. There's nothing crazy in talking to yourself if you know you aren't talking to anyone.

People who say they're crazy aren't crazy. You just lack some chemical balance. There are reports of people without what we call 'Empathy'. Not to be harsh, it just sounds like you lack it.
And yes Schizo is something that a person wouldn't normally know they have. It's a 1% chance to strike in anyone (There are some correlations, but very little and insignificant to actually be able to avoid it). Common things would be hearing voices, and commonly believing it's God telling you to go and kill someone. Paranoia is another type where you truly believe someone is out to get you or your family might try to kill you.
But most can't tell they have that problem because they're more on the belief that the FBI is after them and God is telling them what to do to survive.
