 Laying sprawled out in the grass, Sumai decided that today had to be the hottest day ever in ever.
His eyes remained shut as they were tired of squinting in the bright sun. Sighing, he resigned himself to laying there a little while longer. He began thinking thoughts that typically stayed away from the forefront of his mind to distract him from the heat.
It was hot times like this that made him think of how he and his sister used to play in the streams and shallow ponds. The corner of his mouth quirked up at the memory. They would always get completely soaked and their mother would scold them for getting water everywhere.
Playing with his sister in the sun would be way more fun than simply getting cooked in it. Slowly, he hauled himself up and began to trudge over to a nearby stream. He hoped that the water would cool him off a bit.

"No no no!" the small cheetah whined out as she began searching through the water. She had just found the first shell to take to her home but her sight never having been the best was failing her more looking into the water of the stream. Everything looked the same to her. She kept moving her paws about searching for it.
"Where is it!" She huffed out loudly as she finally gave up she moved out of the stream she shook off the water and sat down and glared at the stream. "Alright find if you want it that badly you can have it!" She yelled at it before growling she pounced the water splashing herself but she didn't mind as she began to 'bite' at the water looking pretty foolish no doubt.
"humph!" She huffed and moved from the water curling up under a tree and shivering hard from the cool weather. She really should try to find some sun so she wouldn't freeze to death but that took energy and she was to tired to move.

As he approached the stream, he dipped his paws in before fully sinking into the water. "Ahh," he sighed in slight relief as the water began to cool his heated fur and skin. Relaxing a bit, he waded around in the water, ducking his head in occasionally. "I could stay here forever," he said happily to himself, but he needed to get going sooner or later. He was about to get out of the water when he heard a voice and light noises a little further down from where he was.
Slowly moving toward the sound, he wondered who else could be out here. Of course, his curiosity had nearly gotten him severely injured or killed in the past, but he never seemed to learn. Getting closer, he finally saw the young cheetah that seemed to be having a fight with the very river he was standing in. Moving out of the water, he gradually approached her. "Hi! Did that stream take something from you?" he asked incredulously. Pink Myth Tag! Sorry, I didn't even notice you'd posted sweatdrop
